Titanium backup - Droid Incredible General

For some wierd teason I am unable to use titanium on stock rom. It asks for su permissions but then said it does not have root. Don't have this problem on non-stock roms. Anybody else having this problem?

I'll ask three possibly stupid questions, but hear me out:
- You're running it on a rooted DI, right?
- Did you grant it superuser privileges?
- Did you download the latest busybox in Titanium?

How to on back Busybox on Froyo... need advise.

Hi, need advise on how to on back Busybox on Froyo?
I try Paul pre-rooted Froyo and also the Cyanogen one but I still facing problem mention that Busybox is not install when I opening up the MetaMorph Pro.
Anyway to solved this issue?
I can't use the MetaMorph as it keep prompting me I don't have Busybox install.
Apprieciate all help, thanks.
I thought Metamorph needs to get updated for Froyo? That's what I've been reading on here.
Anyway, I would've suggested what you already tried but you could also try Titaiunm Backup which lets you download Busybox.

After using Modaco Paul's 2.2 update, I still had root but no BusyBox, so I wasn't able to run Titanium Backup. I flashed Cyanogen's "Quick Rooter" here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=686627
After that, I was able to launch Titanium Backup just fine.
You said you've already done this, so I'm not sure what could be the problem.
A) Did you use the "Stock kernel" or the "Tweaked kernel"?
B) Can you run Titanium Backup successfully? If so, it could be an issue with Metamorph.
@Paul22000:
You could have just hit the problems button in Titanium and it would dl Busybox for you. That's how I fix it earlier when I was running Froyo.
@Andrew:
What's been reported is that the old Metamorph (with thm file) works but not the new one.

I never try the titanium yet, I try the stock kernel, shall I try the tweaked one as I don't want pershoot .34 kernel yet due to unmount issue and video camera issue.
Actually I not ready need the metamorph, I just need a semi transparent status bar with clock and date white font which work on Froyo. (I don't might need flash via RA-Recovery as long as it working)

Titanium Backup Cant Find Root

I have an htc incredible with 2.2 froyo installed.
version 2.2
kernel 2.6.32.15
baseband 2.15.00.07.28
and s-off
When I startup titanium backup the app says that it can not find root.
it is allowed in superuser, and super user starts up fine as well as some other root only apps.
Help?
Probably saying something about installing busybox, too. Right?

Firstly sorry for asking dumb questions, I didn't see the problems button at first.
Secondly what does busy box do. Doesn't super user already give it all the permissions it needs?

Idk but just open busybox, first time it always fails for me. Just click install again then titanium will work.

busybox is like DOS/*nix/etc prompt, only that it processes commands in the background. Even you have a working copy of Busybox installed, it's a good idea to hit said button and download a specific version of Busybox for TB (don't worry, it doesn't overwrite any existing copy of busybox).

root or unroot - get confused

hi all. i just update my firmware to P1000XXJMC, i root my device with SuperOnceClick. everything was fine, but when I try to install Titanium Backup, fail when testing root access. Same problem is happened in Android Commander...Any Ideea? Other application such as Market Enabler, busybox, works without problem...take a look at the screenshots!
Are you sure Busybox is installed correcly? I usually allow Titanium to install it's own Busybox and then install Busybox separately anyway.
Regards,
Dave

Since last JMA Updates, i experience those problems with titanium after, too.
But, as on post before explained, i get rid of this by let Titanium install theire one version of busybox ...
Anyway, i would suggest to re-root again .....

Thanks for the hint. That was the problem. I installed BusyBox from market, and is working like a charm but only Titanium Backup. unfortunately the Android Commander still same....is there a issue of program it self? I mean, there is not support for Galaxy Tab????

Problem Installing xRecovery

I ended up with a LOVELY refurbished POS as a replacement for my origional X10a through AT&T (trust me, I'm THRILLED about a refurbished piece of crap, haven't had good luck with these things) And I've got it flashed over to 2.1 update 1 with the baseband of 2.1.54, Kernel Version 2.6.29, and xRecovery will not install. IT loads just fine, gets SU access, and then the three little hourglasses come up with the No Smoking sign LOL! So, what's the issue?? Is xRecovery not compatable with the baseband?
Any ideas...?
What version of Busybox are you running? What method did you use to root your phone?
I know that some root methods (like SuperOneClick) install Busybox during the root process and the version they install is not compatible with xRecovery. You have to use the version from the Market for xRecovery to install.
By the way, this has been discussed many times already before in the xRecovery thread.
Its The Most current Busybox installed through Titanium Backup - and I'm sure it has been discussed...Lack of finding the specific issue lead to this post
Its Rooted with the super one click, But I believe that the busybox from Titanium is the most current...

Try installing busybox from the busybox app from the market.

It says in the first post of the thread it HAS to be the version from the Market. It says nothing about it needing to be the most recent version.
A similar issue was brought up on one of the last pages in that thread (it even had a picture of the 'no smoking' signs, as you put it, on the three files) and it came down to the version of Busybox the person had installed.
Though as subhankar suggested, you could try the manual installation route and see how that works for you too.
Anyway, I hope you get this resolved.
View the xrecovery apk in root explorer then copy the 3 files in Res/raw to the system/bin on your phone. The auto install from the app has never worked for me.

The SuperUser app itself doesn't do all that much, it shows you what apps have superuser access. Until you download an app that requires root, and allow root for that app - your SuperUser app will remain a blank list. Once you do allow root for a few apps, you can go back to SU and see the list of apps w/ root access.
It sounds like you want to know of some good apps that require su access.?
