Not sure... I didn't make it, I just copy pasted like any good XDA user does. I don't understand how it works at all, I just know it is super cool like liquid nitrogen.
In all seriousness, I have no idea why it would be wrong, I assume is just a line of code that polls your device ID info to fill in the lines.

IIRC, the Android Browser tells the site you are on Android, but if it doesn't read that, it then says you are an iPhone, which iPhone's get read as Mac's w/Safari if the site doesn't have an iPhone specific site.

Had you ever used the internet before today?

What are these internets you're all talking about?
If the facebook link works then I guess you know your login is saved in a cookie on your computer. Keep it safe.
As for the image showing you you're on a Mac when you're using your N1; The user-agent string in the browser tells the webserver all kinds of information like OS, software name, version, preferred locale and possibly more.
CM 5.0.6 says:
Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 2.1-update1; en-us; Nexus One Build/EPE54B) AppleWebKit/ 530.17 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/530.17

The image should tell you Linux and WebKit, but it may just assume that means you're on Mac using Safari. It probably doesn't know better.

Just used it for a bit and wow. Make sure and turn off ftouchflo because it has its own finger scrolling and it is very good imo.
I would never pay 3 bucks a month to use it, but I would definitely pay a little and use it.
It seems much faster than IE to me, this one gets the info, then loads the page. IE takes a long time and scrolling is slow.
ibisBrowser Not Secure
From their website:

I think hacking should really not even be offered in this forum.. Since this is about development, there is a very fine line between legal and illegal.. so we all strive to keep this site alive by not offer any warez or serial number hacks..

well, since you are NOT a developer and DID NOT discover the exploit yourself (and for the community to improve the software) - that makes you nothing more than a common theif.
i wish i were an admin or moderator - i would get your IP address, find the ISP, call the company and your local law enforcement agency.... you PUBLICLY confessed to STEALING.

I'm trying to get one of these HTC WiFi Router options to work correctly with an upgraded Stock Sprint Touch Pro 2 that has the WinMo 6.5 update.
I've installed a few that seem to be the same thing, however I cannot find any changes. I've checked the obvious places, start menu, connections... Looked for suggestive entries in Program Files / Registry... Can't seem to see what, if anything, has been added, or how to utilize it.
Any suggestions?
I do appreciate anyone's time and effort to get something like this working...

Hey levi, didn't see your question till today.
When I install it on the tmo 6.5 ROM, the app creates a new folder in the start menu called "Communication" and puts the icon for it in there. If you don't find that, then the file it links to is here -> \Windows\CMInternetSharing.exe
You can start it manually from there, and copy/paste a shortcut to wherever in your start menu you want it.

Chrome to phone...

Hi,
is there the porting for "Chrome to phone" in Eclair 2.1??
http://code.google.com/p/chrometophone/downloads/list
there is in Froyo 2.2...but i think will be a good developer for porting in eclair!
ps: sorry for my BAD english...
reading helps...
Google Chrome to Phone Extension is a project consisting of a Chrome Extension, Android App, and supporting AppEngine server that enables users to send links from their Chrome desktop browser to their Android device using Android's Cloud to Device Messaging service.

how does reading help? your cited text doesnt mention whether someone is working on a backport for 2.1
i guess its too dependant on new api Features for an easy port... you could achieve ok results with some working around ... i guess.
no, but my quotation explains that this is not a browser for android. like i said, reading helps. you just gotta do it.

Exceedingly doubtful since it requires the "Cloud to Device Messaging Service" which only exists in Froyo.
Eclair simply won't have the framework/APIs to support it.

Dave
so let's just wait for Froyo on hero

sounds reasonable. i was about to ask whether it might be able to backport apis, then again it will be prly easier to port froyo in full...

huh? neither OP nor I were saying that it's a browser for android. we were talking about the extension. it seems that you are the one who should read more carefully.
Seriously, read again! Where does OP signal that he's talking about a browser for android. He linked to a website (containing the extension for chrome and the android-side apk) and asked whether someone's working on a port for that or not.
Instead of doubting yourself after I asked you how that citation would help him, you decided to be a big douchebag about it in your answer to me. Way to go, genius. Your parents must be proud of you.
apart from that i just have to mention, that this is a really big thing what google devs did on froyo!
long awaited, hopefully to get it this year on my hero

I had asked them for a Nexus One apk so that might be the reason, already put another request for a Galaxy S apk letting them know I have a Nexus S we will see what they say
Update 2: Their answer :
Hello!
I am sorry for the misunderstanding.
Unfortunately, your Android device Samsung Nexus S is not supported. Our development team is constantly working to bring new games to all platforms and we forward them all your suggestions. We do not currently have any specific information to share about release of games for your device, but be sure to follow our Twitter (twitter.com/gameloft) or like us on Facebook (facebook.com/gameloft) so that you'll be the first to know when this changes. All our new game announcements are available there in real time, so stay tuned!
If your device is not supported, please do not try downloading a game which is not for your specific phone model. Each game is built for one particular device. If your phone is not listed, it's no use trying to get another game build. It will not work and it is not meant to work.
Please get back to me if you have any other questions.
Best wishes,

Xoom / Android Bridge? like bb playbook bridge?

Does anyone here know of an app that is similar to the playbook's bridge app?
So that one could pair their Android based phone to there honeycomb tablet and bridge sms / calls / internet / notifications?
I've seen WebOS's previews and they seem excellent.
I've seen Blackberry's Playbook and the Bridge features.
Will Google respond with there own?
Thanks!
Nope. This doesn't exist. Especially down to the level that RIM and WebOS does it.
I sure hope so, the HP stuff looks amazing! I'm hoping ice cream will give us that, they have been saying its supposed to bring the two form factors closer together. Having it right now would be amazing though
