Hi,
I'd like your help in order to connect my acer iconia tab with macbook pro, because it hasn't been dedected external disc.
can you help me?
I' ve seen that for windows, exists usb_acer_1.06.1500.A30H_A driver.
sorry for my bad english ^^
Sadly it does not work. It appears USB-connection is done by MTP (media transfer protocol) which works with Windows but not with Mac.

The Iconia connects with Macs using either Android File Transfer or XNJB. You'll have to google since i can't post links. Android File Transfer has a bug or maybe it's honeycomb where when you add a microsd card or connect the USB to an ext HD, AFT crashes. And the only way to fix it is to factory reset your Iconia.
That was really a great help

android file transfer only works with the internal sd-card. does not work with microSD.
i uses "wifi file explorer pro". works beautifully and i can upload files directly to my microSD.

Just curious if you could visit, say, xda developers, (haha) and download a rom for your droid (phone) directly to the tablet, and then hook up your phone to the tablet via usb host and transfer the file to the phone's sd card in order to flash a new rom? Basically making the tablet act as a computer.
Hi guys, i know that you problably answered these questions several times already, but i couldn´t find a exact match for what i want to do.
I have an OTG cable and a 4 port USB hub that i´m using for tests. I´m using stock 4.2 and stock kernel.
1- I´d like to add a flash drive or a external usb hard disk as a default storage device, is there any way to do this without external apps? like the N7 had microSD support? I saw a topic where some user was able to do this, but i can´t find it. Can i install games and everything if i do this? None of my FAT32 cflash drives were recognized. NTFS drives paragon NTFS mounted but it was not recognized by system in storage options.
2- Overclock using SET CPU will work as usual even using stock kernel? Which settings do you recommend me to use?
3- As you can see, i´m a noob considering the rooting possibilities, which more do you recommend me to do to fully use the potential of my Nexus 7, i use it mainly for playing games and emulators, surfing internet and watching movies. The only thing i did was modifying the script to run XBOX360 wireless controller perfectly. Any recommendations to rooting i will be very grateful, thanks!
Hey
Is that possbile with an OTG cable? my dad tried but it does not work. (if he connects a DOK into the tablet it works)
Thanks
otg must work on g2...
i used both otg cable and usb/otg stick (sandisk dual 32gb)
if that doesn't work for you, you can try copying files via wifi transfer from one device to another (there are apps for that like Airdroid)
2 things id like to know
1. When you update to 3.1 it says you can use the right analog to use mouse in games and apps that dont use the right analog with apps like chrome - i can do this in 3.0 so whats the update??
2. Can i have write support to my NTFS 4tb HDD which is working fine now (on 3.0) or does 3.1 not support that.
I want to use it so folder mount will work with my HDD (which is external storage) which it currently doesn't due to no write access.
Also would like to know if 3.1 supports multiple partitions and whether you can make use one of them partitions as adaptable storage - just curious about this one....
