sorry , i'm really apologize
what is it ?
yeah, I have seen it the whole day now, but I will not touch it until I now what it is and what it does
Scary stuff
It's Novosec Smartfilter 1.1, cracked, and it should not be here. Mods, could you take this off?
For anybody interested in testing this software and is unsure of the operator code for their service provider, which is needed to make this work, go to this link where you will find a list of provider codes.
http://www.techbitz.co.uk/mobile/secrets/servicecodes.htm
This is an interesting piece of software, it comes with little information but once it is working it does what it says. I tested it by putting my home number on block, tried ringing my xda from my (blocked) home number and got the response, "it has not been possible to connect your call, please try later", if my answer service was enabled it would have switched over to that. You can have lots of different profiles with diferent numbers blocked or allowed, you can also block unknown numbers, witheld numbers etc.
Its a great post and a great software i suggest keeping it plz. We need such posts...
thanks
Compleet list of Operator codes
If you try it on my phone it activates the the ignor button is that correct?
Looking for the compleet list look here:
http://www.funsms.net/service_provider_code_list.htm
Greatings and keep up the good work 8)
Hey all...
this program looks like just wut I need (some old lady won't stop calling me)
Im in the US...and all i seen on the Service Provider List were PCS....I have Tmobile...is there a way for me to utilize this prog?
ThanX
Hi all,
It's nice s/w ... However there are 2 missing features:
1. How can you add a number not in your contact list ?
2. There is no context menu either in contact list or calls history like"Add to Smart Filter" .... CallerFirewall has this one.
one minor comment ... Magic Button actually close the application instead of only keep it in the back ground. I think the author should have developed it to use system thread instead of normal application thread.
The display of a blocked call as a missed call is great idea ... I thought I won't be informed in any way but found it useful ... at least to apologize later when I 'm reachable
Yeah does anyone have it working on TMobile US?
Actually got mine to work....just put in 1 in country code and left provider blank.

Maik,
You aren't the brightest, obviously. Somebody posted your software to a site that has very targeted very significant traffic... of all people that carry an expensive device and are interested in software enhancements, incidentally the market you are trying to pursue.
Oh so let's see what your PR genuis does... (PR = public relations, an entirely foreign concept to you, no doubt):
So you go on there and post threatening messages. Instead of turning the challenge into an opportunity (ie. implementing better copy protection, releasing a new version, getting user feedback, etc) your minimal amount of cranial content came up with just posting threats. I had looked at your site and entertained the possibility of trying out your product but after reading that abnoxious post I decided otherwise.
I advocate against funding beligerent dimwits who go put threats on a community board that's supported by a bunch of guys at no cost and in their spare time. Again, in case the general tone of my message didn't convey my personal sentiments... I think you are a complete moron.
Good Day.
you tell him wayandrs
The more we speak about it, the more it will be downloaded, any proper feedback on this software - any bugs
I'm very sorry about it, but now I'm realy sure.
The main intention of this board is to tell developers to kick the XDA/MDA platform.
I wonder what NAH6.com will say about hosting

to wayandrs:
You are right. I'm not the brightest. I should be glad that my software is here for free. It doesn't matter if I can't pay my bills. But I have to be glad that you take my work and use it. How can I use this scheme to build a house? Please teach me.
Stohn, believe it or not, it can be a good idea to have a program out that has no restrictions so that a potential user can fully evaluate it and discover its usefulness, if it is found to be useful I know many people that will then buy the full retail version because they can be sure that the software fits the purpose. Crippled and time limited software prevents this evaluation process. I know that some people will never pay for something they can get for free, that is a fact of life but there are also many that will pay because they are thankful that their tasks are made easier by the programmer/author of the software.

Stohn,
I agree with, and respect your right to protect your intellectual property. My own livelihood depends upon it, as I develop web-based applications which are in use by thousands of people. However, the way you have publically handled this scenario is, IMHO, not the best way to have done it. Similar incidences that have occured in the past have taught me that privately contacting the parties concerned meets with positive results.
just take a look at PocketZenPhone to see what we mean by free software http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=6162 - this is free and being developed/ improved daily (even hourly) by the developer (Zendrui) from the feedback the users are providing to him; of which, I am one (very happy one, as well)... I have little doubt that Zendrui will come to a point where he will provide features in a Pro version that we would gladly pay money for.
Perhaps providing a lite version would be a way of collecting useful feedback about your product, which can then be built into a Pro version. This has been done for years, and has likely been done so because it works; for the users and developer alike.
To use a collective term such as Warez, or even hint that we all are interested in this line of illegal activity is very dangerous for you, and opens you up to legal proceedings for slander. Sure, we are hackers, but not crackers, warez junkies or any other descriptive for which your comment was intended.
We meet here because we like the technology, we like to see how it works, what makes it tick, and to see how much further we can utilise the technology that we hold in our hands.
i installed win 8 about 3 months ago . at the first month everything was working great and i was satisfied .

Step 0: Hang your head in shame for feeling entitled to the work of others for free.
Step 1: Buy a copy of your software. It's not only the right thing to do, it's substantially more likely to *work correctly*!
Step 2: Install the legit copy, overwriting (preferably via reformat) the pirated one.
If that doesn't fix your problem, people may be willing to offer more help at that point. However, be aware that XDA-Devs is a DEVELOPER site. It is absolutely not a general-purpose tech support site (people are encouraged to support software they release on here, but that obviously doesn't apply). The fact that you're not entitled to normal tech support channels due to having failed to actually purchase your software does not make you in any way entitled to free tech support from the hacker community!
As a side note, while you may or may not have actually crossed the line in the letter of XDA-Devs rules by posting that link - that's up to the mods to decide - you (in my opinion) violated the spirit of them. Just be forthright and say "I pirated the software" if that's what you did. You may not get much help (of the sort you're presumably hoping for) by doing so, but you're less likely to get reported and/or infracted too... If for some obscure reason your software *is* in fact legitimately licensed even though you downloaded it from a warez site, that's great, but that's quite the opposite of the obvious situation, and you'll have to convince us of that if you want more help (or at least convince me, personally, if you want instructions which amount to more than "pirated software is bad, ok?"). Remember, this is a dev community. While many of us, myself included, publish our work on here for free download and use, that is our decision. Many of us also earn our living via commercial software...

I really understand you . it's just frustrating that you can't buy some stuff that off your budget . also i got a ton of bad reviews and i wanted to try . i totally appreciate your hard work and im really grateful for you guys . any way that i can delete this post ?

also i see a lot of free dl and i apparently thought that's a pirated site .please accept my sorry to you .
ALSO , the forum title is Windows 8 Development and Hacking so i misunderstood it .
Apology accepted. Honestly, I do sincerely hope you find a solution to the problem. For what it's worth, there are trial copies of Win8 available. They're for evaluation only - you have to re-install the full version if you decide you want it - but if you want to try out the OS on your own hardware, that's a better bet. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/evalcenter/jj554510.aspx . Also, at this time, you can get Win8 Pro for $40 USD on http://microsoft.com. That's a limited-time thing - I didn't even expect it to continue into the new year - but if you want to get the OS for cheap, that's the best way I know of.
"Hacking" in the sense of doing cool stuff with software and hardware, not breaking laws. For example, we're working on finding ways around some of the limitations in Win8, or discovering hidden features, or sharing fixes or work-arounds for problems before Microsoft can fix them. The last part may look like tech support, but there are a couple major differences: the discussions are usually of the sort of "I did these things because I wanted to try X, and now Y doesn't work... anybody have any idea how to get it back?", or the request isn't for "my system is broken" so much as it's "I used to be able to do X on previous Windows versions," or "I expect that there's some way to do Y" with a request for help figuring it out... and/or the thread actually starts with people offering a fix that they found, rather than a request.

You should edit your first post to remove the link; the XDA rules are that you cannot post links to pirating sites.
I think its really amazing that a moderator hasn't removed the link by now.And livebeat should really remove it himself else he will get infracted.I have not yet reported the post as I really believe livebeat made an honest mistake but if he doesnt edit his post ill be forced to.
Just one note regarding warez, completely aside from the ethical aspect of it. A pirated OS is one of those things that, if you care even the slightest about the security of your own information, you probably shouldn't be playing with.
That being said, it sounds as though you may have relocated your ProgramData. That is just about a sure fire way to kill the store and modern ui apps.

We just rewrote the guide from scratch, detailing the best method for installing Kodi to the Fire TV. You'll want to follow both parts below:
1) Install Kodi: http://www.tvaddons.ag/install-kodi-amazon-fire-tv/
2) Configure Kodi: http://www.tvaddons.ag/install-addons-kodi/
Enjoy!
This is excellent! Can this be used for the newer 15 version of Kodi?
This is blatant advertising. Excellent.
Someone obviously was looking at his google analytics and discovered a trend. Or got jealous of all those fancy Kindle TV blogs that offer no value add whatsoever (at least your community ...). They just are more easy on the eye = profit.
Though I think you could still up the fontsize of "easiest method" a bit.
Whats xdas policy for a case where this community is exlusively frequented anymore by people who expect picture perfect solutions, ready to go, and for profit 3rd party sources who use this forum to funnel traffic? You know, listicles would be the obvious next step... Keep the traffic on your platform. For the advertisers.
May I suggest to call this "convenience spam" and this thread would be a great starting point for a fully fledged discussion on that matter.

The majority of the images on your "Install Kodi" page are stolen from my guides here and here. Please remove them.
It's practices like this why I refuse to cover your add-on or allow you to advertise on my site. Please stop emailing over and over about it.
To give this the only useful angle that is still possible at this moment - lets look at what is currently happening from an independent standpoint, with the informed public interest as the only held core value.
One of the click farming blogs is now accusing the other click farmer to have stolen images which they captured - willfully providing links to the source articles as well - to not miss out on this attempt on click farming.
The only saving grace you both have in common is, that you were providing picturesque step by step tutorials for the uninformed masses - and were hoping for repeat visits and ad revenue in exchange.
From the point of view of those interests who actually care about how this transition takes place, both of you glom on to the lowest common denominator out of the most selfish reasons possible. Your contribution are not the tutorials, really - it is page rank.
This forum drives some traffic you care to cut in on. You dont care about providing a place where the necessary discussions can take place, all you care about is generating short term popularity within the mass segment of challenged first timers. (The early movers game is happening now.)
You are the reason why XDA now itself is farming its users with listicles (just looked at the section titled "XDA Portal Posts" on the right). You are actively destroying any place where new debates can arise. You do this out of a short term profit motive.
Towards .ag, I hope you have coordinated this with the plugin coders - or I would employ them to seek out new management. Or at least have the discussion, how promoting .ag should work.
Again - I would also like to hear XDAs position on this, because their interests seem to go against both of yours.
Hoping this leads to a real discussion about the issues in the field, Public interests included. Commercializing the most profane information possible - because you know people will drift to what they perceive as the simplest solutions is exploitation no matter how you dress it up.
There are many sources that would like to profit from that at this point. I include reddit, where no sensible discussion can ever take place (because of skewed incentives through overly important popularity contests) as part of this list.
h.
edit: Also - aftvnews should be dependent on add revenue and special access by Amazon Also they use an Amazon brand in their title, so I'm not entirely sure - if the "and _thats_ why we wont allow _you_ to advertise with us" play is entirely truthful. Politics.
My play towards the user is - please get informed enough that you don't need any of the parties who are out there to scoop you up by the hundreds. They mostly care about their own short term revenue and nothing else. Become more than a number to them. Become more than someone who is in need of help - their entire existence - to us.

How did you install it without sideloading? That and SPMC are "not compatible with FireTV".
Its in the amazon app store. You can just search for it on the fire tv. What's nice is that it also generates the application shortcuts in the application list.
**edit nm you're right. You need to sideload kodi first then add this to show in your recent list. Apologies.
pretty informative
Hello everybody,
We are clearly a lot of people asking for a bootloader unlock, more and more people are mourning in threads (me included...) for an unofficial bootloader unlock.
But this takes time and skill, and these aren't cheap.
So, if instead of asking everyday how things are going, if it is already there, etc... we could do something about it, pledge some money, all of us, to make this come true.
We don't have to pay upfront, just add your name and the amount you will pledge (please don't make false statements, it will just make you look like an *$$hole).
If someone finds a way, we will send over the pledged amount as a regard for the hard work and a way to say thank you.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/13i13RN1CJiOJA6AQqpKdBQ6p-aoTdy1lUq0Dm6YAMOg/edit?usp=sharing
Just input your pledge amount (without a dollar sign, comma's or cents it will be added automatically) so that the sum is correctly shown.
I hope that this way we can encourage harder work on this and maybe even some enthusiasts which didn't really think about it but might be interested to invest some time for the reward.
If a "team" is created about this, please make things clear between yourself, so that there isn't a war for the money afterwards...
Hoping this will help make things go forward and also stop the sadness in some threads
Edit : Please give your model number if you only want to pledge for a specific model. If no model number is given, the pledge is valid for any unofficial unlock method working on any LG G4 model.
I will lock modification on given pledges to secure the data regularly (someone could just want to delete everything for selfish fun). If someone wants to modify something after that, please notify me. Modifications made after an unlock exploit is made public or announced won't be accepted for logical causes.
Please use your full XDA Nickname, this way we can ensure that you are willing to help and create some trust in the shown numbers.
Other rules :
Please keep on topic: Only talk about advancements of the unlock situation/bounty or the pledges you make. If you just want to start a flamewar by pointing out your opinion on bounties, you can go to Facebook.
All Pledges over 50$ (included) will have to be also written down in the thread, else, they will be put on hold for the time being.
Only make pledges you are willing to hold and make. Be fair.
Nice idea. My pledge added
Plegde added too

Just input the number of your pledge, the dollar sign is automatic (to get the total), I will correct it from time to time if I see it happen.
The problem is, who should be the middleman ? ^^
There are two ways, either by trust (pledging meaning you will honour it by the amount you gave) or a middleman which we would send the money to and which would reverse it...
I personally believe in people for this kind of stuff to pay for a well done work (and lose their reputation if not). Other opinions ?
I would propose @autoprime or @codeworkx for this if they want to seing their seniorship and already proven help for the community if we have to go down this route.

Could someone give me a list of all existing models ? I am on mobile right now, so not that easy
These are the models I remember right now:
USA models: T-Mobile (H811), AT&T (H810), Verizon (VS986)
European model (H815)
Hong Kong model (H815T)
South American models (H815P)
Australian model (H815K)
Canada Bell H812

And Im in for a tenner
Turkish model 815Tr
It will be easier if everybody gives his own model into the chart I believe, if no model is given, than it would mean the pledge is given for an unlock on any model.
Everybody OK with it ?

Little Info : (allready written in first post) I will regularly make a backup of the file and restrain modification on already pledged amounts and names, so that some joker can't destroy this.

If the user which used "well" could do the same, it would be great This is the way to have a developer confident enough in our pledges.
Just added my $10 for H815P (Brazil) model.
