Does anyone know of a way to receive the BBC Radio 1 stream on the Magician
use Pocket Media Player 10 or Real player.. and enter the URL..that's it
I have tried that, hence the reason for posing the question.
You never stated that you had tried either of those options.
You haven't even stated what the problem is, error messages etc...
Ok good point PDA,
The problem is that I cant get Real player 1.0 or 1.1 to work with the bbc's stream of radio1, i have tried the website links but that just wont take me to the player and I have tried the r1live.ram & r1livev7.ram files with the player but it just says the connection faild and gives me a message about not being able to connect to server.
dan
Do any other streams work?
Are you using T-Mobile for your internet connection? If so, open the .ram file with a text editor. Replace :554 with :7070 and it will work. T-Mobile blocks port 554 but not 7070. I'm using the so called 1.1 preview version (although it's been a preview for about 3 years.)
If you're using a NAT firewall, some of the older routers won't pass the UDP protocol correctly and that will also block the stream.
The BBC page will give you the option of listening in an external player. If that option is selected, Pocket Internet Explorer will download the ram file and open the Real Player. Save the ram file as in the future you can just click on the file and the BBC will start streaming.
I am able to use the Virgin Radio Stream, but not the bbc, I have an orange M500, but I do not intend to use it via GPRS, too expensive, I have so far only tried using the internet connection via active-sync, but my PC has no problem streaming it, I have just bought a wireless card, so will be testing that asap.

login probs
I tried registering and left the email field blank cause I don't like to get spam. it accepted my registration but now I can't login with the password I picked because I never got the confirmation email for obvious reasons.
www.yamgo.tv works in my Opera brower although the movies are jerky. This site plays movies directly in the browser.
The site www.yamgo.movi does not work for me. I have been tying for the last two days. When I press a movie link it takes me to the windows media player tries to connect for a few seconds and then media player gives the mesage that the server is not responding. Anyone so far actually been able to stream movies to their media player??
Regards

The url should be yamgo.mobi, not .movi.
Hi,
I live in Turkey and unfortunatelly youtube is banned by the government. (and yes it is a shame for us) We can only enter youtube by changing dns settings or by using some certain sites such as ktunnel.com. Therefore, i am not able to enter youtube through youtube application on my hd. Is there any way to do that? I mean may be if i change some settings, i will be able to use youtube app. Any luck?
Thanks.

What I did when I was on vacation in China (where youtube is also blocked), was to use a VPN on my computer that connected to my workplace back here in Canada and connected my HD using ad-hoc wifi. You could also use activesync.
But these options all require the use of a host computer.
If you are using your carrier's data connection, perhaps the only way is to use some anonymous proxy like youhide.com to access m.youtube.com in Opera or IE and manually download the videos to view in TCPMP/Coreplayer.
Ideally, it would be best if you could connect to a foreign VPN directly through your HD. I'm not sure if there's any apps.. but this guy seems to have it going on WM5:

Anyways, good luck and hope that helps!
i solved the problem thank you very much!!
How did you solve the problem? Share it pls...
I debranded my x10 yesterday and am now running on:-
baseband 1.0.16
build R1FA016
However since then ive not been able to stream any videos. I used to be able to stream from Yamgo, Tvcatchup and MyPlayer (BBC Iplayer app). But now they all say video cannot be played. MyPlayer comes up with a message
"unable to access media stream. PLease check you have an active internet connection and that your firewall/service provider is not blocking port 554"
The youtube app works fine though. I can surf internet sites fine, ive double checked all the settings from my provider, (T-Mobile UK), but it still wont stream like it used to.
Anyone have any ideas?

There isn't a RadioTime app for windows mobile. You can use WunderRadio which is a partner of RadioTime, or http://radiotime.com/mobile/ which is a very condensed WAP site.
why in my previus tilt 2 I could listen a radio that is in radiotime ? maybe my new tilt 2 need some update? thanks
Are you attempting to use the mobile site?
yes , the mobile site doesn't work - I think the MMS url that I want to listen is not compatible with WM.
MMS was phased out of WM a while back. You could still, in theory, access a MMS streaming service if it had a dedicated URL instead of an IP and port number.
