Screen doesn't turn off alone - Nexus One General

Ok I have Enom 1.8.1 + latest NExtheme + IntersecRaven Kernel.
My N1 screen's time out is set to 30sec but the screen only turn half dark after 30sec and doesn't shut off unless I press the power button.
Is it a problem of kernel or Nextheme?

Not a kernel problem. Running the same kernel as you posted (but on CM 5.0.6), just checked - after 30 seconds the phone was off.

Nobody has the same problem?

Screen timeout problem

I have a HTC Magic from Orange (PL), unmodified, without root access, Android 1.5 out-of-box. Recently, I've noticed annoying issue on my phone. If I don't press "end call" red button to turn screen off, it will be on forever - the phone is on the desk for 15 minutes, I'm not touching it, and the backlight is still on, with my Android desktop (not lock-screen) on the screen. It's look like there is no timeout to turning backlight and screen off, although this was working some time ago. I've tried to change settings like timeout value in minutes, WiFi sleep mode etc. but without success. It is so annoying that I have to remember now to press red button after using a phone. Anyone can help me?
P.S.: I don't have aFile or Dark Keys installed.

[Q] Nexus build black screen freeze

i am currently using a nexon one build called NexusHD2-FRG83 V1.5 PPP + RMNET
it works perfectly expect for one thing
the screen shuts off on itsz on and when it does the screen wont come back on
the led lights from my HD2 just stay on when i press them and no picture it is really annoying to have to take out my battery everytime this happens
some help plz
make sure under screen brightness for both WM and android it is not on AUTO. Set it to your liking. and change the screen timeout to 30 mins.
does the screen have to be on or can we turn off the screen to save battery? i notice if i turn the screen off after a few min it wont turn back on.

capacitive backlight button timeout?

I have the SuperClean3 V0.5 rom, with KGB Kernel [updated 12/12], and my capacitive buttons stay on for infinity when my screen is on. Very annoying for nighttime usage.
I discovered I can turn off the light by echoing '0' to some file in /sys/class/, but it only switches it off, If I touch the buttons after that, they turn on again.
The KGB Kernel includes "neldar's BLN v9" so anyone have any idea how I can set the timeout to maybe a few seconds? JT's vanilla GB rom has that built into spare parts, and I'd rather not reflash another rom...

[Solved] Can't turn on screen after kernel flash

Hi all.
Got a tweaked XXLB1 rom on my Note. Can't remember which kernel that came with it.
Tried out different kernels, but no matter which I try I have gotten this new problem.
Everything boots great. Rom starts. But as soon as I turn of the screen (click the power button) I can't turn it on again. Well, it turns on "underneath" i could take a screenshots with power+menu and heared the "shutter sound".
But the screen stays black, but the backlight increases very rapidly. And many little 'stars' (from the AMOLED screen) appears.
Have to reset the phone by holding POWER.
EDIT: Google found me something: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=22737711&postcount=882

[Q] Nexus 4 - Screen always on

Hi,
I am currently running a stock ROM (4.2.2) with latest Franco kernel.
My Nexus 4 doesn't turn the screen off automatically after a period of inactivity. Is this the expected behaviour? The display is set to sleep after 15 sec and I can see that it dims the brightness, but the screen is still on unless I manually lock it with the power button.
Can you tell me if this is "normal"?
Thanks

Click to collapse
Nevermind, I re-flashed the kernel and the screen gets turned off properly after a period of inactivity.
