I'm wondering if any Droid X users would be willing to help me figure out where the bluetooth Message Access (MAP) functions are stored. I'm interested in figuring out how to port this profile to the Nexus but since I don't have a Droid X I'm at a loss for figuring this out. I've already poured through the source code of the X to no avail.
Thanks in advance to anyone that's willing to help.

Basic introduction:
Me and a team of two other fellows are trying to develop a cool android application for a school assignment. We are focusing on Android v2.2+, and all have either a Droid Incredible or the Evo 4G.
The guts:
We'll be dealing with a few bits of hardware on the android side: the bluetooth radio, the camera, and the microphone.
The glory:
Our objective is that we're trying to use a phone's bluetooth connection and a computer's bluetooth connection to create a pairing of the two devices, and then have Windows recognize the phone as being an input microphone and video camera.
The question:
So far we have an android application that turns on the phone's bluetooth and initiates a camera preview. However, at this point we're kinda at a fork in the road... I have never dealt with anything like bluetooth before, and I've never programmed for android before.
I'm asking for some pointers and / or a focus point here. Unfortunately for our program already being so basic, we already aren't exactly sure of where to go from here. I typically find the android documentation to be way over elaborate with techspeak and under par with examples.
You can view all of our current code on our google code page: http://code.google.com/p/red-dragon/ (the name of our team is a bit of an inside joke )
Thanks a bunch guys!
I've done some searching and can't seem to find a definative answer to this one. I have a Droid 2 stock ROM after the latest OTA update (version 2.3.3) rooted.
I also have a gTablet that is not stock ROM. I have a Navigation application that does onboard navigation just fine but I need a GPS source.
I've tried several ways to use my Droid 2 as the GPS transmitter that can be recieved by the tablet without success.
Does anyone have any suggestions or apps that they could point me to to make this type of function a reality?
Thanks in advance.
Hello all,
I'm trying to make a short range messaging app that allows people in bluetooth range to just send messages out to whoever might be listening. I've been looking everywhere for how this might be done but I've come up nearly empty handed. I'm almost ready to give up, but when I was examining the way bump sends files there is no pairing to be done it just seems to work. Does anyone know how I might accomplish my goal?
Thank you!
In my quest to resolve my Bluetooth issues (mainly interference issues between my moto 360 which is BT le and my car not being able to connect when the watch is on and in range). I've found many people complaining that many bluetooth issues popped up after Google switched to using BlueDroid for the Bluetooth stack around android 4.4. I came across this project https://code.google.com/p/aosp-bluez/https://code.google.com/p/aosp-bluez/ which attempts to build Bluez (the previous default Bluetooth stack) back in to android 4.4 & 5.0 (and above possibly).
Any ROM devs care to chime in on whether they'd be willing to try this in their build? I'm not against trying to build it myself but it sounds as though I'll need some drivers that may or may not be available for the N6 as it is for the N5. Any help, advice or a point in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hey there everyone. I recently purchased one of these devices to work with my Police Scanner to make it available online for my community to help teach bad weather.
I've got everything installed and windows shows no other updates available however when I check the audio input there are two listed. The Intel one and the USB one. I'm not sure what the USB one is but I've connected my phone playing music and neither of them show the audio bar getting anything. I've made sure the MIC is enabled and I'm not sure what to do from here. Not sure if I got a bad unit or if there is a known issue with a fix.
Any help anyone can offer is greatly appreciated.
If anyone can offer advice on this I would greatly appreciate it.
