Clockwork Mod Recovery Issue - Vibrant General

I'm trying to do a recovery of a backup I did about a week ago (appx 600mb), and when I run the recovery module, it says MD5 mismatch. It outputs a text file, listed below. Please advise, I'm hoping I didn't lose my data. Thanks

I tried using rom manager to restore a nandroid backup that i just made last night and it said md5 mismatch
any ideas?

when yall did a nandroid did it say that there was a md5 checksum error at the end?

nope...it wouldn't let me restore one but it did another one....weird

hhmmm well i would assume there's a problem thats why yall are trying to nandroid restore? if so use one of the other stock t-mobile nandroids to restore with if you can

well i'll tell u what i did...i deleted touchwiz and accidently deleted my backup so now my android.process.acore keeps stopping

well i would say if you can get into adb use droidexplorer and find another rom and just take what you deleted back out and reinstall through droidexplorer if you need the apks i will take them from my phone and upload them for you

yes if you would please..i deleted the twlauncher and the tw wallpaper chooser i tried taking them out of another rom and it wouldn't install twlauncher. just tried to install the twlauncher apk file through package installer but it wouldn't install the app

well if youi have the files go download droidexplorer and try to install them through that it should work for you that way but ill pull them from my phone and upload them might take a while just fyi just got home and i do mechanic work so i feel kinda nasty lol ill put a link when done

http://www.mediafire.com/?2tldqzsmvvj5zem
there you go it say tw laucher or whatever lol but unzip it all the filles you should need are in there use droidexplorer from your computer and put them onto your phone then reboot and all should be well

they go in the system/app/ right? i put them there...and still having the error

fordstang99 said:

yeah system/app is where they go. did you get droidexplorer? if so use that to install them after you put the files in the correct folder

i tried under Tools, installing packages and it said it installed but its not working...then i tried copying the 4 files in the /system/app folder and it says copied 4 items but again not working...files arent showing up in AndExplorer even tho it says they copied....i even tried adb push from cmd prompt and i got permission denied

well maybe you should just use one of the update.zip type of roms but dont wipe so you can keep all your stuff that should work

ya haha think that will be easier....thanks for your help

your welcome sorry i couldnt be much help

Clockwork MD5 Mismatch Fix
Had the same problem with the md5 mismatch and fixed it by dropping al
the spaces of the back up Clockworks folder name.
I renamed the backup folder to "Clockworks FROYO.XWJP6 Standart"
and got the md5 mismatch error.
But when i changed the folder name to "FROYO.XWJP6Standart" (with no spaces)
it was fixed and worked for me.
good luck!

[Q] System update fails citing E: Signature Verification failed

I am on stock ROM (rooted and with clockworkmod recovery).
I am getting a popup for OTA system update saying "Would you like to install the following system software update?

But it fails reporting

I have tried to toggle signature verification to off and try to put the update to /sdcard/update.zip.
Can someone help me, guiding how can i install the update.

Ok man, you need to wait more than 3 hours to get a response... If you dont have that much time to wait, then good luck finding any other forum to help you out.
WHere did you download the cm rom from? try re-downloading it, re-wipe everything, and re-flash.

How to fix this?
Looks like you changed the email.apk. Replace the original email.apk and it should work after that.

No it won't. You need to find the correct email.apk for your device. If I remember correctly there is a thread that has the email.apk by kernel. If I see that again I'll post it for you.
