Ok thanks for the response
Just to be clear. It only comes with 16gb storage and I believe 512mb internal I may be incorrect on the second figure but I can tell u for sure its not 16gb. Only 16gb sd

Are you saying I can't use microSDHC? You said you are using MicroSD for 16 GB, from my reading, the biggest size for MicroSD is 2GB.
So...
i use kingston micro sdhc 16gb

He's actually saying that you CAN use micrSDHC's.
So go ahead and buy one. I'm due for an upgrade myself.
I assumed that you knew that 16gb is HC anyway which is why I just said micro sd

I'm under the impression that the epic 4g, and nexus s both use inand type storage, however as you probably know the nexus has 16gb of internal storage. My question is if you were to come across the drive the nexus uses can you put that in your epic?

Please post questions in General section.
I was actually going to make a new topic related to this. being so accustomed to copying zips to my sd, and flashing, I wonder what this is going to mean if google or oems are phasing out the use of external storage, or some type of partition ...?
Sent from the future.
I would have to say no on this as its probably build right onto the board itself.

Samsung uses their own OneNAND in our phones, Nexus S uses iNAND which is made by Sandisk...and the GSM phones use MovinNAND...so if you say they all use NAND..I guess thats true..but that doesn't make them remotely the same...

What class would you guys say is over doing it for a mt4g? I'm also thinking a 16 gb card for the size, but maybe 32, because I'm running out of space on my phone.
Requirements:
Good price
16 gb at least, but maybe higher
Good class, so it's not slow, but not over doing it
It would also be better if I can find it in stores, because I can't buy things online really, except for stuff off of Amazon, but it seems like too much work for that .
Thanks in advance!
16,should be more than enough.

I just went through this myself.
I opted for a class 6, 16GB card.
Class 6 was more than enough speed for anything my phone does. It might be a little laggy if I'm dumping 4GB of MP3's to it...but how often do I do that?
And I might fill a 16GB card eventually. But by the time I do that sometime next year they will have 64GB cards out so the 32GB cards will drop in price dramatically.
16 or 32. I have a 8gb sandisk class 4 but 8gb is not enough for me. I need all my music with me and enough room for roms, backups, and kernals haha.
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA App
Yeah, my 8gb card is completely filled up, so I'm hoping for at least a 16gb card, but a 32gb would be better. So a class 6 card would be good enough though?
My personal opinion is don't go below Class 6 on anything 16GB and above.
Does the myTouch 4g accept microSDHC cards?
ANY 4GB or above card is SDHC. Since MT4G supports up to 32GB, the answer is obvious.
Steven, HC means high capacity which would be anything beyond 2GB as Jack stated. So yes our MT4G does accept microSDHC as it ships with 8GB SD card.
Now you may want to look in to Patriot LX 32GB Class 10. Which is decent for the price, I suggest you do a search on our very forum and find user review before you order over Kingston or SanDisk.

I know this question has been asked and answered so just search .
But don't spend $200 on it, I've seen them on sale for $99. Just keep an eye on the slickdeals forum.
I have had 0 issues with Link2sd once I made both partitions fat32 Primary. I did have some issues in the beginning when I had the second Partition anything other than Fat32.
I tried that as well and still having the issue. May I ask how you are partitioning your card?

Don't push move to sd, hit the Create Link button.. Move to sd will not work here, nor is it supposed to from what i have read.

Does it even support sdxc cards? The specs only say up to 32gb sdhc.

No biggie; got the 16gb and put a 64gb micro sd in it. 80gb is sufficient for me ;-)

Thats pretty damn costly, as mentioned why not just add a larger sd card?
Pants shat.
This + 64gb microsd = duh.

This isnt actually that expensive. Its like +£80 on the 16gb here which is totally acceptable.

Yeah i know its still a chunk of change but i mean relatively. I was expecting it to run around £800.

16GB is good enough for me, you can always upgrade it with a 64GB (+/-) SD Card
I know people always say put in an SD card, but internal storage is FAR superior to microSD. MicroSD is a great convenience, but I would take large internal capacity over microSD anyday.

It's not just apps. Videos and pictures. Pictures don't take up that much but some of the MKV videos I like to watch take a gig for each one. Thank goodness for microsd.

Videos, music, pictures. Plus to could still put at 64 SD SD card and get 128 GB of storage, excluding what the system uses.

64gb is crazy space with 16GB plus 32GB card plus my 50GB drop box I will struggle to fill it and I have a ton of music lol some people must have loads of uneccessary stuff lol

i really don't see any practical reasons to have so many things that would amount to 80~ gb on your phone
