Can you please share how this was deleted? i.e. via pc trash, via formatting the SD card, etc.
Hi,
I googled "restore deleted data SD Card" and this link seems like a good start. hopefully you haven't added any files to your card.
Best of luck restoring your data

It was formatting the sd card. Yes I know stupid me. I am new to this so thought it was an option to basically clean up the sd card but didn't know that the contents in there are the onboard bonuses,,,lol.
Man hope someone know something.
Anyone else have any ideas?
Return the card to tmo. Tell them you didn't do anything to it, it came out of the box "naked". Try to look innocent while doing this.

someone might upload the original sd cards contents soon, if you can hold out.
Yeah there you go,,,,can anyone please upload the sd files??? Thats exactly what I need and SOLUTIONS?
Anyone please upload?
Sandisk has a recovery utility with their Extreme III cards perhaps you can find it online and recover the data.
If you have not put anything onto the disk it should still there just coded as available on the card so it can be overwritten.
Although if someone can upload it all for you that would be nice. The movie will take some time and bandwidth though.
I dont get mine till tomorrow ;(
I will certainly check this out. But Please anyone can upload files?

Man, the original contents are upwards of 3GB... might be a while till you see them get uploaded. That said, I archived mine before I nuked most of the crap. If I get some time at work tomorrow, I'll try to help a fellow HD2 owner out
Is there anyway to upload that say to rapidshare or megauploads tonight? Man just wish i can really check out this HD2 tonight. I would really appreciate that.

its not a quick thing to upload. thats like 5hours or so, and you just asked not too long ago. i might be able to upload this tomorrow if im not tied up with runs after work
What is the quickest ways for that btw?
i managed to recover the files can anyone help me what goes where? there is a bunch of mp4 files which i think is the movie please help?
can anybody help me where the files go?? I manage to recover it but don't know where do it need to go,,,do I have to create a directory for movies? Anything like that?
I have a ftp server you can upload to, if you have the files. I need em also :-/
like i say I have no problem in doing that. But you don't want the files if they are not complete,,right? (just in case). So once I can put them in the sd card and everything works then BAM now you know it work 100% and I can even guide you too. So help me locate someone who can help me step by step to put them back in the SD card,,,cuz i don't think it will just work if I put it anywhere in the card right?
Anyone Willing to upload the original SD card contents?
I have a fast FTP we can use.... 50meg up and down we can use.... I formated my card and there is no chance for recovery. PM me if anyone is willing to upload.... THANKS!
JEFF
Ok so I applied the dead horse kernel... and I read everything but I decided not to backup my internal SD mainly cuz it's a bunch of bull**** on there but after I flashed and lost my photo album on my main page it became apparent all my photos were gone as well...
Is there anyway to recover this data? I was making a photo album of me and my gf and I had a whole crapload of pics on my internal SD that I really need. If anyone can help me out i'd really appreciate it i'm so bummed out now.

Now who's fault is it for not being careful?
No, I don't think you can get it back if its all gone
Well jee golly wiz me I forgot I made a backup before I flashed Bionix a week ago. Score, all I lost was like 4 photos and my apps. Shweetz
Btw, why does that stupid Kernel delete everything..
And i'm a complete noob, can someone explain to me what a Kernel is, ontop of a ROM?
I flashed the Kernel just because I wanted to see what it does... Seems like the phone runs faster??
Flash or Odin a stock kernel. You might recover it.
sorry, they are all gone, maybe if you had them in the external SD there could've been a chance
Oh and do I have to reapply the voodoo lagfix? I disabled it and deleted it? Now how the hell do I reapply it? Or is it reapplied with this Kernel? Ugh so confusing
Gone...there was (is) a wipe warning in the OP. RCFTL...If there is ever a doubt, there is no doubt.
Damnit! Applied deadhorse kernel and everything is gone!
No reason beating a dead horse...
The fact is most likely everything is lost
If you messed up the voodoo (not sure what you did) then just flash back to stock and go from there. in the future, before you start messing with the phone, make a backup....... then play with the phone

You can try "GetDataBack" for fat but the chances are slim.

Getdataback has saved my in-laws butts many a times. Unfortunatly that particular program fat/ntfs will not understand the rfs file system.
Your best bet is to:
1. DO NOT WRITE ANYTHING THE INTERNAL SD.
2. google some sort of recovery tool to try and get those deleted data back. I personally don't know of any that work with rfs.
3. ???
4. Profit!
Out of curiosity, which file system were you using before?

WTF? Cognitive dissonance?
Lmao. Don't get too attached to things on your phone if you plan on flashing stuff lolololol
Hey all been lurking on the forums for awhile now. I will start by saying yes I am a android noob.
Anyways i've finally decided I'm gonna make the jump and root my phone. Wanting to start with a clean slate I did a factory reset only to find my internal memory still had a bunch of files and that left over from old apps and that.
Essentially just want to know if it is safe to format the internal memory or not. I've tried searching the forums for an answer but only come up with other android devices.
Thanks for your help.
If you're talking about the internal SD then don't do it with the custom recovery. It will mess up your touch screen.
Not sure what you mean with custom recovery. Im looking to unmount and then format the "stock" internal phone storage to basically return my phone to stock.

Yea it's safe. Just use the format tool built into the android settings and you will be fine. I've done it mulitple times. ATT Atrix.
Thanks for the replies. Done and with no problems. I thought it would be fine but just wanted confirmation. Thanks again.
Is there a way to recognize the windows like a memeoria internal 16gb usb stick? Why I accidentally formatted everything and so I wanted to retrieve data
Thanks in advance
The information is gone. When you ran the superwipe script it deleted it completely
No, because it is impossible that in less than a minute to be able to perform a full format of the memory and then a possible recovery is still possible
You were given your answer. Stop spamming. No further answers are needed.
is not true because it is impossible to have formatted 16 GB in less than a minute so there was a full format so the data are potentially recoverable
Just Google file recovery. There's plenty if free and paid software that can do this. I doubt there's one for android but if there is Google is your friend.
Oh wait...you meant tthe internal storage...why did you call it a USB stick. Youvd need a more raw access to the data..which I dont think you'd get with the tfs standard USB protocol (mtp?).
There's brute force methods to do this if indeed your data still exist...but if you don't know about them now...you wouldn't be able to do them even if you did.
Perhaps you can extract the data partition of the tf via nvflash..mount it to your computer and try few recovery on that...but that's a bit of a longshot
Just a tip... key to get good answers is asking your questions properly. Your question was very badly laid out.

Thank you for your very thorough answer, I thought I'd try to make sure to connect the memory of 16 GB of disk drives as a tablet with special software so that I can try data recovery, I am sure that it is possible because the formatting I've done has put too little to be complete then can not be recovered
I know i read something about this at one point, but can't find it now under anything I can think of to search.
I have a 16GB S4, running CM10.2, and in the storage section in settings, it shows that I only have 9.72GB total space instead of the 16GB that should be showing up. I read something a while back that this could be caused by backups from other ROM's still residing in storage, or something similar. I didn't pay much attention to that at the time, because I wasn't having an issue with it, but now that I am, I can't find it again. Is there any way to get access to the other 5-6GB of space without having to wipe everything and do a fresh install? Or should I go back to stock and start over?

Either if you go back to stock or other rom fresh install you still going to have less than 10 gigs. All of that memory is taking up by the partitions of the system. Only way to get more is by playing around with partitions but it hasnt been done now and could be done later in time. So you will never be able to use the other space for now.
