That's not an easter egg, that's a one-off predition of a word it doesn't know. I do like that it knows that word, however. I am also a fan.
i dont have swiftkeys, what is it trying to say?
Don't mean to hijack the thread but I'm just curious to know why Swiftkey requires full internet access.

My guess would be because it downloads language files when you install it.

It has Voice Input which sends what you said to a server, deciphers it, and sends it back..

I want swype but the beta is closed. Isn't there anything nice and legal I can do to get swype?!
There is "SlideIt" keyboard as well. Its pretty good, But it is not the same.
I always thought that ShapeWriter was superior to all of the keyboards in its class. That might be because it was the first one I ever used, though.
I was fortunate to get my beta version when they were open
Look for swiftkey it something like shapewriter and swype

When you say "I miss" it makes me think you had it before. That being said, if you had it before you can login and have them resend you the installer apk OTA. [Login on your phone]
I have been a long time xda'r and Android fan boy ever since I got my G1 on launch day. The phone I had before my G1 was a iPhone and I did love that phone.....till my G1 and haven't looked back since.
One thing that really kinda peeves me is when someone asks a question like "how do I install the stock launcher" and you see people respond with "Why would you want to get rid of TWLauncher?" One of the beautiful things about android is the deep level of customization you can do.
Dont like your back ground: Change it.
Dont like the stock mms app: install a different one.
Dont like the notification bar color: Use metamorph and install a different one.
You have your tastes and preferences, but yours isn't the only one. If there was only one way to think, we would be asking Steve

Agree 100% of this. Unfortunately, most people don't understand the idea of an opinion.

Most Importantly... Why?
Just Kidding, Great Points Man
@zaduma
Why #1) Because I saw the potential in a open sourced mobile os, plus 3g, and GPS, and love to tinker with electronics to name some.
Why 2-5) Its in the statement you quoted
Why #6) Because you touch yourself at night zaduma
is it possible to port the new keyboard to the tab?
We won't know until it's released and we can have a look.

I installed it using root explorer. Obviously the keys are smaller than they should be but it looks really good. Auto correct is working great as well.

nice can u post up a screen shot wondering how small it looks lol
Ill have to do it when I get home. It isn't overly small and looks pretty sleek. Ill post a pic a little later when im done work. You should just install it and check it out. I can almost guarantee its not to small for the tab. It actually helps me type better. Its as wide as the whole screen just not as tall as the stock keyboards but yields no issue. I actually prefer the size.

So now we got the keyboard... how about porting the whole system now?
No seriously, what can we do with the system.img from the sdk?
I'm downloading the SDK now. I'll pick apart as much as I can. I want to see if that fancy new launcher will be an easy port. I'm going to try the keyboard out on my Tab and myTouch 4g now.

The launcher is on the market already. I tried it last night and it works fine. I still like LPP more though.

The new SDK threw me through a loop putting ADB in \platform-tools!
Search for Gingerbread Launcher.

They are essentially one and the same. The only difference is that one doesn't offer to back up to your Google account. I have both on my 6P and the AOSP is missing a few settings but overall the same thing as it always has been
Doesn't the AOSP keyboard have punctuation/symbols as longpress options on the keys? They also show up by default instead of having to longpress to see the alternate keys.

Yes it does, but so does the Google one, at least it does right now. I have both on my phone and just checked by long pressing the 'a' key

It's no problem, I use the AOSP one normally so i don't keep the Google one up to date on occasion.
