[Q] i recently flashed cyanogen 5 on my g1 any way to get market back??

Ok I just recently flashed cyanogen 5 on my g1 everything works but my market app dissapeared is there a way to restore this or do I just need to find a rom that has market??

You most likely will not find a ROM with the market built in because there are copyright issues with Google. You can flash the Google Apps file after you flashed the ROM to get Google Apps (including the Market).

I recommend using the tiny version of Gapps because you can just download what other Google apps you want from the market.

apps and new roms

when ever i flash a new rom all the apps that i have installed even ones i uninstalled start to download in the market ?? any idea how to fix this maybe even wipe my maket history beside my paid apps and i just started using lex lite 3 and im getting random reboots

Funny, I recently reflashed fission rom and experienced the same thing. I thought about playing with the "detach from market" option in Titanium Backup.
Ultimately I just manually stopped all the downloads and proceeded in setting up my accounts and batch restoring my apps via Titanium.

I think this happens when you first sign into Google after you boot your new rom for the first time. I skip logging into Google, and then it doesn't download all the apps right away. later I set up my google account and then go into the market and reinstall what I want.

I tried to change the battery icons on my new Arc, it didn't work and I was obliged to reflash the root image to get my phone back.
Everyhting looked working again but not the market.
It will FC everytime it download and install an app!
I tried to uninstall it via titanium backup then reinstall a new market apk but without success, still FCs
What should I do now?

Try going to Settings/Applications/Manage Applications/ then Wipe Everything Associated with Google, Checking Services, Market, Market Updater, Uploader, etc. Either that or Reboot to Recovery and wipe Cache, DalvikCache!!

Fix permission on Clockwork?

Hello,
I recently updated to ota2 using the cwr method and ever since then my market keeps FCing i can't download any apps or update any apps. I tried to change market too the nee Google play store but to no avail. I can basically browse the apps but i can't download them since myapps fc's when i click the download adreeement. I would be grateful for any assistance thank you.

[Q] Can someone post the 4.1.2 version of gmail apk?

I updated to the unofficial 4.2 gmail apk, uninstalled and tried restoring original version back via Titanium so I could use market to update today. The phone froze, and Titanium stopped showing my backup. Now I don't have gmail. I tried going to Market and downloading gmail, but it says software cannot install because it is not a compatible update. Ideas? Or should I just side-load it and reattach to market? I'm worried about future OTA updates etc.
