I download a zip file and tried to open it, but Nesoid intercepted the action and it obviously failed. I tried opening it manually using Super Manager with no luck. I noticed that the icon was a white piece of paper (representing an unknown file type). There are also PDF's that show no file type, but I have viewed them just fine before. Is there a way to set my file associations?

I found a icon called "Icon" in the games folder (where jawbreaker & solitaire reside). When I try to open it it gives me this error message,
ceshell.dll,-162
Cannot find "ceshell" (or one if components). Make sure the path and filename are correct and all the required libraries are available.
There is also a file called "gamesico" in the WIndows folder, which gives the same response as above.
Please help!
Open the folder using file explorer and delete the icon.

I've seena few posts on different sites about this. I also found this on Microsoft's site

Might be of help just to explain what it is / was, but not how it got there.
I have the following problem - for example when I open word mobile and it shows me the files i have in the default word directory, the first column (the file name) is so small that i cannot make out which file to open because it only shows the first 2 letters of the file name. When i open the same directory through File Explorer the file name is clearly visible. This is very irritating when working with a lot of files in any application (word, exel, notes, etc.). I am using a Gullum VII rom, and I can't remember whether or not I had this problem with the original wm5 rom. Is there any way of tinkering with registry values to solve this problem?
You just need to find the way to put a dot before the name of folder.
In XP this would be easy but in Vista or Seven this might be harder.
When you put a dot for exemple on the folder .TEMP the system will say that you need to name the file.
Use an ftp client and connect to your pc and you will be fine renaming the folder.
To disable pics and movies to show up in the interface. you just need to put a file named .nomedia in the folder that contain those pics or movies.
In windows you can create a folder with a . by using CMD and the command "MKDIR" eg.
F:\>mkdir .private
Or simply use a file manager on your phone to create the folder.
Just use Astro file manager on the market.
Long press the file you want to hide/edit/rename/insert dot before filename.
Android then hides any pics you have from the gallery app.
Assign any video apps to scan the file without the dot, they will also be hidden under dot mode, but a rescan may be required.
Suggest app protector pro to put a security pattern on Astro.
I personally don't have any pr0n on my phone... No, really.
useful for thumb in album mostly...
don't need to hide porn if it's your phone
I've been banging my head on this, but can't seem to get it to work.
I'm trying to launch a file manager from my app. Here's the code I'm using.. I think (thought) it was correct, but I'm missing something. I want it to pop up a list of available file managers to open to that path.
Code:
Url = "file:///sdcard/";
Intent fileMangerIntent = new Intent(Intent.ACTION_VIEW, Uri.parse(Url));
startActivity(fileMangerIntent);
Thanks.
Edit: I've tried just passing /sdcard as the path, and also with and without the trailing slash. I've tried with an http url and it works as intended.
try using ACTION_CHOOSER, it should display all the activities on the phone that can handle that type of URI. http://developer.android.com/reference/android/content/Intent.html#ACTION_CHOOSER
Thanks.. I'll try that..
Doesn't seem to do what I'm trying to get it to do. If I specify a file and a mimetype (ie. a jpeg), then it works to popup a list of apps to view the file.
And with AndExplorer, I can have it popup as a file chooser or directory chooser.
But what i'm trying to is just launch a file explorer at the given path. Don't need any information back.
What I'm working on is an app that lists all attached usb drives (on HC Tablets) and allows mounting/unmounting any/all devices of ext, fat, ntfs. And I want to be able to click the mount points in my app to switch to a file explorer to browse the files.
But it doesn't seem like any of the file managers handle that. I might have to build in a minimal file manager.
If the file browsers you are trying to incorporate into your app dont support an entry point that takes you straight to a directory then it'll be hard to make this work. I guess the best you can do is look at the published intents and see if there is a way to pass a directory.

I am using Windows 10. I have installed the latest Google USB drivers - downloaded and installed from here: http://developer.android.com/sdk/win-usb.html .
When I plug in, my device is detected, which proves that the drivers are installed.
1) When I touch the Photo Transfer option (PTP), I only get the DCIM and Pictures folder. If I open the DCIM folder, I see thumbnails of all my images. Some thumbnails show the actual image as well. However, when I open them, I get the following error: http://postimg.org/image/y2c805lgd/
Why?
2) When I touch the File Transfer option (MTP), I can open the DCIM folder, and I can see all the thumbnails, but I get the same error as above. ( http://postimg.org/image/y2c805lgd/ )
In short, I am unable to open any JPEG files created by my Nexus 6P camera on my laptop. I copied the JPEGs to my Desktop, and I tried to open the files, and surprise - I am STILL getting the SAME error!
The error is "Windows cannot find "". Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again."
I am able to open TEXT files, and other audio files from my device. It's only the images I have this error with.
Please help.
What happens if you right click on an image and select "open with..." and manually choose an application?
There is no "Open With". There is Open, Set as Desktop Background, Edit, Print, Cut, Copy, Delete, Rename, and Properties. Copying and pasting works, but opening the transferred file from my Desktop also throws the same error.
This could be something to do with encryption.
Seems like it was an issue with Microsoft Photos (the default photo viewer app in Windows 10). I replaced it with another third party app from the store, and the photos open fine.
This is bad Microsoft. I don't know why this is happening.
I use Infranview with no problems, I also installed ccleaner to uninstall all useless preinstalled apps in Windows 10 (Alarms, Calculator, Weather) and also uninstalled Photos and just use infranview. fast and works with everything I throw at it. good luck!
