Just pull /data/misc/wifi/wpa_supplicant.conf before wiping and push it after flashing the new ROM.

You need to have a rooted phone to do this. It should be there.

Use a Backup app like Titanium Backup. You can restore all system settings (including wifi APs + passwords) and apps+data.

It's OK ^_^
Do you want to backup the data partition (which contains all user apps and data), then you can use recovery. But I'd recommend Titanium Backup for application and data within the Android OS.
EDIT: You'll need to install Titanium Backup again and have the backup data available to restore. If you decide to wipe data.

Press MENU and then select Batch. Then on the Backup sub-heading select the third one (which is 'Backup all user apps + system data). You'll then see all the apps are selected, so press 'Run batch operation'. Wait for a moment and then you're backed up.
If you want to restore, choose the one you want from the Restore sub-heading. If you want all your apps on a clean ROM, select 'Restore missing apps with data'

sorry bro for the long time for me to response from your message.
i have no pc or laptop to use here
anyway, it seems that i'd just wondering that when I'm here in our house, i could definitely download apps from the market, but considering the speed of our wifi connection is barely slow
but when i am in our school, wifi speed is okay but i can't download apps from the market.
is it in the wifi connection? or in the handset itself????
The school probably blocked such actions to be done.
Go to Settings/Apps/Manage Apps/ then press Menu then press Filters and press all then press market then press Clear Cache then press Uninstall Updates then your done
;D

It says that there is access to Wifi but Android apps can't be install from the Android Market. I presume that there is still access to an internet connection therefore having access to other websites.
sometimes my market gets stuck as well. i just reboot the phone and everything works great

[Q] TB not restoring app data after new ROM

I recently switched my sm900w8 to the xnote rom and executed the TB app and data zip file, all my apps are on my phone but their data seems not to be added. I switched to this rom before and it did this weird thing where all apps were quitting and then suddenly its fine, but this time I do it, there is no app data. I just ran the app that runs a script to fix the TB restore problem but its still not working. What can I do?

I tried that and it did not work. I wiped my device again and flashed the update.zip file again and the same thing happened, apps slowly started to be added to the phone and no data was added.

I am sure that i used the backup user apps and system data. I have no clue why it's not working l and some of the apps that were backed up did not get installed on the phone. I suspect that it never used the backup. Maybe there was nothing in the update.zip.

Try transferring your backup.zip tu pc or use es file manager and lets check if it has your apps with the data or not.

I have been doing some research in what the update.zip file is and what I think it is is a file for installing titanium backup on a phone, not for getting your data back. This means that I have lost all of my data.

[Q] Revert back to stock?

I have been rooted for a while, and have always had a custom ROM but I wanna try going stock using xposed. How would I flash the stock image? Do I just treat it exactly like a new ROM? Or do I have to do something special or different? I normally use Titanium, but I will make both a titanium backup and a nandroid backup if I do this. Thank you for any help.

So, make a titanium backup of system and data, copy that file on to my PC, and then once I am at stock, download titanium, put it in whatever folder it was in, and i'm good?

Why did you change your MAC address? How can you know you didn't duplicate someone else's?
Copy important stuff over to extSDCard. Good backup policy as well... Then factory reset. Or reflash your ROM.
DL and flash SuperSU from chainfire's site.

If you do a backup to internal you should then be able to connect to your PC and copy the backup across.
I'd recommend getting an SD Card and using it though - they're very cheap - you could get a 16GB one in Australia for about $10 and we're expensive for tech.

Clean install doesn't mean that your phone will be completely wiped out....only the system partition (including the ROM, apps, data etc.) will be affected...so photos, videos, docs etc. will stay untouched.

You mean flashing. Clean means clean ^^
And **** happens on tw, better to back up in case.
But seriously if you can't connect your phone to a pc you shouldn't touch anything at all at this time, but keep Googling and reading.

Full backup phone

Hey! I was asking if you guys know a good way to fully backup a phone (like cloning it).
I would try some ROM like PA and some other but I also want to be able to good back to the state I'm right now (fully configured, with all apps I need, and when restoring this backup I would like to have exact same app data, configuration, account, everything in fact).
I don't even know if it's possible x)
In all case, thanks for your answer
https://www.technipages.com/how-to-backup-your-entire-android-device
You shouldn't need to install ADB tools though, they come included on the additional partition OnePlus adds with drivers, just copy those files over to your PC
Adb already installed
Thanks for it mate. I'll do this tonight and cross my finger hoping it would work as I think
TWRP. If you are installing ROMs TWRP would already be there and all you would have to do is create a backup.

App data IS backed up by TWRP but anything you see in internal storage is NOT backed up by TWRP.
The way I do it is:
Titanium Backup for all user apps
An app called pairs for Bluetooth and WiFi backup and restore
Create a Nova backup for my home screen setup
Transfer any media (such as photos and music) to my PC
And then I go about flashing a new ROM/clean flashing my current ROM.
I do end up having to go through my ROM settings over again, as well as setting up system apps again, but it's not a huge deal to me.
This feels like the "cleanest" way to backup and restore, so it's a small price to pay! (For me at least lol)
Can you confirm that even chrome app data is being saved and restored? Eg: cookies
Thanks!
