Non-OEM battery hack? - Droid X General

Any chance of getting non-oem batteries to be recognized and charge in the DX? Or does that require a kernel hack?

Battery Problems

I want to know whats wrong with my battery because evertime i would charge it. It would charge extremely slow. For example last night it was at 1% and and 5 hours later it was at 30%. And I remember when I first got the G2 it would charge fully in like 2 hours. What gives. Another thing is I'm using a universal charger with the G2 cable.

Are you not using the charger that shipped with it? The charger it comes with is 1000mA. It sounds like you may be using a 500 or 300mA charger.

That's what it was thanks

I have the same problem, over an 4 hours charge, it only goes up to ~75% from 27%. It is much slower than before. . .
Using the original charger?

Phone laggy when connected via charger

Hey guys. Anyone still noticing lag when plugged in on their phone? I'm on GB btw. I'm using my old BBC charger (the charger for the ATRIX is so short). Is this the case? Thanks!

+1 on this. Doesn't matter which charger I would use. 1st party or 3rd party.

Won't charge properly..??

Has anybody else had charging issues with their Nexus7? Mine ran out of juice this morning and shut down on me so I plugged in in to the original charger and its been on charge to 9 hours uninterrupted... yet just picked it up for some browsing sitting in the garden and the battery is only at 35% charged??? Something not right there surely?
Any advice

I noticed that mine will only charge with the factory charger so far.

Did you also use the original cable?
Yes, original everything....

Since posting this question, its been back on charge and as of now its up to 43%... not sure what's happening or if this was because it was completely dead I.e. wonder if the charger stops after a pre-set period??

There is a rather large thread on this issue. Something about which kind of cable and other issues. I have to use the OEM or it will not charge.

3hrs later and fully charged.... odd, perhaps a freak issue... so to confirm, used original charger and cable from the beginning... 9hrs to 35% then a further 3hrs with a disconnect to get to 100%
Thanks for assistant all,

Otg + fast charge?

Hey devs, just wanted to ask a question to some knowledgeable people.Timur @rootzwiki has put together a kernel for otg charging here http://rootzwiki.com/topic/37755-timurs-kernel-robust-usb-host-power-management/page__st__50
We were wondering if enabling fast charge would be harmful to the tablet in any way,its a fixed install with no power going from the tablet to otg only active on power from charger.
Any thoughts or input would be helpful.
Thanks ,Scott

Bump!
Anyone know if any existing kernels have this?
