Hello guys
Does anyone have UFNB8 bootloader only file?
Or is there a way to extract it from UFNB8 package and flash it stand alone trough odin??
In the test leaks this file was separated... but in the official its is included in the file of 1.5 Gb.

I get a failed msg when I try the OTA update.
my phone is a xt907 currently rooted and system version is 98.30.1XT907, no bloatware removed
I know how to use RSD lite. which and where can I get the right files to flash back to stock
I've been searching this site and with unlocked bootloaders and lock bootloaders I don't know which files to use to flash back to stock

You can actually just flash the OTA with RSD. You need to remove all the getvar and oem lines from the .xml file once unpacked then flash. Worked for me first try after many fails. you loose root etc and user/app data etc.
I've been flashing roms since my Droid 1 but that might be a little advanced for me.
I'd really just like the correct file to flash back to stock so then I can upgrade to KK
I used a script generator from another site, flashed back to stock and was able to take the OTA update.
Now I'm running KK, now I'll just have to wait like everyone else for root access again,
I was just wondering since now we have a bootloader unlock with G900V , is it possble to downgrade back to Kitkat?
If you are on a bootloader higher than OD5, then I'm pretty sure the answer is still no.
I think someone asked this in another thread.

The bootloader "unlock" isn't really a true unlock.
It modifies your current bootloader to a dev one.
Meaning..
OD5 Retail -> OD5 Dev
OE1 Retail -> OE1 Dev
PB1 Retail -> PB1 Dev
Maybe @GeTex could chime in and if I'm right, add it to the OP of her bootloader unlock thread so people know this from the start?
As far as I'm currently aware, it's possible to downgrade bootloaders, but it's a bit silly doing it
theres only two bootloaders, old and new, OG5- and OE1+

how would i go about doing this?
@jrkruse would best answer that. I'm not able to really make lengthy posts from mobile.
I an't confirm bootloader downgrades work but i swear someone said they did it
If your on bod5 or lower then yes you can downgrade. You do realize you can run kitkat roms with lollipop bootloaders right?
If you want to downgrade flash stock recovery that matches your firmware. Power of device after you flash stock recovery. Choose the firmware you want to downgrade to. Make sure firmware includes bootloader, like a full factory tar image but you will loose root using full factory tar image. or you can flash a firmware only tar image if there is one available. After you flash either one again power off the device.
Just make sure after you use odin and flash an image make sure auto reboot is unchecked and power device off after you flash it
Yeah - just don't flash the bootloader... The whole point of an unlocked bootloader is bypassing the verification of an image being flashed, I'm pretty sure that would allow you to downgrade.

Well I don't personally have a link to the file you want, but you should probably just look for a full tar.md5 of whatever version you're flashing to. Do a simple Google search.
Once you have it, decompress with 7zip (you can't edit a tar file, must be fully decompressed) and delete the "recovery.img" and "aboot.mbn" files. Then select the remaining files and compress them (using 7zip) into a .tar file, and flash away.
Might want to wait and see if @jrkruse inputs, as I'm not sure if you need to delete other partitions to be able to retain the unlocked bootloader. I did this to flash back to stock 5.0 and it worked fine.
Hi,
Having a hard time finding the latest (assume 21s?) firmware files i can flash. I know theres a full stock flashable zip but afaik I can't flash the bits I need from that. Anyone got the relevant files?

There is not big rom on X727 after firmware 5.8.019s, just OTA update. If you are on Locked bootloader / Stock Recovery you can download the update 21s and flash it via Update App.... Or rename de ota file to "update.zip" and flash it on Stock Recovery (Power + VOLUME +).
If you want a 21S or 23s complete Rom, you must to unlock bootloader and flash Custom recovery, then you can flash a 21s like VillarLeg o Mauro v2.2 23s... Good luck!
Does anybody know how to extract modem & bootloader from stock firmware into flashable .zip? Is it fairly straight forward?

Yeah i found this
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/general/guide-extract-bootloader-make-flashable-t2864264
That's for making Odin files. A method for creating a flashable .zip was requested.
For that matter, I can't really help you but I'm pretty sure the bootloader is protected and writable only in download mode.
