I saw on internet there is Chinese Apad "iPad like" with android. it comes with Android 1.5 - 1.6.
My question is
" Is it possible to port FROYO 2.2 in it?"
Its for business not personal.. If yes how can i port the ROM to upgrade it to 2.2 ..
Its for Flash , UI and all FROYO goodies
Sells better.
Im no developer but im guessing ,yes
The htc hero hasn't got past 1.5yet but there are still some 2.2 roms out there albiet not very stable but they should get better
Also could you post a link to one of these sounds intresting

Hello Everyone,
As you guys may have heard that the magic will be able to update to the sense ui. Do you guys think it can be ported to the dream? The official update only. Or can we just install it even though its for the magic? Please let me know.
Thank You
Its already out there man... look at the roms in the development section.
However... if you think an official release of it from HTC is going to make it run smoother on the Dream then nah. Dream just doesnt have the hardware.

an official update will make it run smoother because they have access to parts of the code that the developers here do not due to them being .odexed(allong with other things) so they could go even further with the optimisations. Although there would probably be some limitations due to hardware they could make a verson designed to run on the dream (which they probably would have if it wasnt google branded)
I wouldnt be mad if they DIDNT have an update to use the SENSE UI on the DREAM....i mean like the other guy said...its already available on here...just because main media and blogs say we wont get it doesnt mean a Dev isnt/hasnt already ported it.....i like the Sense UI at first but than I decided I like the regular Android Look alot better...
I'm sure this so obvious it's staring me in the face and I've just been on these awesome forums too much in the last 72 hours to see straight (trying out every known ROM on my newly rooted HTC Magic ^_^)
But is there a Sense UI with Android 1.6? The "Rom Bible" thread doesn't include any roms for it.
Sorry if this is obvious :S
nope there is currently no sense UI 1.6 Rom
Excellent, I'm not crazy.
Sucks, there's no 1.6 Sense ROM.
Oh well, thanks for the info!
There were some rumors that some of the Android devices of HTC will not receive the newest update to Android Froyo 2.2. While this is partially true, we’re happy to say that HTC Magic is not included in that “black list”.
As announced by the second largest French mobile operator SFR, the device will receive the desired Froyo soon. Some believe that this will take place even in this month. T-Mobile has also plans to update myTouch 3 G which is basically the same device to Froyo by the end of this year.
Let’s say that the device looks to handle the novelties quite well, considering the fact “of not being that new”. Good job!

Code:

so correct me if im wrong... but if the htc magic gets official android 2.2 does that mean the amazing developers here are going to have a field day with it and make it even better and more customizable than the actual creators of it?
I sure hope so would love to have a nice custom rom with 2.2 that works and with tons of bonus stuff pre installed.
Maybe you haven't noticed, but the amazing developers here are having a field day since the froyo source was dropped in to AOSP a few days ago. CM6 should be just around the corner.
i know they are already playing with it, but with a copy from the actually phone i imagine it would be easier to mod and play with since they dont have to port and do all kinds of ridicules things to get it to work on another phone.

Remember that the 32B Magic is the ION/ADP2, everything you need to get a fully working ROM is supplied in the AOSP. What you're suggesting is probably more relevant to devices like the Hero. At any rate, we'll probably see CM6 or some other froyo ROM before a shipped one.
ok well you seem to know more than i do so i hope a 2.2 near perfect rom comes out soom. im so excited lol
Yeah me too, Cyan's feed is the only reason I'm checking twitter atm, really looking forward to speed increases
Hi bros,
I really appreciate your work here. May anyone know when the Offical HTC Desire Froyo 2.2 ROM available?
Nexus One's Rom is good but no FM radio supported. Personally, I like HTC Sense more.
Really be? Expectations for the coming of God!
If I no mistake this is the build you looking for .... enjoy it
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=747492
a nice search would of got you froyostone
here darkstone is the god first search on his post
+1 on that
Dear,
I tried the Froyostone already. Screen freeze is serious vs. Nexus One 2.2 Rom. I guess Froyostone is not the official release version.
So you're looking for an official (HTC sourced) Desire Sense build that will work on HD2...
Let me laugh a bit....
---edit---
The freezes have nothing to do with the build not being "official"
Since there's no "official" android kernel for the Leo, we have to make do with the half-hack kernel jobs that we currently have. Problem is, they come with the problems you mentioned.
Best you can do is wait for the kernels to get a little bit better.
Oh, and there's no "official" Android build for HD2 either. Both the stock Android builds, the Sense builds, and all other questinably-themed hack-jobs are PORTED to the Leo since there's not (and never will be) an "official" Android release for Leo.

Epic post is epic!
Finally some sense coming from somebody in regards to people 'complaining' about things not working without understanding we should be happy for as much as we can have Andorid running on our beloved HD2 phones!
Ok so here goes i'm thinking of working on a NAND ROM based on 2.3.1 (Gingerbread) Build: GRH78 FOR THE HTC HD2...but guess what...... i'm gonna try and throw HTC SENSE into the mix and see if i can get them to play nicely together....since this could take some time i just wanted to know if anyone is interested at all???? Just Post and ask if your interested......this ROM is going to based off ofMDJ's CyanogenMod 7 v. 2.3 with MDJ's Kernel: MDJ S10.3 OC (or whatever new Kernal MDJ releases between now and when i get this rom complete) and the Desire HD Sense including the Sense Camera...(THESE ARE MY GOALS FOR THIS ROM)I Will Be Posting Frequently Since I Will Need Testers to find all the little bugs that i miss....
( I WILL ONLY POST ROMS THAT I THINK ARE SAFE...BUT THERE IS THE CHANCE THAT IT STILL CAN BE BRICKED SO BY FLASHING MY ROM YOU KNOW THAT YOUR VOIDING YOUR WARRANTY AND I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU BRICK YOUR DEVICE )
EDIT: Im Gonna Try My Hardest to have a Version posted so everyone can play with it by 01/15/2011 - 01/16/2011....
EDIT: I just sent a message to cortulla....mainly if he has any tips or tricks that might help out with this build....01/14/2011
EDIT: Ok I'm sorry for not posting for so long i haven't forgot about you guys...i'm still working on this rom..its harder than anticipated...plus having the free time to do it gets tricky...work is having mandatory overtime since the iphone is being released on verizon...(SCARED MUCH AT&T????)..SO JUST WANTED TO UPDATE AND SAY I DIDN'T DITCH THIS PROJECT.......02/03/2011
Thanks Everyone and remember we couldn't do any of this if it wasn't for Google, Cyanogen, Cotulla & (DFT), MDJ, Markinus, gauner1986, danij3l, gpc, LeTama, Rajko and others...and if i forgot to mention you im sorry just yell at me and i'll be sure to add you to the list =-)....

i am interested..
that would be great if gingerbread will have sense
ive loved to run it on my hd2
Count me in as beta tester...

That is so funny, I have been searching yesterday for something like this .
Count me in.
WTH, why not
We are always looking for something new to put in our phones
Good luck and count me in...
Santroph
Also very interested...
And I'd like to be a beta tester.
Totally interested in this. Gingerbread has come along a great length in the last copuple of days. Latest stock release dated the 14th shows working lights and usb! Would be awsome to have sense built on top!
Please work on it man
Good luck. It's almost impossible; most of sense is dependant on the HTC framework and most libraries, which are in turn interdependent with the android version they run on (2.2). You pretty much have to replace the whole build with 2.2, which, in effect, makes the build a 2.2.
It would be easier to add to 2.2 the keyboard and animations from Gingerbread, along with the launcher. It's close, but it's not really 2.3 either.
Good luck anyway.
for me it's enough to have the desire hd cam on gingerbread. will it ever be possible to provide only the hd cam tool?

+1.
It's hardly possible to get sense rosie.apk (the launcher) working on stock android... (afaik nobody has done it to date)
plus I bet its impossible to do it on a different android version.
Yet I would be interested.

Why?
Use Camera 360 or a similar app. They do the same (may look worse but who cares?)
(maybe no facial recognition - yet do you really need that?)
it seems to me that Gingerbread mostly enhanced aosp anyways, it tweaked the UI and didn't really have that many enhancements.
If you could just port the Gingerbread keyboard, icon set, Nexus S LWPs, and the screen-off animation to a Sense build then you basically have it.
(may look worse but who cares?)

yep, and that's exactly what i want: a good looking camera app. technically i'm satisfied with the gingerbread cam, but it looks awful in compare to hd cam app...
I'm dreaming of it !!!
Bring it on!
I'd love to give sense a try on Gingerbread!
2.2 Sense ?
Sense HD would be cool but I imagine more work
I'll look forward to it !
+1 Beta Tester
sure man it will be revolutionary start .... good luck ...
Absolutely impossible. You need a HTC leaked ruu I tell you that. Unless you are a fremework wiz. If you are, 10-90 chance. Good luck. You may make history with it.

"if" you're able to pull it off, I sure will try it out
