ewallet. .. its not free. but once u buy it, it'll support whatever device you have now or future.
Keepassdroid. There's a PC version as well. Keep your password file on Dropbox and you'll have a synced version wherever you are.

I'm also using KeePassDroid. It supports KeePass on Windows (or KeePassX on Mac or Linux) and it's easy to synchronize. Also completely free!
Check out AndroXplorer v.3
I'm using AndroXplorer v.3.
KeePassDroid is BOMB! Using it on PC and on my Desire in connection with Dropbox.

+1 for KeePassDroid & Dropbox
Thanks for this information. I am just trying out KeePass (not install version for USB sticks). I installed it in my dropbox folder so that I do not have it on my laptop and it works fine till now (I know you could also just put the db file to dropbox right?).

If so what's the best approach.
My application is this, I might need to occasionaly word documents on our network for quick reference purposes along with minor document editing.

Well you can access your network on wifi with Es file explorer. Ive got a home server that I can copy files over to my phone with and also transfer files back to the server. Now as far as editing I'm not sure which app to use.
Agreed, I use ESFileExplorer for all of my local storage and network storage browsing needs. I am able to browse and open files on my home server so long as I am connected to my own LAN with no problems (if on another network I connect to server via AndFTP).

CIFS Manager is great if you are rooted. Netarchy beta kernels have CIFS support and Cyanogenmod 7 works with the default kernel (unsure about other versions).

Dropbox. Probably my favorite file sharing solution.
dropbox is awesome! would you like a referral email
Try Team Viewer. I can access my work pc from anywhere in the world as long as I have WiFi or 3g. Best of all it's free for personal use.
Don't forget openvpn. Share those files anywhere in the world.
When I am on a windows network I use samba as seen here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=8239139&postcount=128 -- Works quite well. When I am out and about I live/die by dropbox.
Any of these apps support appletalk?
Homepipe will work, and is free on the market.
AndFTP and SSH for SFTP file transfers. All privacy and encryption you'll need.

Very good replies, I will have to start at the top and try them all.
In fact I will start with the first one mentioned now...
I may need to look into vpn as well, but i'll cross that bridge when the times calls for it.
Oh when you guys say something like 'home server' you mean just a pc with a share setup right, aka work group, not a domain. Not an actual network OS like win server 2008 and what not? I will be connecting to both scenarios between home and work.

I'm seeing a few issues with es file explorer
1. file permissions, I can only open word docs in read only.
2. For some file extensions I don't get prompted for what all to open some things, for example when I open a picture the default app for pix seems to be esfile explorer instead of giving me a choice and I need to be able to zoom in on these pix.
I don't see any options for either of these limitations, if I don't find a fix I will just move on to another app I guess.

At school, and home, I have printers setup through my network, but with the iconia I am unable to do that. Is there an app,or program that can be installed so that we are able to wirelessly print. I have been able to use one really cheap printer plugged directly in and print,,but that's no help when I'm at school.
I use my tablet for school work. I use documents to go pro, an awesome app...
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks team.......

Google cloud print works, sort of - but the printer needs to be plugged into a pc running some s/w. HP eprint printers work with cloudprint without a pc....but then you could just email to the eprint address with the HP's.
Printing support in HC is lacking.
I have a program called printershare that works good. Search on the market or appbrain.com
webprintout works
try webprintout at jsoftunlimited com. you can even upload a file and print from that or email the file to print. though only drawback that it requires you run on a pc attached to the printer. have fun!
Try HP iprint or eprint free, worked for me

how to use webprintout to print your photos/pdf/docs from iphone or android
in android, in file manager/explorer or photo gallery, select file or file(s), choose Share, select email, forward it to jsoftunlimited at gmail . com with your print id in the subject line and each of your photo/pdf/doc will print individually.
samething for iphone, in photo gallery you can choose email photos and email it to jsoftunlimited at gmail . com with your printid and it works the same.

This is what I use as well. Great program and have not had one issue yet with it.
I have HTC Desire and X10 Mini. Both of them connected to a single Wifi Router. What I want is to share a Folder or the whole memory card of Desire on net and then allow X10 mini to browse the HTC Desire stuff and copy videos and other files from it.
I already installed Samba Client "Samba File Sharing" that allows me to make the SD card avaiable on Network as a shared folder. But I cant use X10 mini to browse those folders using EST File manager.
Any other Setup apart from the above would also be helpful
Thanks in Advance...
Try SwiFTP FTP Server from the market then access using ES FileExplorer
You could give CifsManager a try.Very good on my network and easy to use

I have Desire on 192.168.2.100 and x10 mini on 192.168.2.101

really guys i am waiting for a detailed answer... Not 1 -2 sentences...
I use File Expert from the market to set up ftp server on phone. I think it could help you...
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
1. Install SwiFTP FTP on desire
2. Fill in user name and password, doesn't need to be complicated unless there is some one on your home network you think will try to access the desire.
3. Set keep in folder to /sdcard
4. Tick keep phone awake for best performance, but keep an eye on the battery
On X10 mini
1. Install ES file explorer. Any other ftp client should do but I'll give steps for what I've used
2. Press menu and select new
3. Enter the ip address of the desire
4. Set port to 2121, unless you changed it in SwiFTP ftp server
5. Enter the user name and password you set
6. Tap OK and you should be good to go

dropbox ?
But if it is for videos, it might take some time to upload.
Whats the best program or app to use to wireless sync large files like movies and what not that is decently fast. i used to use ftp but now i dont know how to get it working. the new filexpert sucks is there another app that is easier? btw im running on osx and kies aint working at all. thanks
You could try folder sync but I think you might need ftp server on your computer. It supports whole bunch of cloud solutions and protocols. Might work for you.
Sent from my GT-P6800 using Tapatalk
do u really need "sync"? if so, foldersync is very nice solution, otherwise, i suggest u use ES file explorer, it can connect LAN, FTP, dropbox/box account easily and copy and paste like normal file explorer operation
I use FolderSync to regularly synchronize half gig and 1 gig video files; it works wonderfully!
One thing I missed about MIUI is the built-in FTP server within the File Explorer.
I have tried a few FTP server apps and so far I don't like any of them.
If you use FTP to transfer files (as opposed to USB cable), which one do you use?
I like AndFTP on the client side, and SwiFTP for serving.
