Hi!
I thought it would be nice to have a thread that we can ask which files to backup for different programs.
I want to backup my eT9 dictionary and my YouTube bookmarks with PIM backup, can someone tell me which files to backup?

Are there files I can back up to save my messages? I want to reload my original software, or possibly upgrade to this Wizard_Love_2[1].26.10.2_WWE_Novii_CF2.rar file I've had collecting dust for a few months.
I have Resco file explorer so I can see the system folders. Where (if possible) do I find and backup the files containing the messages (text msgs, MMS, etc)?
Doesn't anybody have any info on this?
PIM Backup
Try looking for a program called PIM Backup...it's by some other forum member...i think it was dotFred or something of that sort...it'll be able to backup your messages.
here's a direct link to the guy's site:

Thanks! I'll try it
Hi,
I had to do a hard reset on my HTC Touch and i couldnt backup my messages before that. But i do have an file with all messages in it on my Mac via Missing Sync... messages.csv
Is there a way to get these messages back on my ppc?
Thanx a lot in advance!
Can missing sync not restore the csv file it's backed up?
So what program made the .csv file, since you double posted the same question in the PIM Backup thread can we assume you used PIM Backup to create it? If so use PIM to restore it.
No, it was made with Missing Sync, but it's not possible to restore them with that program. Pim Backup also does not do the trick
Didn't think it supported that file type, but your post over there got me confussed, maybe you can find someone with MS Outlook and use that, MS Office has supported csv files for years. Anything beyond that, I don't have a clue, guess this will be a lession to start backing up your pda.
I did a backup and it saved it as pim.vol. When I did a restore, I browsed for the pim.vol file and it doesn't see the file. I am trying to restore my contacts. Any help with this program? Thanks
Hey there,
New to the cab creation, searched with no luck...
Is there a way to make a cab backup the replaced files and then restore them on app's uninstallation?
Or at least overwrite the installed files with backup ones already provided/installed by the cab?
Thanks.
I want to do a complete backup of programs and settings (registry files ).... how can I do?

Sprite Backup (share)
SPB Backup (share)
resco backup is one of the most powerful
Then there's the SPB Clone, which can create a self-extracting exe image of the device, but that's one really expensive program

I agree. Resco Backup is the best. Sprite backup hasn't worked for me which is really NOT what you want for a backup program.
Resco backup will backup everything on your rom and sd card but not the rom itself. However, you can just reflash the rom or hard reset and Resco Backup will do the rest.
