One problem gets solved, another one waits around the corner
Probably easy, but how do I make the old today screen be default in a ROM?
I've searched the forum but didnt find anything...
Do it with a reg file like this:

Note the last value. If you cook in CHome, then make sure that Items\Default:enabled=0 as well. I don't cook in manila or CHome, but that damn TF3D value keeps getting in there somehow. Also, note that all of the dll's that are called out are located in rom (\windows), and all have been converted to modules. That's the way to cook in a plugin, imo.

I have a vanilla WM without TouchFLO/Manila or any other shell. I just need to hide the 6.5 today screen ("Windows default"). I've actually tried to just disable that plugin with a reg value but it didnt help.
If you have a Vanila rom and it has the titanium cooked inside it isnt a vanila rom cause it is eating you some MB in your storage... so disable the chome and bronze pkgs that way you can get rid of it
BTW there isnt a cab for install chome again

I would prefer if I could choose CHome again, but I'll test to just remove it completely. The kitchen is saying that bronze and chome is needed for the rom to work? Oh well, I'll test. In worst case I have just lost a few minutes of flashing time
I was all over chome when I first started playing with 6.5, but eventually got bored with the panels and tired of sliding my finger around. If you think you'll miss it, just make a cab of it and stick it on your sd card. I made one a while ago (it worked fine), never used, then just deleted it. Like + Que PPC said, it's just the bronze and chome packages. Uncheck them and forget about it. Or, if you cook them in, leave them in, just export the Today reg keys with Today set up the way you like and cook that in as an EXT.
I removed CHome and Bronze and it works perfect! I would still prefer to just disable it with a regkey or something, but I cant get it to work.

it normalize the sound stream value - if you have very loud - make it more silence, from other hand, if you have silence sound make it louder.
Please note, that this twearks made for most WM5 devices, not special for Atom, so maby you don't need them all. :wink:
Audiostream tweak increased battery drain on Atom
Applying the Audiostream tweak on atom really accelerated my battery drain :twisted:
Used to last whole day and remain at 55% with BT music of 3 hrs each day. After applying the tweak below, was left with 25% at the end of the day :evil:

please enlighten me, what is this audiostream for?
adomila, this registry tweak normalizes the sound stream value i.e if u have high volume it reduces it to some level and if u have low volume it increases it to a higher volume. But on Atom Exec it increases battery drain.

this is good info. i was about to start a new thread, about a drain in battery if the equalizer and srs wow is set to on(but the application is not lauched at all). But I was contemplating that if there is no sound being produced or the application is not lauched/open then the battery shouldn't be drained, but now that you mentioned it, I'm not so sure about it anymore. Can anybody shed a light on this? Thanks.

Sorry ilordvader, I don't know the exact details but I think some wave/mp3 files have built in low volumes that can be increased by programs like "Nero Wave Editor". Hope that helps.

Hi All
Am currently using 'poorlyduck Diamond Dialer' which is great but I'm really looking for one which had a 'vibrate' feel as you push each number.
Inesoft do it as part of their address book function but I don't want their large app, I just want the vibrate part.
Any ideas?
yes i do have some ideas...
but it would only be a front for the actual calling application
pressing the buttons would still show the original app...
maybe there is a way around that though but im not 100% sure
Here you go
It will make any dialer vibrate, just install
Thanks...works brilliant
anytime.....
Nice cab, how do you uninstall it though? It's not in the remove programs.
hmm.....
I will see...
EDIT: I don't think you can because it just edits a registry entry but I don't know what that key is And I am not the creator i found this cab by doing a search of this forum
Thanks for the cab but I installed it (on a mobile 6 not 6.1 device), soft reseted but nothing has happened - any ideas !!!
sounds great .. I'll give it a try

Since it's my first time running IGO on this device, and I don't have another device to compare its performance with... I just wanted to make sure that my HD2 is functioning normally.
#1 - When I start driving (from a complete halt), the application updates the velocity gauge and the guidance arrow position only after 5-8 seconds?...
#2 - Let's say I've reached a junction with traffic light, again, I start driving from a complete halt, the guidance arrow is stuck at my previous position (my halt position) for about 5-10 seconds, and only afterwards it registers my actual turn and proceeds with tracking.
Is this a normal behavior of IGO?... I have tried both 8.3.2.97313 & 8.3.4.102680 - it seems that they provide identical results. GPS Configurations - COM4 / Baud - 57600
I hope you guys understand... it's quite hard to explain without some visual demonstration.
Thanks in advance!
Yup, that's about right. I have more or less the same. Doesn't bother me though...

It worked stable w/o OOBE with my 1.61 ROM, but on 1.66 time/operator autodetect work only after second boot, sometimes it won't update time at all. Do you have some special settings?

Big Thanks to Mr. Vandalay and g.lewarne !!
I am trying to make a 'hybrid' build using mostly the sense 2018 test packages. I am including the following:
Code:
"StartIconLoader_TEST"="2_5_20182114_0"
"Manila_Weather_TEST"="2_5_20182114_0"
"Manila_Twitter"="2_5_20161326_0"
"Manila_Stock"="2_5_20161214_0"
"Manila_Settings_TEST"="2_5_20182114_0"
"Manila_Photo_TEST"="2_5_20182114_0"
"Manila_People"="2_5_20161424_0"
"Manila_Music_TEST"="2_5_20182114_0"
"Manila_Message_TEST"="2_5_20182014_0"
"Manila_Mail_TEST"="2_5_20182014_0"
"Manila_Internet"="2_5_20143027_0"
"Manila_Home"="2_5_20161714_0"
"Manila_Footprints"="2_5_20161230_0"
"Manila_DocumentBrowser"="2_5_20143826_0"
"Manila_Core_TEST"="2_5_20182114_0_CFC"
"Manila_Calendar_TEST"="2_5_20182114_0"
I cannot get the Footprints or Twitter tabs to be displayed in sense. I have edited 26948339_manila as follows:

Does anyone know what I am missing to get the footprints and twitter tabs to be displayed? From what I have read, I think I have everything right...but I must be missing something. Thanks.
edit - Both twitter and footprints show up in ManilaFull.xml on my device. I can post the .xml if anyone thinks it would be useful to figure out why they are not being displayed.
Did you make sure to change these reg entries in your core?
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\Manila]
"Manila://footprints.page.hidden"=dword:1
"Manila://twitter.page.hidden"=dword:1
Change the above entries to dword:0 and they should show up

Thanks, that was what I was missing. Always the simple things .
Hi, I have a similar problem, but I have by far less knowledge about these things... I would love to have the docexplorer and reader pages, but it seems I only have them in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\Manila (here they are listed AND enabled 0x0) BUT in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\Manila\Configuration I ONLY HAVE the following "tabs":
0 = Home
1 = People
2 = Messaging
3 = Email
4 = Calendar
5 = Innternet
6 = Weather
7 = Album
8 = Music
9 = Footprints
10 = Settings
11 = Twitter
12 = Inforwidget
Is there a way I could "easily" implement those "missing & desired" pages into my device, even if I have to give up two others? And if so, what do I have to to? Just copy them into the directory (HKLM...)? Where can I get the missing files?
Sorry for bothering..., I´ve been thinking of "changing" my stock HD2 (ROM: 1.64.621.6...; Manila: 2.5.19211619.1; Radio: 2.06.51.07) just to get these two pages. Since I used CHT 1.85.. and now 2.0, I really ONLY miss those two pages..., and beeing able to use Landscape in CHT 2.0
AT the end it was easier and faster for me, just to change to a ROM that included the missing features. I guess I should start to learn how to cook
Manila Question

I think that's caused by not putting the xml for that tab in \Windows\ManilaXml. Make sure you have app.dat or initflashfiles.txt (depending on kitchen used) in your EXT / OEM. You could also add the line(s) to initflashfiles.dat if you want. If you're using/dumping ROMs with OSKitchen by airxtreme, it will automatically add the app.dat to the manila EXT. Sample app.dat/initflashfiles.txt for people tab below:
Code:
Directory("\Windows\ManilaXml"):-File("People_Pages.xml","\Windows\People_Pages.xml")
To fix without cooking, just copy People_Pages.xml from \windows to \windows\manilaxml. You may need to delete \widnows\manilafull.xml (it will be re-built the next time sense launches).
