how to activate WIFI programatically
i just made a tool to activate wifi programatically:
WiFiActivator for QTek 9090 (HTC Blue Angel/MDA3/XDA/etc.)
You can turn on/off Wireless via Programm and via Commandline.
This tool only works with tiacxwln Wireless Ethernet Driver.
It was tested with QTEK9090.
More Wifi-settings can be made inside the registry.
Hi All,
I use my vario and prophet on wifi at work and home. In some parts of my house when the signal from my Router is weak, it will automatically keep trying to connect to my neighbours Router.
Is there any way to disable this auto search so that my device only connects to my router and no other ones?
Hello,
I'd like to switch the WLAN adapter on and off with my software so that it doesn't consume power while the WLAN is not needed. When I reactivate the WLAN, the software should automatically log in to one specific network.
I'm currently using the OpenNETCF library, but this allows only to switch the WLAN adapter on an off and when it's switched off, even the wireless manager can't activate it until the device is reset.
Can anyone help?
Regards
Thomas
Are you after device specific or device agnostic code?
What device and OS?

Hello,
First: Sorry for my bad english, i am not so good in it but i'm doing my best.
I've got the T-Mobile MDA Touch. I use 24/7 bluetooth, wifi and gprs for my work. Bluetooth for some bluetooth devices, wifi for my mail if i'm @ work and grps for my mail if i'm not at work.
For just checking the mail it's not needed to use wifi and gprs non-stop. I've found a program for auto-connect gprs if needed (when checking mail outside the work place). I've search at the internet (google etc.) but i can't find a program to automate wifi connections, so when i need a lan or wlan, that the connection automaticly will established.
Does anybody here know a program to automate the wifi connection, because my battery will get low in one day, and that's very quick.
Thanks.
Regards,
Jeroen

And if possible, the same thing for Bluetooth, but i guess that's not possible.
Hi,
Is it possible to switch the Wifi on my TD2 from G to B? It gives me a more stable connection in certain situations.
And if it is possible, can it somehow be done via the CommManager (like the 3G switch for the data connection)?
AFAIK you can only set your WiFi-Router to a special mode (g|b|g+b).
