Does the di18 come with the di07 update?, mine failed to install di07 previously but it installed di18 just fine without installing di07?

i nandroid back to stock because i wanted ji6 update i connect to kies and there is no update.... what do i do? do i have to update kies?
So yesterday I wanted to go back to stock rom by flashing noobnl's stock DI18 rom without using odin. I wasn't sure i was supposed to but i also flashed the DI18 modem zip. When I tried to do so the installation was aborted and for some odd reason, i'm back to DG27 baseband... Can someone help me out? Do I have to flash back to stock via Odin or what? (btw, i'm rather new to Android... came from WM)
OK, so I have the DK28 and I'm not rooted. I downloaded the KB13 and tried to flash it, but it doesn't work. I suspect it is because I'm on DK28. Question is, will there be a way to flash KB13 at some point for those of us who flashed DK28?
I think you mean EB13 and yes you just have to wait a few days...or odin to DI18 if you want to have it now....
1. u shud redownload eb13 ..not kb13.. apparently samsung goofed up and uploaded something weird...
2. u ll have to odin back to di18 and then flash eb13 on top.. or as some others are ssaying...just using samsungs tool and flash eb13...should work I suppose
The first thing Samsung put out was called KB13 and was acutally an EB01 build. They quickly pulled that and replaced it with the right EB13 file. OP got in on the first batch of downloads and shouldn't flash that update.
You can either go download the new update, or install root and recovery, then flash this.
Hello all, I rooted my wife's phone when it first came out and told her not to take any updates.
Well She's still on 4.2.2, software/baseband L720VPUAMDL and want to know what is the best route to get her updated to the latest while staying rooted?
Im not to used to Samsungs and its been a while since I attacked anything samsung related and am currently searching to get me familiarized again. :good:
Best way is back everything up, Odin the NAE .tar file, let the phone take the NG2 OTA, then reroot and restore.
Would I need to unroot first or can I simply run the latest update?
You would have to unroot in order to accept an OTA update. And if you have removed any bloatware, it will still probably fail unfortunately.

You can go to sammobile.com to get the NAE firmware.
The only method that doesn't work to root the latest version (NG2) is Towelroot. The other methods still work.

I'm on G900VVRU1AN12 and I unrooted my phone with Super SU so that I could take the updates. I didn't care about losing root. However, whenever I try to install the updates, it says the update has failed. How can I get the update to install?
You have to either flash a stock ni2 tar with Odin and take the ota or flash an oa8 or oc4 tar (depending on which you want) with Odin.
