We already have Froyo (CM6) but not with Sense.
Desire is getting 2.2 Froyo with Sense Update this weekend.
Also Evo is getting it Ago. 3 but that one cannot be ported or I'm wrong?

possibly? we only have a small handful of devs, so im not sure if anyone will do it? personally i don't like sense, i just want a stable froyo rom.
Use paid LauncherPro and you'll get all your "Sense" widgets

Is not about Widgets, I like more Sense Apps than the Vanilla.

Which Sense apps? There are great replacements for almost if not all of them.
I loved Sense and would not flash an AOSP Rom, but once they released the first build of CM6 back in June I flashed it and kept it on my phone for 3 weeks. I installed launcher pro and beautiful widgets along with some other apps that I thought were decent like extended control widget. I got sense deprived and flashed a sense rom back on, but found myself reinstalling launcher pro because I like dock a lot more than Sense. And people can say that they can make a ROM with Sense just as fast as froyo are lying. I tried everything I could to get it as fast as froyo but was unable too. I have DC running right now, because I am working on porting something over from the EVO. Once everything is working on CM6 I will flash again.
The only thing that may be good is to get the HTC framework working with froyo and then you can still use the HTC apps, but other than that you can find alternative widgets that are close to or better than the HTC widgets

IMHO, the only one Not replaceable is the VVM. (and no, GoogVoice is not a great alternative/just as good, frankly. the number forwarding shell game, redundant emails, txtx, etc, annoying. and simply not as responsive or "easy to use") I hate to say it, but it was this feature that sold me on this phone. of course since I have found other reasons to love it.
everything else can be replaced easy. (in fact, msg me w/ your email, I can send a pack...)
personally not using Froyo just yet, looking forward to a Sense port as well... but I can wait.

well, it really depends on what phone its being released for... as far as I know, whats coming out is for the EVO, Desire, etc... and as darchstar said in this thread:

No porting the desire is not worth while. The legend will be the one I and several other dev's are waiting for this will get ported to the hero.

Hello,
HTC announced that they'll release froyo with HTC sense for the HTC Wildfire. When and IF they do that.. could we port it to Hero? It's basically the same device. Only thing that changes is the screen.
And the resolution is a very difficult thing to fix. You have to edit every graphic to fit and tonnes of other things. Just wait and one of the dev's will find the best rom for it (probably before it is even announced).
I think the dev's are waiting for a Legend 2.2 ROM, since it has the same resolution as the Hero. The processor is slightly different though I believe.
HTC's official legend froyo images etc. + HTC's official wildfire Procesor drivers etc. for Froyo = almost perfect Hero ROM

Heh. I asked HTC why they are developing a rom for Wildfire and not for Hero. Still waiting for their answer.

Isn't the wildfire still an ARMv7 chip ie. Cortex?
Or am I just getting confused with things?
wildfire uses the same chip as the hero.
it has more ram though.
Is there any chance we could port the new 2.1 Sense UI that Wildfire uses to Hero? The new HTC Dialer and stuff.

I don't think so since the Wildfire has a lower resolution so it would be difficult. Maybe it will be included in the Legend's Froyo ROM?

whats stopping the devs from doing it cant you just change the fw images add com.htc.recources.apk and rosie.apk and all other htc things and libs etc???? ima try tht actualy

Looks like we have a possible dump of a Gingerbread with sense enabled! Motoman will verify the ROM and see if it can be ported. The ROM comes from the HTC Huashan/A9188/T9188, which is basically a re-release of the HD2 for the chinese community. Here's hoping it'll be easily ported!
honestly the desire DHD is more like HD2 and not the HTC Huashan. the hardware is totally different :/

Right, agreed. But this is the first Gingerbread Sense build that's in the wild, so porting it might be possible... Hopefully it'll give us the benefits of Ginger with Sense (Which is what I want).
How cool! Motoman does done really great stuff, do I'm expecting more of the same!

Haha. 2.3.3+fully working+Sense 2.1=best rom for htc tattoo.
Sorry to burst your bubble, but a Sense 2.1 port will not come to the Tattoo, unless HTC releases a Sense 2.1 device with a QVGA display, which is not very likely..

its arm v7 only and we don't have sources so it's next to impossible

Dam - just popped back over to XDA to see what was available for a Tattoo someone has asked me to upgrade for them....
So if I'm reading this correctly theres is no ROMS past 1.6 for the Tattoo with the Sense interface?
Guys i think we have to buy a new phone probbly , i bought this one last summer thinking that HTC will realeas the 2.2 for Tattoo ( as they said) but bummer i bought and i had to root and put 2.3 , but i don't think that any furhter SENSE u.i will come for Tattoo.
If i buy another phone it will likely be HTC again.

Just wanna say that there is Android 2.2 ROM for HTC Tattoo with Sense UI. There are some things left to do, like FM Radio and Videorecorder, but this ROM looks very promising. I would be satisfied with fully working 2.2 ROM with Sense UI, doesn't need to be 2.3.

I HAVE PORTED A 2.2.1 htc ROM TO OUR E15I. I NEED PEOPLE THAT KNOW ABOUT KERNELS , LIBS AND OTHER STUFF TO GIVE ME A HAND PLEASE MAIL ME IF YOU CAN HELP ~

our measly x8 can not support sense 3.5 sorry but i am looking at either porting the aria because thatsd the closest i can find to our hardware or one ov the great roms i used to use on my old wildfire that is the wildpuzzle rom its great sexy nice and just very smooth rom but no sorry sense 3.5 is not ever going to be possible for our phones

I'll donate if it will be working, cuz I really love Sense. My next phone will be HTC for sure.
Can you get some closest info about your's ROM? 2.1 or 2.2? Maybe 2.3? Sense version?

i already have a HTC rom that is booting just need to get gsm FULLY working then i have to get data then vibrate then thats it it will be done ill upload the 1st test rom tonight
