Hi,
I've done a few stupid things to my samsung vibrant which has cause some really serious issues to the phone like.....
1. volume buttons are reversed
2. home button doesn't function properly like not taking my to my home screen
3. no sound coming from speaker from music player or movies, but with headphones plugged in sound comes from speaker not headphones
And now I would like to go back to how the my vibrant was when i first got it from tmobile. How would i go about doing that?
Here is some info
baseband version: T959UVJFD
kernel: 2.6.29
firmware version: 2.1-update1
what i did to my phone:
1. root using update.zip and recovery mode method
2. mimocan stall fix using odin (which I think was the source of my problem from wrong procedures)
If someone could give me clear instructions on how to bring my phone back to the way it was new I would be eternally grateful.
There will allways come ppl that will say this, so I'll just drop it to you Try to search before you start another thread...
But since I know those replies are the most boring to get, I'll help you out too
In this thread you'll find enough info to flash your stock ROM through ODIN...

hello everyone.... fairly new too here but i have post before back in my mugal days..
Ok im having a big problem with my tablet, after a factory wipe (reset), and after boot up i get the introductory screen but the keyboard wont pop up. I then i figure let me just skip this part.
Get to what supposed to be the home screen but i get nothing just a black screen, but i am able too see notification bar with time and battery status but below is just black. I try and wipe again (holding volume down and power button) thinking maybe something didnt install correctly, and sure enought still the same problem. vibrate once followed by two consecutive vibrates (error setup wizard failed start force close)
called sprint they couldn't help me. Now my question is do anyone have the stock sprint firmware in the form of a update.zip so i can put on sdcard and flash to see if that fixes problem or do i just have a brick?

I didn't ask anyone to do anything for me, even thought i found it my self anyways thanks for those who helped.
Hey, so I recently got my Samsung Galaxy S II from at&t and I rooted it. I was trying to flash the villainrom onto it but I guess I flashed the english(not sure what to call it) version of it. Now my phones voice drivers wont work and my back button doesn't work. I tried to go into recovery mode and it lets me but I cant select anything because when I hit the home button to select something it just takes me back to the top of the list. I just want to get my phone back to stock. Can anyone help me please? I'm really very sorry if this is in the wrong place. Please, any insight on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
use the power button to select in recovery...if you have a power button ?

The power button just gets rid of all options and sits at the hat thats in the background. Is there anyway to restore to stock with my computer or odin or something? Thanks for the reply! Does anyone know if I can use the android SDK to access my phone?
cant you Odin flash a stock rom (at&t ofc) from samfirmware? this sure unroots your phone but also send it back to the original conditions.
After that, just root again.
That worked like a charm! Thank you! I didn't realize that I could flash it from Odin. Was tough finding the file that works with the at&t phone though. Here is the link to the post I found in case anyone else needs to do this. This is exactly what happened to me. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=18262016
Hi Guys,
So I've a Samsung Galaxy S i9000. Before I begin, can I just say I am totally and utterly technically un-savvy.
My friend rooted my phone so I could unlock it to use a particular sim card. However, my phone is now faulty and
I want to bring it back under warranty for repair/possible replacement.
I have this app called "Superuser" and I just cant get rid of it. I have tried a ridiculous amount of different YouTube
videos/blog instructions on how to un-root and delete the Superuser. None of them have worked in regards to removing
the app. I think I have un-rooted it but I don't know. Please please please can somebody help me! I've no idea what to do
and I don't understand 90% of the technical jargon in some of the instructions.
I tried restored it manually on my phone and via Kies but my phone was just totally restored the exact same way as it was
before (all photos, apps, contacts etc.). I've NO problem losing everything on my phone I don't care. The latest thing I tried was
an app where I typed in a code that apparently deletes the Superuser app but that kept saying it wouldn't work because it was a read
only file.
Here are my phones details:
Firmware: 2.3.3
Baseband: I9000XXJVO
Build Number: GINGERBREAD.XWJVH
Any help is very much appreciated. Thanks
Make note of the modem firmware by going to settings>about>baseband version
1. Go to samfirmware.com
2. Go to flash tools > I9000 and download it. Extract to desktop.
3. Download stock ROM. firmware> I9000 and then choose the one one that matches the baseband for your area. Like in Canada my baseband is I9000KG3. So that's the ROM I download.
4. Turn off your phone and put it in download mode by pressing volume down + power + home
5. Open Odin from your desktop and plug in your phone.
6. A yellow bar should highlight a com port. This means your phone is recognized, the number doesn't matter.
7. Tick repartition and load 512 put that came with the flash tool, and load your firmware into the PDA section.
8. Start Odin and let it do its magic.
9. When it is done, it might boot loop. Even if it doesn't, reboot into recovery (power off, then power home vol up) and wipe data factory reset.
10. Your phone is 10053-47338282747728728% stock.
11. Hit thanks

Deleting SuperUser will not unroot your phone, check on sammobile.com or checkfus the latest firmware for your country and flash with Odin.
You can find good guides on youtube about how to use it.
Wouldn't it be easier just to run it in recovery and flash unroot.zip file.
I always root my I9001 like this so it should also work in opposite way.
Typed with my I9001
It will leave traces. Best bet is to not.

I've looked at a bunch of other posts, been searching for a week for a solution to this but cant find anything.
I flashed the latest FoxHound ROM which is a KitKat rom.
I flashed it using the dev's instructions and after flashing, I had the wifi bug issue which I fixed. But the next issue was that I couldnt make or receive calls.
After this I tried flashing a couple of other roms and had exactly the same issue
The last Rom ive loaded is CyanogenMod 11-20140104-SNAPSHOT-M2-jfltexx
I've got the i9505
Says 4.4.2
SE Linux is enforcing (this used to be permissive - is that a problem? )
Baseband
i9505XXUFNA5
When I boot into download mode there is no Knox entry - i cant currently see the status although I'm guessing it's been tripped due to this flash which is fine, I just want to fix this issue and get it functioning correctly
Any help would be much appreciated.
Cheers
Edit:
Whenever I go into Apollo (music app), DSP manager FC's - says DSP manager has stopped working etc etc
When I try to make a call the screen goes blank, takes ages to respond, the phone at the other end is ringing but after they answer, nothing is heard.

Can you give a few more details - how did you delete that? from within the rom?
- ie: boot up, start ES file manager, find it, delete?
Thanks

Hey guys! I'm new here and I'd like to share with you the latest and probably the last official update N8000 will ever get (sad, I know - let's pour out the feelings of our souls together through Evanescence's Going Under [youtu.be/CdhqVtpR2ts]). It's the latest KitKat containing bug fixes and minor updates for N8000XXUDNE4. It was released in the middle of this year HOWEVER I'd like to ask you a favor in exchange. I can't download it here due to where it's been uploaded and my region's connection (more Evanescence!). Would you please upload a mirror on Mega for me? That'd be really nice and a great way to say thanks for this rom.

DO NOT check ‘Re-Partition’ option.
leave these checked: Auto Reboot and F.Reset Time check-boxes.
4) Reboot the Galaxy Note 10.1 N8000 into Download Mode: Turn it Off first. Now Press and hold the Volume Down, HOME and Power ON button at the same time). You will then presented into a “Warning Message” screen, just press the Volume Up to continue. Once the Android robot and a “Downloading” message appears.

(If you get failed errors, check the USB connection condition, repeat the whole process)
8.Wait until the phone completely reboots, then unplug it from PC.
Do factory reset again after flashing.
This is only optional just in-case you’ll experience bootloop and lag issues after flashing.
Press and hold Volume Up+ Home+Power button, then select the Wipe Data/Factory Reset, to gain a fresh firmware installed.
Sorry for the links
Don't forget to put the links in the propper way with "https://" in front of them. I just could't do it because I don't have 10 different posts helping users yet, which is kinda paradoxal since I must help people without giving links to anywhere. Also, I don't even know if I could post 10 different useful posts around here anytime soon.
I'm wondering if this kind of "update" could work on a N8010.
Any idea?
It would be nice to feel less in the past with my tab
