Problem receiving text messages - HD2 General

I seem to have a problem receiving text messages, it doesnt happen all the time. But 5-6 times a day I get a message 30 mins after its been sent, it comes up with the actual time sent, hence why I know how late it is.
Had a quick search but couldnt find anything.
Anyone got any advice?!

Bump, has anyone else had this problem?

May be you have an "Operator" problems?
Or there is a problem with your SIM card...
I suggest you to check it with your operator.

sms replying

hi,
when i receive a sms, i notice if i use the reply option my sms will not go through...it says sent but actually not get delivered. i have to use the NEW option all the time. anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?
The same thing happens to me!
But in my case, it says NOT SENT!
only the NEW option works....!
I guess its something with the Radio unit!
ezzkht,
u ever solved the problem or know the cause of it?
Nop! I never find a solution for it
I guess it could be a problem with the SMS message center!
I remember the Nokia phones, there has been an option under the SMS menu, named USE SAME MESSAGE CENTER WHEN REPLYING!
When I used to put this option on, replying to SMS won't work with me, but once I turn it off, everything goes alright!
I donno if there's such an option in Pocket PC :?

I have the same problem on Tmobile's system here, but only when replying to cingular customers. TMobile has a ticket open for me but it has been open since February, I was told in May that it would probably be another 6 months before they got it fixed. The problem I have found is that when you reply it uses 11 digits instead of 10.....If you do a message with 10 it gets delivered, if you do it with 11 it says sent on your device but never gets past their server. If you do a delivery confirmation on the replies then you will get them back after a couple of days detailing the problem above, or at least I do.
Andy
i reply too sms all the time
i'm using rom1.66
it might be network related. i don't have a problem with mine.

Huge SMS reception delay

Does anyone else has the same problem? I can see the screen lights up and than it takes sometimes even 2 minutes for sms to appear.
Anyone got any idea about this? The delay is geting bigger now... sometimes even 15min passes till i get the msg...
Sorry I can't help but I do get delay sometimes up to about 30 seconds. Never really bothered too much with it.
If it was me i'd probably Hard Reset then try a new Rom if it didn't help.

Thats nothing to do with the provider. I wrote that my screen lights up, and even "busy cursor" appears on screen, but it shows the message way after that.

if the issue is in your device it should be cured by hardresetting.
I don´t know any ROM that has this issue by default. Maybe you might asked in the specific thread of the ROM you are using.

[Q] incoming text message shows different time

I'm on froyo 318 with performance fix
I just noticed that when I receive a text message, it would say that I received it 5 hours earlier. eg. my wife sends me a text at 6pm, I'll receive it at 6pm but the time will say 1pm.
anyone having the same issue?
thanks

Hi im also facing the same issue and its a pain as the message we receive is above the message we send.
Hope DELL releases a fix for the same soon.
the windows mobile os used to have the same problem, there was a registry tweak that fixed it... likely there is one in android... unlikely a dell specific problem.
anyone know where this setting might be?
I checked the settings and I couldn't find anything even change the time to military time still didn't make a difference
hope someone could point us to the right direction

hd mini is restarting when i recieve some text messages?

I tried searching but nothing really came up. Sometimes when I recieve a text message my phone soft resets itself immediately and I never get to read the text message, its not in my inbox.
Have asked someone to resend the same message twice now and its been happening.
Any ideas on whats going on here? I got thep hone in december, its never been updated, is it a known problem and is there a fix for it?
Its REALLY winding me up because I need my phone, I work on call and recieve my shifts via text message

[Q] Google Talk messages appearing before the other person's

Hi guys.
An issue I noted was that my messages would appear above my friend's messages even though he messaged me first.
Does anyone else have this problem? A reboot seems to temporarily fix it, but I can't seem to pinpoint what exactly causes this. Thanks!
That is a problem that has existed for quite some time. It is something about gtalk displaying messages ordered by received time, but incomming messages use a different time than system time, or something like that. You can check that the messages are sorted by time, but incomming messages have wrong timestamps. It happened to my GFs phone once and the fix was checking (or unchecking) "automatic" in Settings>Date & Time settings. Very weird, I know...

PS: I don't have a Nexus10 yet, I'm waiting for mine, and never had this problem myself, but I know about this problem on many other phones as you can see in the link above.
