Anyone else getting a server error when trying to pull up their downloads in the market? I can browse the rest of the market but get a server error popup whenever I try to pull up my downloads. Cleared the market cache, still get the error. Been this way for hours now.
Edit: Blah, I need caffeine. I should have checked the google market support first before posting this. I see it's a wide spread problem. Fantastic. Sorry for the waste of a thread.
Eastern time here. Messed up for a few minutes then it started working again

In case this helps. I have an EVO 4G passed out at Google I/O. It came with Qik pre-installed. I don't see it listed in my Market downloads and I don't see Qik in the Market.
Any update on this? My QIK does not open, it forces close every thime I try to sign in and market does not show any update.

Qik is FC'ing on me every time I try o open it as well. The funny thing is that it worked perfectly this morning, even after downloading most of the apps (that I was able to find, but that's another thread ) that I had on my Moment w/ 2.1. I went to sleep for a few hours, didn't do anything special to the Evo when I got up. Then I get to work tonight to show my buddies the Qik app and....force closes every time. I hope they find a solution to this soon.
do a soft reset remove battery it worked for me

My Fascinate is rooted properly
Since then, I've installed SetCPU and Titanium Backup from the market...
Shortly after, my phone stopped being able to Download Apps from the Market...
So I uninstalled both programs
The Market says "Currently Downloading" but the Taskbar never shows it happening, and the little download bar in the App spins for a while and just stops.
I even left a simple game downloading overnight to no avail
I also tried clearing all the caches- download manager, market, etc...
Help!
Try canceling your downloads, logging into Talk, then trying again? Or cancel downloads, reboot, log into google Talk, then open Market

having the same prob
I had the same problem. Clearing all the cache and data for market and google apps worked for me.Though a google search has revealed results may vary.

This happens to me and many many people ALL THE TIME. The worst part is that there is never one reason why this happens or one fix. You just have to be lucky. I AM GETTING SICK AND TIRED OF THIS HAPPENING TO ME AND EVERYONE ELSE. Hopefully when froyo comes or something it will not happen anymore.
what does google talk do?

@billypunk81 That is a quick google for an answer.
And in the future please use the general forum for any and all questions. Unless you are developing something don't start a thread here.
Also give this a read.
good day.
I had same issue and nothing helped. I froze 'Market' and 'Market Updater' from Titanuim then thawed both right away. Started working after that.
Check and make sure Background Data is on. Maybe it got turned off somehow.
Try removing the 2.2 Market if you have it installed. That's what did it for me.
I ran into this situation when I mistakingly restored the 2.2 Market after flashing jt's clean ROM. To solve this, I removed Vendor.apk and reflashed jt's clean ROM. That fixed things for me.
Ok first of all lt me start by saying I did search this, but couldn't find anything relating directly to my problem. So now I will ask here. A couple days ago I went into the market browsing apps. I didnt even install anything but I got the updates pending notification. So I go into the my apps screen and choose the update all method. Now I know this usually works kind of half way because I have some custom themed apps on my phone that won't update because I didn't install them through the market (I think). Anyway they all download fine but when the actual download completed they all just sort of paused and had that horizontal scrolling effect you see just before it starts the actual install, which I've gotten before just never with all of them at once. Anyway what I usually do is just cancel the download and start it up right there after the cancelling. This time I did it and it immediately force closed on me. And wouldnt even let me open the market at all w/o fc'ing. I've tried several different market apk's and only with the most recent update I found could I open the market at all. But even then it still force closes when I click an app to review it. Any ideas how I might troubleshoot this? Logs to look at or somethin? Help?
cd's or tapes?
Go to 'manage applications' and clear data/cache for both market and market update.
I couldn't find the market update apk for my rom. (Epic experience, rfs, froyo, btw..) but I did it for the market one and it had no effect.
cd's or tapes?
Try clearing data for 'download manager'
Sent from by Bonzai'd Epic 4g.
Still a no go. Do you think if I try a different google account?
cd's or tapes?
I'm out of ideas, the things I suggested have always worked for me, but I was not getting FC's. If I were you I'd wipe cache/dalvik and re-flash the ROM, you won't lose data.
Ok this happened to me a few roms ago. What worked for me was to open the google talk app, login to it, and that re synced my google account info with the market app. And then downloads would actually start downloading. I read this solution in a thread and forget the orig. poster or i would cite him. Hope it works for you.
Edit: after re reading your pos I think I might of jumped the gun on my reply. Maybe this won't work for you.

Its cool guys I ended up reflashing.. I had to update my rom anyway I guess. Thanks for the help though every little bit counts.

Anyone else have issues with the android market on xoom?
have 3.2.1 and market versions 3.1.6 and if i open and hit my apps it fc's - when i try and update apps in the market it fcs
tried clearing data/cache but all that did was stop it fc'ing when i opened market - then i get fc when i go to my apps now.
xoom is not rooted - only happened in the last couple of weeks.
can still push apps to xoom from market.android.com
Clear it and do a hard reset. Mine did it too.

yes - but it was happening before that - been happening for about 2 weeks - a few days after the OTA update after 3.2.1 came out.
i will try uninstalling
already cleared the data on the market a couple of times - helped a little bit didnt make much difference - it only helped me get into the market - still fc on my apps
Mine did once in awhile, but only when I was going between screens very quickly.

Was having the same issue. I have docs to go as well. Also had more than one account see up. One would work but the others would all fc when going to my apps. Went into apps and cleared the app data and cache for the market. Went back in and chose the account it should be using and so far no more fc.

Maybe, but I found a few app updates that the market was having a hard time digesting. I'm not sure it's your system's problem.

Market on my US WIFI only Xoom updated itself to 3.3.11 automatically and i don't see any problems with it.
I installed the 3.3.11 apk (from androidpolice.com) to my GT10.1 and it has problems, missing backgrounds, small icons and text.
So there seem to be two different versions with the same version number, one for phones and one for tablets?
My Xoom is not rooted, so i can't get the apk from it. No one else has received the Market update? Maybe someone can pull the updated Market from Xoom.
Check your available ram
I've noticed as I've loaded up the old Xoom with lots of fun apps, that my market updates/downloads will choke if my ram starts to get a bit low. Makes sense.

will check this too
Long story short: since yesterday I have been unable to update any installed apps, or install new ones. When I try to do so, the app shows in-store as "downloading" but nothing actually happens and it's stuck at this stage forever. Stopping and restarting the service doesn't fix this, nor does completely powering off and on. Internet through the browser works as usual, as do all internet-enabled apps. I haven't installed or removed any software recently - the only change I did in the past 2 days is flash a new CWM recovery (went from 6.0.1.0 to 6.0.1.9) but I don't see what this has to do with the store.
I had this happen to me. If you go into settings > apps and clear data from Google Play Store, that fixed for me.

What rom are you using?
Stock. However I'm still on 4.1.2 - I blocked OTA updates until the current 4.2/4.2.1 bugs are fixed.
It's a long shot, but you can try to install the latest Gapps package from recovery. Or remove and re-add your Google account.
Would you happen to know where I can find the latest gapps package? Thanks!
(edit) found it http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-jb-20121130-signed.zip
Edit2) Oops the 11/30 gapps don't work with 4.1.x anymore, will try 10/11 instead.
http://goo.im/gapps
Since you're on a 4.1.2 rom, get the one for CyanogenMod 10.0.x
I same issue last night. Downloads were very slow. All stock on latest ROM.

Holy f*! The browser works, however downloading through the browser doesn't. I get "download starting" then nothing happens. Same with Chrome. I quickly checked if I'm not out of storage space - no, I have 8GB free. WTF is going on?
I figured it out. last week I was trying to solve my battery drain problems (can't find the thread anymore) and I ended up disabling the media storage service. That apparently disabled any app from downloading anything. I have re-enabled it and now can download. The store works, browsers work etc. I just hope that the battery hogging doesn't happen again.
When I have play store issues I just sign out of Google talk and sign back in and it fixes my problems .. also close the market after..

Doesn't matter if you use Google talk or not... For some weird reason the play store uses Google talk some how it may be to authenticate

If you can't download at all, a good method can be to clear data from "Google Framework Services" , delete google Account, reboot, recreate your Google Account.
I had the same problem. Enable download manager fixed it for me. After I did that all the apps I had tried to install started downloading and play store stayed open and did not force close.
