I can boot to the Downloading screen, but that's it.
When I try to flash with Odin, as described in the "how to restore your epic to stock" thread, I get various errors. Here's what I get if I just try to flash the kernel:
Code:

If I try to flash the whole thing in the phone box instead of the pda box, I get this:

<ID:0/013> zImage
<ID:0/013> factoryfs.rfs
And it freezes about 40% of the way through, while trying to flash factoryfs.rfs
I've tried different com ports, different computers, with the battery/SD card in and out, both the DI07 and DG27 stock roms, and a couple different kernels.
I've also tried just about every combination of odin options.
Any ideas? Pretty desperate here...
which odin are you using? i havent gotten the one with epic support to work at all. i have debug enabled and reboot option, piick the pit file, the stock dg27 in pda and modem.bin in phone, put my phone into download mode and then plug it in and i have no issues

I've tried 1.0 (the one linked in that thread) and 1.3, the one that supposedly has epic support.
Where do you get modem.bin? I haven't tried that...

What OS r u using? I had to right click run as admin to do the odin thing. Just a suggestion other then that maybe the download is bad or try the new tar file that someone put in this forum with the di07 update already on it

Regarding modem.bin, Quoted from: How to Return to Stock/Fix Bricked Epic thread, bottom of first post notes:
Edit 2: Removed the Kernel and modem flash portion. This was redundant as the SPH-D700-DG27-8Gb-REL.tar already includes those updates. I also added a troubleshoot portion

Also, I don't know if this helps, but if I repartition I can install the stock kernel, which boots to a Samsung screen, but doesn't go any farther. Is that useful?

Try the newer release see if that helps. PIT and MODEM are NOT needed.
Do NOT use the SAMSUNG cable... Get another one if at all possible.

Just wanted to echo this and add that I have flashed to stock over 20 times by now and the only thing I have checked on the left side of odin is auto-reboot. I have also not had any issues using the samsung cable but others seem to so YMMV. And PDA is the only place you should be putting the stock tar file.
sent by an Epic 4g through the cosmos
UPDATE:
The problems seem to be with recovery.bin and datafs.rfs. When I remove them from the tar, it flashes successfully and boots past the Galaxy S screen to a black screen.
What can I do from here? Why could it not write those two?
Tynan
I am having the exact same problem and I cannot find a solution.
Odin gets stuck alot, sometimes i need to flash my phone 5-10 times before progress bar in Odin doesn't get stuck.Just keep trying and disable USB Power Saving mode if using a laptop.
There is gotta be a trick to it,it might be that you need to start odin first and then connect the phone,or hold power and 1 buttons for few seconds after working android appears,i don't know if they really work but it don't hurt to try.
It is bricked beyond repair. All I wanted to do was return to stock but instead got a bricked phone. When I get replaced I am not messing with this again because this is nothing like the Palm Pre with restore files provided by Palm.
The progress bar gets almost to the end then fails. I have been trying for the last 10 hours with no luck.

One thing the thread does not mention and that was preventing me from re-stocking my phone was checking the box next to the "PDA" button...Open Odin 1st, then boot your Epic into the Download screen, and then connect it to your PC. Once the "Com(#)" appears in the 1st box, you can now hit the "PIT" button to select the "s1_odin_20100512.pit" file. Next, PLACE A CHECK IN THE BOX next to the "PDA" button, then hit the "PDA" button to select the "SPH-D700-DG27-8Gb-REL.tar." After, on the left hand side under "Option," make sure only the "Auto Reboot" and "Debug En" boxes are selected. Hit start and it should go through
I've flashed my Epic with odin numerous times without any issues. I've used both the newer version with Epic support, and the older one.
This is what works for me-
1.) Extract all the contents of the Odin archive to a folder.
2.) Run Odin3 v1.3.exe from the folder you extracted the files to.
3.) Check Auto Reboot (and nothing else). DeBug checkbox is not present on the newer version.
4.) Add the stock tar you wish to flash to PDA section.
5.) Turn off your Epic, then initiate Download Mode by holding 1 and Power keys.
6.) Connect your USB cable and wait until the port # shows up in the ID:COM Box of Odin.
7.) Now press the Start button on Odin and let it do it's thing. Should take a few minuets.
You should not need the PIT file unless you are flashing a single kernel or radio. However if your phone is screwed up from a bad flash or not following these directions properly, you can fix it by pulling the battery, putting it back in, and flashing the PIT file by itself with nothing in PDA or PHONE.
That's it. Always works for me.
If you can get into Download Mode, it's not bricked.

Does it reboot after flashing the PIT file?
Also, which file are you trying to flash to the PDA section? You might want to re-download it. It could be corrupt.

I am sorry if this has been asked and answered, I've been searching the forum board for 4.5 hours trying to find the answer or some sort of point in the right direction. If you know the thread to answer my question, please don't flame me, just point it out...
With that said...
I attempted to upgrade my epic 4G from EB13 to EC05 last night. I did this with Odin3, everything said it passed no problem. Yet, it did not work. It would get to the Samsung screen then vibrate, pause, vibrate, pause, then nothing, just stayed there.
I followed the directions to flash the original EB13 that was on the phone to begin with. I followed the directions exactly, Odin failed, big surprise right? Now, Odin simply verified the MD5 said it was good and stopped. Now my phone just gets the 'phone-!-computer' icon, I can still boot into the downloading screen, but am unable to get Odin to do anything, am I missing something, or is there anything I can do to remedy this?
OK, I just tried the Samsung updater for eb13 and it failed at param.lfs
I am befuddled...

It's worth a try but the Samsung updater has it's own tar already. I think the answer he's looking for is in the Wiki.
I've searched through the wiki. Am I missing something? I find the root/recovery programs, they all say how to root, but I am not finding how to recover. for example, "One Click Root and Recovery", even though I cannot boot my phone, will it still recover? I tried it in the download screen, but it does not connect. How do I use these to recover?
I tried redownloading the tar again, SPH-D700-EB13-8Gb-REL.tar.md5, but I get the same result, Odin checks the file says it's OK then stops doing anything.
Am I using the incorrect tar? is there a tar that's not an MD5?
Are you using your stock samsung cable?

From the Wiki-
"If you get a FAILED error after it writes "param.lfs", try this method:
1. Reboot the phone and reset Odin
2. Load the pit file and place the tar in the Phone section
3. Start the recovery
4. The process will hang while writing "factoryfs.rfs"
5. Reboot the phone and reset Odin
6. Load the pit file, place the tar in the PDA section, and start the recovery again
7. It should now complete in about 3 mins.
8. Congratulations! Thank noobnl
If that doesn't work, take out the battery and reboot into download mode with only the usb cord plugged in."

This right here, The tar will be tar.md5, simply remove the .md5 from the end and try it.
Odin gives me problems on certain PCs too, if you have another computer, give that a go.

Yes I am in download mode, yellow work sign with digging android, "Downloading... Do not turn off Target.
Also yes, to placing the tar under PDA and using the stock cable, plugged directly into a directly soldered motherboard USB port
I am waiting for the tar to redownload, as soon as it does, I'll remove the .md5 extension.
I was trying to bonsai, that's how I got all screwed up.
Well....that didn't work.
Trying it now with the victory pit, and th eb13 tar. without the .md5 extension.
I got a small blue bar starting to show,

How did the phone shut off with a USB cable plugged in it? That makes no sense unless you have a really really bad cable.
Sent from my SPH-D700 using Tapatalk
I was just reading a post in which the user had used odin to put on d18 and he had no issue. Would this be detrimental to my phone since I started with eb13?
Do I need a different pit file instead of the victory_8G_100528.pit?
This is my first Android, been a Palm guy for years, but after my pre problems, I made the change. Theoretically going to older version shouldn't hurt, but I wanted to be sure.
One last thing, I seem to currently be getting to the datafs and nothing seems to happen after that, it's been about 10 minutes in this state, normal?
Thanks all for the help and assistance so far! it is much appreciated.
no idea how it shut off, it was on download screen, then black. took out battery, set back into downloading mode (#1 and power), now back at the datafs point, waiting...
oh, and the cable is brand new, using my wifes cable from her two day old epic.

The same exact problem happened to me. I believe it was caused by the USB connection not being strong enough for the recovery. I managed to get it to work by using a different USB port on my computer and trying repeatedly to make the recovery. After many attempts it went through and was successful. You likely will notice there is zero activity in Odin when this problem is encountered. I would try another USB port, start over with the same port (pull battery), try a different cable, try a different computer. After several hours of repeated attempts it finally went through for me.
I also used a different version of Odin to do the recovery v. 3.04. More about that version is shown here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1703998 The connection to Odin is a light blue in that version NOT yellow. I can confirm a very successful recovery from a soft bricked m110s.
I followed the steps shown in the Pit Stop which mirror these. The USB connection was so poor that occasionally it could not even be detected as a com port. One last thing is I made sure that all Kies processes were not running. I am on Windows Vista. CTL-ALT-DEL and end all Kies processes. I also had to load USB drivers which are part of heimdall-suite-1.3.1-win32. Look for a drivers directory in that suite and a file named zadig.exe. I'm totally new to this scene but you need a response and it worked for me. I hope some of what I wrote will help you and give you the answer to your recovery or some options to try to get the recovery started.

says it all about your level of knowledge )))
soo imho step 1 and 2 are usless and what would help and shorten the process is: step 3 with repartion ticked and pitfile from step 1
also it is good idea to backup /EFS/ partition that contains IMEI and from my experience when you flash wrong firmware (wrong device)
the efs partition aka imei gets corrupted and gives you back some internaly hardcoded imei with zeros at the end
so also the process of checking imei (checking device type) is not fully reliable
good intentions but poor execution - good if it works for ome but ...
Thank! dear for saving my bricked phone.
I bought a GT-I9000 from a online dealer but it was not a actual, it was a fake I9000 it was a M110s but I was not aware of this, its firmware version was 2.3.4 and have a lidroid rom installed with I9000 model no. and it was not connecting with Kies anymore so I decided to upgrade with Odin so I downloaded I9000 firmware with 2.3.6, and my phone got bricked. finally I found your guide and I saved my bricked phone.
thanks for your hard work.
But sir before its model no. and starting screen was showing GT-I9000 but now it is M110s at all. please can you give me any link to restore again to GT-I9000 model no. and starting screen. I have no additional information about baseband version but I only know Its model no. was
I9000 kernel version 2.6.35.7 build number lidroid- I9000-1.2

M110S Soft Bricked Solution
Hey !! i decided to make this thread because i saw many people from different countries and forums complaining about Korean M110s !!!
First of all if you messed up your device and you tried to re-partition and different pit files and wanna revert to stock this is fix for you !!
i myself spent 5 hours online trying to figure out how to fix my device ! so if you got M110s and its converted to i9000 ,you tired flashing i9000 firmware and it fails and on sticker under battery its written :GT-i9000 and I9000GSMH (scam)
its not my work i found the solution in other site and i would like to thank the original person who did this ! and ill try to expand his work i know its frustrating !!
**********************************
Common problems :
1-No Network
2-Home button is not working
3-UNkown baseband
4-No IMEI
5-No sounds
*********************************
Go to http://imei-number.com/imei-number-lookup/ and type your IMEI written under battery to see if you got the i9000 or M110S
Step 1 download Repair KiT from here ===> http://www.4shared.com/zip/In6R5gmA/repair.html
after you download the file extract it
Step 2 you will find Odin.exe in the extracted folder Run it and follow !
After running Odin enter Download mode (Volumedown+home+power(if u are coming from i9000 firmware) and home+power(M110S))
When you want to click on PIT OR PDA OR CSC Navigate to folder you extracted
Here You enter Donwload mode again with (Volumedown+home+power(if u are coming from i9000 firmware) and home+power(M110S))
Here your phone may boot please turn it off and enter Download mode by only HOME+POWER
Then your Phone should boot up Normally !! if You want you can flash latest firmware for M110S version 2.3.6 by entering download mode! leave
everything in odin and make sure re-partition is not checked and you are not using any PIT file just by downloading the firmware and press On PDA and navigate to its download location..(after extracting it ) here is the link ====> http://hotfile.com/dl/162341619/ed86...7_SKT.zip.html

Use odin to flash but now only thing i get is on startup the S logo and then it reboots.
When i take out the battery and put it back. Connect the USB cable it starts and show the little ring what freezes but after couple of minutes it connects to the PC and shows 2 memory cars. None of them i can access because PC tells me not partitioned. Cannot get the odin to connect and adb neither sees the phone.
Is there any way to get it running again?

So awhile back I bricked my Samsung Galaxy Tablet 4 by installing a 1 click root app and later restarting my tablet. I haven't been able to fix it since. I was using an app because of the locked bootloader. Is there a way to fix this? The tablet uses the T337AUCU2BOH4 firmware which I think I was able to find through google, although it said it only worked for nonrooted apps which I didn't understand.
You could search about Odin. With it you can install samsung stock firmware on your device, if you can still boot to download mode. Also it's best to avoid 1 click root apps(if possible) they seem to cause problems very often.

I found the firmware files here
I set my device to download mode and chose the file for the BL, AP, CP, and CSC section of Odin3 and click start. The program than stalls at SetupConnection and fails. I run Odin3 a second time and it's now stalling at Initialization. Later attempts I get a log with "Can't open the serial(COM) port". I Googled something that suggested I download the USB driver for the tablet so I downloaded this, but it didn't help.
Here's my log:

Thanks for finding that! I was actually originally following that guide although I had to find the firmware files elsewhere. I tried just selecting the AP, but it didn't work. I'm still getting the same set of errors.
Edit: I restarted Odin3 and unplugged and the cord and plugged it back in and I think it's working now. It started downloading and the tablet rebooted when it was done. At first, it looked promising, but it booted to some AT&T logo in the middle and white background which scared me a little. After a minute or so it booted up to the welcome menu to configure the tablet. Thanks so much for your help!

No problem. About that AT&T logo, you can get rid of it by finding "non-branded firmware" (or something like that I don't know the right term for it) or you can check if SM-T335 has same specs as your tablet(all its firmwares seem to be "non-branded"). Like with sm-t230 you can use sm-t231 roms. But be careful if you do that.
This site might have more firmwares http://forum.youmobile.org/downloads/?cat=151 thought I'm not sure have I ever tried to download from there. Atleast you can find build numbers there.
Or maybe rooting your device and changing boot animation.
Also there is a button for thanking : D (next to reply button) ---------------------------------------------------------------V
Looking for some direction if possible. I have a SM-T580, with no ROM, and am currently unable to flash a ROM via ODIN. I have re-installled TWRP and the verity patch but the device will not boot into TWRP/ recovery to install Lineage OS, or any other ROM for that matter. I attempted to re-pack Lineage as a .tar so that I could try to flash it but ODIN crashed when I tried it. Since my device had already updated to Oreo prior to it failing, I am not been able to reinstall a previous version, (I tried).
Currently am stuck at a flickering Logo screen., but only if USB is plugged in. If not plugged in, no boot...

The message in the top right corner says "Recovery is not SEANDROID Enforcing JTAG lock is not set". I can boot into download mode, just not sure what to flash at this point.
I have been able to restore my t580 back to nougat. Try autoroot here https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-a/how-to/root-t3674409
It will force you to facotry reset your device. The official twrp recovery isn't compatible with the Oreo 8.1 Update. Try flashing followmsi's newest twrp recovery from here https://drive.google.com/drive/mobi...-mGf0b_oQ69wirVcgd-okF-ps?sort=13&direction=a
In Odin (use 3.13.x) untick autoreboot or you will not be able to boot into recovery. After you flash twrp, press vol- and Power. When the screen turns black, immediately switch to home button and vol + and power. When you are succeed at booting twerp, you must format the data partition to remove encryption and reboot again to twerp to be able to use the data partition. Wipe all and install your favourite Rom. Try also to Flash newest followmsi Kernel. You can find it on the link above. I hope you find this post helpful.
In a similar situation. How do you just put it back to stock? I used the twrp, but I then tried to flash the latest stock in odin, and it failed.
another try.

Start from scratch and download a Nougat version of Android from Sammobile and Odin version 3.13.1. Boot into download mode and plug into PC after starting Odin. In this version of Odin you must unzip the tar file and select ONLY the AP and BL files. If you didn't see "Added" appear in the Odin log box when you plugged in the tablet, then you need to check the Samsung-Usb-Driver-v1.5.61.0 is installed on the PC. This install will replace TWRP with the stock recovery and the tablet should boot the stock ROM. If this works, it means your tablet is OK and we can proceed with installing TWRP and any custom ROM.
edit: There is nothing wrong with AndroidJail's advice. I just advise taking it one step at a time. IOW, get a stock ROM working first to make sure there isn't a hardware problem.
Edit: BTW, you don't have to bother setting up the stock ROM. Just want to make sure it boots OK before proceeding with TWRP and custom ROM.

In the same situation.
Upgraded to 8.1, installed Ashyx's version of TWRP.
Was attempting to remove encryption so i could access internal storage and SD card (and install LineageOS 15.1) when I messed up something with the partitions probably wiped out something important, TWRP gave a warning that there's no OS.
Now can't seem to flash anything through Odin (Using 3.13.1).
Tried the stock 8.1, doesn't work, stock BL, AP, CSC, nothing.
"can't open specified line", sometimes just freezes and fails.
Cannot get to recovery, cannot reflash TWRP.

Were you ever able to get your device working? I
was not, but just recently it was suggested that the wrong Bootloader REV could be causing my issue. Thought I would share with you.
has anyone made any progress regarding this issue. TWRP reboot fails every time I try and I have to flash to OREO 8.1 to restore device. All attempts to downgrade to Android 7 or 6 fail as well.

This may be difficult to explain. I've been scouring all through XDA searching for an answer to a second issue and this apparently is a third. So here I need to back up. My first issue was after I rooted my T580. I was Beta testing and on a search and destroy mission with a root method that worked well, yet had a few bugs which I was correcting at the time. I had already provided a fix for the Samsung Security Agent for people to take care of the issue where the device ask users to reboot. And I have noticed it often doesn't charge while in use. In the Developer Settings the USB Configuration does not move from MTP to Charge, this one seemed a Settings issue that I noticed on my tab that no-one else mentioned. I also ran into a difficulty with going to Download Mode and this was yielding different issues. No Recovery was one of them. Others were mentioning a redirection to a locked FRP. I tried to replicate the issue only to be locked into Download Mode and couldn't flash nor leave.
I got out of that by holding the power, home and both volumes down until the device shut off and reset (about 20 seconds). After this I booted up again and the Device Manager was giving me a notification of some security threat asking for a restart. This was the Security Agent again. I turned it off and tried to reboot to recovery. I got redirected to a blue page with red letters at the top left saying, "Custom Binaries Blocked by FRP Lock". The symtoms are: Bootlooping, won't load past Logo screen and often flickers. Download mode is accessable but Odin3 is not flashing official firmware. Worst of all? Absolutely no Recovery. I flashed this in: SM-T580 Binary 4 FRP Unlock.
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1iXrZR2E7m6Ai5InAw8u3lzeLhb3ThRo5?usp=sharing
Incorrect or invalid files are the reason for this happening which overload the Binaries so they're blocked! Now this got me out of FRP Lock which ended my personal issue. Here's some things I picked up along the way that are useful,
This one clears Knox:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1EolYe9auY9jslYSpSgHoon_YB00D2noV/view?usp=sharing
Here's an updated TWRP: (For the T580)
https://drive.google.com/file/d/125ucHgjdNYqs54k2EmiwJZY_KxTdsTMi/view?usp=sharing
And here's a patched Odin3.13B because the normal one has some difficulties:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/13c0uDH99PcUzO0cnHuyBKy2e-b_I1W53/view?usp=sharing
The second issue is with another tablet but very similar. having all the same symptoms but the recovery redirect doesn't say Custom Binaries blocked ect. It said:
Odin Mode
Download Speed
Fast
PRODUCT NAME: SM-T580
CURRENT BINARY: Custom
SYSTEM STATUS: Official
FRP LOCK: ON
Secure Download: Enabled
WARRANTY VOID: 1 (0x0500)
Frp is enabled.
Ignore pit partition
So far I can do nothing to correct the difficulty of the second FRP Lock. And here appears to be a third FRP Lock. This is unusual! It is not advisable to downgrade to 7.1 because of the differences in partitioning. And it's a serious consideration that whomever had the device before may have tried because it referrs to the pit files. I've tried many different methods, OEM Unlock, flashed the bootloader in, the BL, the BL and the AP, the 3 file (BL, AP & CSC) and the 4 file (BL, AP & Home CSC) and got nothing! But fixing the partition or pit files wasn't one of the methods.
Try holding Power+ Vol up AND vol down + home button (touch the screen with entire thumb over the charging port) all at once. When you see the writing popup let go of power but keep the other buttons pressed. Hope it helps. Worked for me
S.S
So Casper, just to confirm, you are able to load this TWRP on your T580 with 8.1? I have a rooted P580 with Samsung 8.1 and have never managed to get TWRP to load - I get a black screen/can't boot and have to install vanilla all over again to get past that. To my knowledge after searching everywhere there has not been a fix as of this date (9/30/19), and lots of people want that fix so they can load the adoptable storage patch zip and get past the 16GB storage limitation - that is my impetus as well - bought a quality high speed microSD for that purpose. Put many hours into already this so am reluctant to try again unless someone has verified that this TWRP will load under 8.1 on a 580. I assume that the T580 and P580 are TWRP identical. My FRP is unlocked so I don't share that part of your problem.
Having similar issue with my t580. Can boot to download mode but nothing else. Can get to splash screen if I leave download mode, but tablet sits there. If I plug it into wall charger I have grey battery icon with lightning bolt. I have tried flashing many combination files and BL/AP/CSC files with no luck. Odin(v3.13 and modded) hang at either setup connection or initialization. Trying to install TWRP does the same. I'm about ready to use this thing as a small boogie board. I have some images I'll post
See attached images. Also, screen will "flicker" aometimes. Not sure if that has to do with low battery or what. But when it is flickering, Odin seems to get to sboot. Well it did once. At that point FRP lock was showing off in Odin. But device would not boot back to download mode til I charged it for about 10min. Once I booted back to download mode, FRP was back on.
Well, I had a major problem with my T-580, no OS, unable to boot, tried 3 PCs and 2 laptops with no luck. Odin would just hang and that just sucked ass. (device battery had gone completely dead, that was the only thing that put me in the boot loop)
Posted questions in this thread and started another with no luck. https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...italzation-t3870557/post78234744#post78234744
Damn near took a hammer to the MF several times but I didn't.
I got an email last week about some responses to this thread and started reading, in the past I had taken out the 64MB micro SD and tried to load some files on it that way but that never worked.
I picked up the T-580 a couple of days ago, plugged it in (totally dead), let it charge for maybe 10mins.
I held the power, vol +-, and home buttons... and low and behold, the SOB booted up into the normal home screen!
I really could not believe it started right up without doing anything.
The 64MB micro SD was out of the slot when all this went on, so I think maybe all the BS with Odin and OS locks had something to do with the micro SD? Not sure, but I am glad I did not smash the MF.
Probably won't help anyone with this post but I wanted to share my latest experience with a rooted T-580. I would probably not root these devices again based on this **** ass experience, but I am glad I got the thing back.

Probably won't help anyone with this post but I wanted to share my latest experience with a rooted T-580. I would probably not root these devices again based on this **** ass experience, but I am glad I got the thing back.

You should name it Lazarus....?
Hi,
I just bought a tablet Samsung Galaxy A SM-T510 and when I run it, Android ask the last Google Account that was in it.
I searched a lot in this forum but I'm not sure to understand all the way to remove this verification.
I'm new here... Somebody could explain me the way to remove it ?
It's impossible to run Android without this email. I do not have access to the system configuration.
When I look for the Android Recovery, my version is T510XXU1ASEF XEF. I already tried to install a new firmware (I succeded and I was thinking it would be enough but it wasn't).
Big thank you for your help.
Search for SM-T510 FRP lock.

You must be doing something wrong. That's is the solution that works and it is the ONLY solution. If you can't get it to work, you got a brick.
edit: Make sure you have the combo files for the T510 and not some other model.

Ok...
My way :
- Recovery mode
- Wipe data/factory reset. Same for cache
- Reboot to BootLoader
- Launch Odin V3.13.1 like administrator
- Connect the tablet to PC
- Put the combination file into AP... Look that "Auto Reboot" and "F Reset Time" is checked.
- "Start".
It's good until there ?
Ty for your answer.

You have to be in "Download" mode to use Odin. And there are two steps in using the two combo files. I don't you recall the exact steps but they are in the instructions.

When I choose the option "Reboot to bootloader", I've a blue screen with "Downloading". This is not this way ?
When I connect the tablet to PC, Odin recognize it.

My tablet is a T580 and the download screen is green. But if Odin show "added" when you plug it into the PC, then it should work. You still have to proceed with the combo files as instructed.

- A blue screen appaers, press up to confirm

<ID:0/004> Total Binary size: 1492 M

<ID:0/004> DO NOT TURN OFF TARGET!!
<ID:0/004> Can't open the specified file. (Line: 1892)
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)
I check "re-partition" and "F Reset Time".
I'm I in the good way ?

You can't just use Odin on the combo file. That file must first be extracted to find the TWO files needed for Odin. Then you use Odin on one file first and then let the tablet reboot. Then go back into download and use Odin for the other file. I don't recall which file goes first but the instruction should be in the post where you found the file you downloaded.

When I extract the .rar, I've only only file that end with ".tar.md5"... I've only one file in the archive. I need to extract this ".tar.md5"? How can I do that?

You don't. md5 files are what you use in Odin. Again, not owning a T510, I don't know the exact process for it. For the T580, it is a two stage process. Maybe for the T510, you just use Odin on the one md5 file you extracted. Any further assistance will have to come from someone who has done it on the T510.
edit: BTW, you probably shouldn't check "re-partition" unless you are flashing a PIT file.

Ty for you help.
It's probably different between those two model.
I tried all way to flash correctly, I tried to download again other version of "combination file" to turn fail in success, but nothing works.
I searched for hours how to FRP unlock... Nobody have idea about my problem ?
When I'm in Downloading mode, I can see in the top left :
ODIN MODE
DOWNLOAD SPEED : FAST
PRODUCT NAME : SM-T510
CURRENT BINARY : Samsung Official
KG STATE : Prenormal
FRP LOCK : ON
OEM LOCK : ON(L)
Secure Download : Enabled
CCIC = S2MM005 hw: 7 boot: 8 main4a
CARRIER_ID:
WARRANTY VOID: 0 (0x0000)
RP SWREV B: 1 K: 1 S: 1
DID = 44d7f75a222c
Do I have to change something there or this is correct ?
For information, I can't change OEM cuzz I don't have access to system.
Yes, do not check the re partition. You are not partitioning the device. Flashing a combination file is the same on both the T580 and the T510. However, you should have 4 files to flash not just one. You should have a BL, AP and the CSC with the HOME CSC files. Put each one in their respective places. All files being used by Odin3 must be in "tar.md5" form. You do not have to plug in the USB cord to get the device into Download mode but you have to plug it in to flash it. You will get a blue connected section when you do.
Then apparently you are trying to get past the FRP lock. There are a variety of methods to remove the Google Account FRP lock on You Tube but this is the one you probably are looking for.

Don't check re-partition. That will re-partition the whole device, and ruin it. Was this device brand new or used??

He cant flash combo without a factory token as it needs approval now.. same as most all other new samsung devices are. The approval error displays on the phone itself once the flash fails in odin.

How do you obtain a factory token? If your tablet was bought from a legit seller on eBay, can you get one from Samsung? How do you use it?

I contacted Samsung which wouldn't help because I bought mine from EBay. Unaurthorized reseller was what I was told and they couldn't help me. So I scoured through You Tube videos and found nothing that will help unless the device had a SIM card which it doesn't. Sooner or later someone will get past this FRP account lock and we can use our tablets. In the meantime I'll experiment with it.

I just received my SM-T720 back from Samsung and I purchased on eBay. Had to have eBay (not the seller) send me a proof of purchase email to do it, but it was accepted. Probably depends on how helpful the person who handles your call wants to be. If I were you, I'd contact eBay and get a proof of purchase from them, and then try Samsung again.:fingers-crossed:
edit: As I recall, I did have to get fairly persistent before the rep agreed to help.:crying:
