Droid X and Droid 2 Rom? - Droid Incredible General

Does anyone know if there is a working droid x (droid 2 uses the same) rom for the droid incredible or if one is being worked on? I have seen a couple ADW themes but they just dont do the trick. I feel like the minimal skinning looks better than stock, yet isnt over skinned like the sense ui. Please let me know if you hear anything!

Just switched

I just switched from a HTC Incredible, rooted, w/skyraider 3.0 loaded, to the Droid X. I have to say, I loved the HTC phones, had a droid before it that I didn't like to much, BUT, this X is amazing. The screen, for not being an LED, is amazing. It looks way better than the INC. Looks like some of the things on the screen actually jump out at you, like 3D or something... It seems to react faster to everything also. Anyone else been this happy with switching??? Oh and It is rooted and loaded with froyo 2.2, so has flash and all the free rooted apps, like wifi tether!
welcome to the dx side... yeah its amazing but dont get me wrong the dinc is pretty cool too with senses, just image if senses ul was on the dx instead of blur, holy! that would be one bad machine there, truely the king of android/droid devices of its time.
can you check the loaded version of the flash player you have for me? i need the full version numbers. thanks
also there's an updated version of your flashplayer, its found in the themes and apps section of this forum by me, but here it is >>> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=763584 <<<
The flash player on mine says version 10.1.72.10... I did really like the Dinc, BUT I don't see the major difference in sense and blur. What are the main differences???
yeah i guess i needed that update... thanks!
thanks for the info.
sense ui is so much cleaner and well put together. i cant really explaining the differences, but there is a huge difference in the two ui's and im sure someone else can explain it...

Well let me explain each:
HTC SENSE: Basically you have a dock which ONLY has soft-buttons for Phone, the app drawer, and I forget what the plus sign does.... Possibly to add home screen widgets I think....
Motorola BLUR: Motos dock contains a phone soft-button, as well as contacts and app drawer... The only other thing that blur does is chance the dock when swiping to represent what home screen you are on....
EVERYTHING ELSE IS JUST WIDGETS SUCKING UP RESOURCES.
And my last statement is exactly why folks want Vanilla Froyo.. nothing BUT the Android OS. No moto Widgets, No sense..... Just Froyo.. and I will use Launcher Pro always of course!
Hope this helped some of you guys...
i was a dinc to x convert. gave the wife the dinc. loved the dinc. i'm a modder by nature and the dinc has tons of custom roms and other hacks you can do to it which made for consistant enjoyment. i can't wait until some more developments are made with the x so we can do the same kind of stuff to it.
that said, the screen on the x (giant goodness) is really the biggest difference i see. the speed on both is about the same.
the one thing i noticed is that i seem to get better 3g with the x than the dinc (same location) and the dinc gets better wifi than the x. must have something to do with antenna difference i guess.

[Q] Sense on droid x

Is it possible for the new htc sense ui to be ported to the droid x, similar to what has been done with the droid incredible with the desire hd rom port.
I am sure it is possible but demand might be pretty low...

Would it though? I just started playing and setting up my wife's DInc and I was pretty impressed with how HTC integrated everything and how easy it was to access data.
Kinda makes me wish HTC had a 4 inch screen sized phone before the DX came out
I think jago x is right htc sense does a way better job of making android better
That's not to say it is perfect (it does have some bloat) but at least the bloat isn't as bad as the D2 and DX. Motoblur on the DX has a TON of stuff running in the background.
Very true, but i would like all the innovations like the 2 second boot that comes with the desire hd rom port
I would probably use and donate towards well done sense port. I really hope this thread doesn't turn into a "well you should have gotten an incredible" thread, like one over at droidforums did.
The skinning for a lot of the often used features in android is, I think, better than most other UI shells and a lot of the htc apps are really nice with good widgets as well.
It would mainly be really nice though just for the ability to change it up every once in a while, and I'm getting a bit tired of launcherpro.

Droid Pro Launcher?

i didnt know if this would be a good topic to bring up but, The droid pro came out and it the profiles feature for its launcher. I was wondering if there was a way to port that to the Droid X. since they basicly share the same launcher already is there a way to bring the profiles to the X?

Just ordered a Droid X

Have a few questions. I'm transitioning from a Samsung Captivate(Galaxy S) which had a crapload of roms. How does the DX compare? Also, the ringer, is it loud?
i don't do roms but my ringer isn't what i would call loud unless i was somewhere that wasn't noisy. if there is a lot of background noise i have a hard time hearing it.
There are quite a few custom roms out for the dx. Right now we can't run custom kernels, but that is pretty much the only set back.

There are like 8 roms available (well maybe a few more cornball ones that I don't count- I mean come on- flyx was released like 6 months ago and has been abandoned. So I don't count that as a viable rom anymore.)
Rubix
Apex
Fission
Tranquility
GummyJar
Darkslide
ChevyNo1
Jrummy
The first 4 I listed are really popular. Nothing wrong with the others I guess. I have only used Apex and Rubix. Apex is great if you want to keep some of the blur functionality. Rubix is great if you want to go AOSP.
The ringer volume is a joke on the X. If I am anywhere loud I have to hold my phone in my hand so I don't miss calls.

Is there a multi-touch Droid X style keyboard for Gingerbread? Fresh 4.1.x.x?

Like the topic asks, if there a Multi-touch for the new Gingerbrear from Flipz? Fresh 4.1.x.x.
I asked for this before.. I think I'm gonna try and pull it out of the Droid x port
Gimme a couple a days to come up with a new sig that is cool.
Yeah i LOVE that keyboard. I've tried a bunch of other keyboards, non work as good.
Here it is: http://db.tt/SnoI1Wt
I couldn't get it to work but.. someone else could?

My friend that moved from a droid x to a thunderbolt really likes smart keyboard pro.
It has a droid x skin, the keys can be resized, and it has an autocorrect list you can make, like every time you type "wehn" it can replace with "when".
I personally don't think it's as good as the best touch keyboards, mostly because I like more space between the keys for accuracy.
