Can a developer make a widget similar to the Photos & Videos Tab on the WM HD2?
Or somehow get the HTC Photo Album to include the videos as one browses through it. The Photos/Videos tab is the only thing I miss from WM as I was able to have quick access to my media.
Thanks.

Social Engine is part of TF3D.
It depences on the HTC Album.
When you install it makes 2 items in you're settings.
Second Tab. Upload item
Third Tab Account Manager.
If you have installed the Youtube Cab.
It displays a Youtube icon.
When you click right of the Youtube Icon (a door) you can put your login and passoword of youre Youtube account.
On TF3d when you click on the camera tab you see the video's and pictures.
Then when you click album is loads all your video and pictures.
(With the version of Daran and Itje, albums hangs)
If you now click on menu you see there is a possibility to upload to Youtube.
There must also be a Facebook cab. That does that for Pictures.
I haven't found it yet.
More to come
I was puzzled as to why my thumbnail pics in touchflo3D tab were lo-res even though i resized all my pics to 800x480.
However I discovered if you have Resco Photo Viewer installed on your phone, your answers will be solved.
What I did was opened each photo that is currently displayed in my Favourite Album, in Resco Photo Viewer. I tweaked the brightness, colour, contrast to my liking (using the editing feature) and saved over (overwrite) the original photo and lo and behold, it turned instantly hi res in my touchflo3D photos tab.
I did this individually for all of my photos (55). Long one off process but worth it.
Also another tip. The photos are sorted in the touchflo3D tab by modification date so if there are particular photos you want to show first, modify them last. I figured out the order I wanted my photos to be in first and then modified them in the order of last photo to first photo.
This may work with some other ppc app that allows you to modify and resave photos, not just Resco Photo Viewer. Not tried others though.
Finally did you know the tab can also display thumbnails of your videos? Just make sure you have your video files in the same folder as your Favourite Album.
Hi people,
I've been reading up a lot on this forum since I got my new HTC Cruise (09) a few weeks ago, and I'm amazed at what's going on with windows mobile.
Currently I'm using my HTC Album when I want to watch movie clips, however, it lacks the ability to properly identify the video since it only shows on of the first frames of the video and not the file name. Therefore I normally start videos from the file explorer, but it's a little awkward and I cannot browse through the files like with pictures.
So is there a way to make HTC Album show me the file names while browsing through the files?
Thanks
Archer
Is there an alternative to HTC's Album - with similar large icons that can view photos and video.. I cannot seem to organise my files by name ( needed to view comics) or file size...also I don't seem to get preview thumbnail for WMV files.
Does someone know of any settings/reg.hack for the Album..or a good alternative, as Im not too keen on WM standard gallery app either.
Thanks.
I'm looking for the same thing, i searched over the registry, but i didn't found anything
I can't organize my pictures in the chronological order...
If i disable the Music and Photo Album tab, is it possible to access it from somewhere else ?
For example create a shortcut in the programs tab ?
Just use the file explorer, or try an alternate photo view. There should also be a link to add in album or photos as well
could you please suggest a suitable replacement to the two ?
personally i don't like WM player and the windows album is rather ugly.
I know a lot of people use CorePlayer for music, though I am not one of them. Music tab is good enough for me.
As for photos, I rarely look at photos on my device, so I can't really help you out there...
thanks, i'll take a look at core player
Try Microfi's Nitrogen for Music Playback.....though I'm not sure whether it works on Topaz...I haven't tried....an alha package I tried failed to install, so I left it altogether.... but give it a try...
