that's not what I meant. align the screen on my PDA is not working properly. so now I just use the keypad on my iPAQ. screen align process always fails. therefore I use remote applications align screen. and what I need now is the correct calibration data from the iPAQ 612 that are still functioning normally. calibration data in the form of the composition of the coordinates that are stored in a *. dat fil

Hello
i've got en elf but it is stuck at the align screen.
i searched the forum for many day's and i found out that the digitizer probably is broken.
So i bought an new one an installed it with this manual
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=407323
great manual by the way
I also installed a new housing
I installed one of the new roms
But it is still stuck on the align screen$
I have a constant loop
first middle cross, then the 4 corners and then back to the middle
i installed a program to override the align screen and then the i can use the phone but when i tap the touch screen it is not the place i tapped that opens because it is not aligned
What can i do because i am all out of answers
ps there is no warrenty anymore
Greetz Hatchy
it could be the touchscreen
LCD and touchscreen are not the same
some models heve them separated, some not
as i could see elf has
touchscreen pic1
LCD pic2
so try replacing the touchscreen they are few dollars on ebay
Or if you want, you can have somebody cook a ROM for you that bypasses the screen alignment part.

When your PPC is at the alignment part of the start up process simply plug it into your computer and let activesync run. You do not need to set up a partnership at this time to do this.
Explore your PPC and go to the windows folder and then to the startup folder and delete the welcome file in there.
Soft reset your PPC and you are good to go!
I had an IPAQ for years that had a bad spot in the middle of the screen and this is the only way I have found to bypass the alignment.
I am stuck on the align screen in a loop as well. What program did you write to skip the screen. I am not able to use the phone because of that. I am really terribly stuck. Please help. Thanks.
I hear placing a blank text file named "welcome" with the extension ".not" on the root of your SD card after hard resetting will bypass the Windows Mobile setup. And until you get your screen repaired (if ever) and if you have a working DPAD, then you can download a free, configurable mouse cursor here. Just go the the third post and click on the attachment I posted.

Well,
For what it's worth,
I found out on my brother's Qtek S200 that was also in a loop, that it automatically passed the align screen after some 15 times.
Later I found this in the registry:
HKLM\Hardware\Devicemap\Touch\MaxCallError(=16)
So I assume you can tick the align screen 16 times before it continues?
it works!!
Hi boyz!
I have a problem friends. My Trinity is broken by the surface of the touch, but it display the screen itself is not reached. The problem is that: I have performed a Hard reset and I'm stuck at the calibration of the screen as it is broken! Please if there is a way to pass the stage of calibration, please tell me because i'm lost! Thank you in advance
Try msp remote alignment
With this program you can preform or bypass the alignment from your pc

hello wavemaster,i suggest to get your touch screen replaced asap & calibrate your screen when it's been replaced, because i'm sure it'll be impossible 4u still to calibrate it.and even if you passed the calibration, you will find it hard to use your device because the touch has lost its precision,it'll be same as useless.believe me coz i've been there.ΓΌ

What happened? Did you flash a new rom to your phone? Did you drop it? Did it get any water damage? It sounds like something is wrong (mechanically / electronically)
I DID FLASH MY blackstone to 1.56 just change from german to french
the phone stucks on align
i cant align the screen , impossible to make a hard reset and all the RemoteCalibration doesnt support the blac100
the tric welcome.not doesnt work also
it works well in german now i cant flash it because invalid vendor id
radio 1.13.25.24
G52.62.25.34U
D.1.56.00.00
BLAC100 32 M
SPL-1.54.0000
ANY IDEA HOW TO FIX???
HOW TO EDIT THE REGISTRY VIA EXPLORE THE PHONE VIA ACTIVESYNCRO???
Hi manouba,
please try the following, if possible:
(1) Connect your Phone to your PC using Activesync (it works even when you are stuck at alignment screen).
(2) Download this Remote Screen Alignment program.
(3) Install and run this program from your PC.
(4) Choose SKIP to avoid the Align Screen Wizard. This program has a few features that you might want to use in the future.
(5) Restart the phone and you are done.
Let me know if this works or not.
Note: Incase your screen is badly aligned (if touch screen works); you can start the alignment wizard from settings and do few taps. You will not come out of the loop, so press any key like screen off button, Windows or restart the phone.
Best Regards.
Try using mobile registry editor: http://handheld.softpedia.com/get/Desktop-and-Shell/Windows/Mobile-Registry-Editor-10636.shtml

Yeah - you calibrate it with your fingers. What's not to understand? Hold the phone as if you are about to type on the on-screen keyboard, and calibrate it using your thumbs, so it's as natural as possible.
ok with calibration procedure .
but this calibration screen never goes away ......
have to soft reset device ......

For some reason it does seem to fail sometimes. Just do it again. I've had to do it a few times before now, but it does work when you get "it" right (whatever "it" is!)
Dont press the screen too much, touch it as lightly as possible...
Thanks !
at last screen calibration worked .................
delete this post plz... already solved! sry
