Hopefully someone here can help me. I have the new T-Mobile MDA and I leave it on all the time. When I pick it up in the morning, the phone has no sound coming out of it. Toggling the volume up, down, off, vibrate, anything.... doesn't make a difference.
If someone calls me when my phone is in this mode, it only vibrates and my ringtones don't play either. The only way to fix this is to reboot the phone. I'm not sure if this happens due to leaving the phone on while charging or from leaving the phone on for more than 24-hours at a time.
Any help you guys could provide would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Sounds an unusual problem - which ring tone are you using? and are you using any profile program and which today plugins have you got installed?
3 things you could do -
1. disable any added plugins\profiles,
2. use default windows ringtone,
3. if all else fails - hard reset and see if this still occurs without any added programs - if it does prob hardware problem and you will need to return to supplier,
Hello,
Does anyone now how I can disable the beep that occurs any time I push the call button to call someone?
I guess there is a registry hack to do so. When the profile is set to silent, the beep is disabled. But for all the others profiles it's on.
I haven't found yet any way to solve my problem.
Can you help me?
thx
Hi i got a problem here.
If i did not remember wrongly, HTC Touch HD has a function had can mute incoming call ring by facing down the phone, and i remember that i had test tis function when i first got the phone and it it working.
But now after testing some software tis function seem to be gone...i knew i can tweak it by editing registry, but so there a option in the phone by default?
Or I can tweak it with Advanced Config V3?
Pls correct me if i am wrong, is it true that Flip Phone to mute the ringtone is a default for HD and there is no option to turn it off by default?
I found that tis flip phone to mute ringtone function works intermittmently for my phone!!! What could cause the problem? It is activate by G-sensor or the light sensor?
I tired it on mine and if Gyrator2 is running it is not working. I've setted up Gyrator to rotate only for events that I have specified - so it shouldn't influence this. Anyone has any ideas how to fix this?
***++bump++***
It doesn't work for me either!
I discover that it is working if i set to vibrate!!!
I got the same problem yesterday.
Today, I saw your post and test it in vibrate mode, and found that it works.
Then I switch ringtone on, it also works..........
and I now know how it works.
If you set it to vibrate mode **OR** ringtone mode, you can flip to mute.
If you set to **BOTH**, it doesn't works........

I tink it works intermittently, if u flip the phone a lot of times it may work.
Anybody who has a HD w/o any software installed care to test?
Cos i remember that after i hard reset it can work when i set to vibrate and ring.
For me its random, I can have it on Ring only or ring and vibrate and sometimes in either case it will work and sometimes it wont work. I tried slowly flipping it and swiftly and agressively. Nothing.
Hi there,
I have a few small questions...
I was trying to help someone the other day with this problem on their HTC Touch HD, but I had the same problem also.
When setting the End Key to lock the handset, its not actually locking it.
Any ideas? The end key works to disconnect open connections, but not to lock?
Also, when someone phones me, with a custom ringtone set on my Phone, it rings once, then doesn't continue ringing, just stops but the person calling remains calling.
Can this be fixed in anyway?
Thank you,
I have a Jawbone which was paired to my HD2. When I make a phone call it works, but when I receive a call it doesn't work. Has anyone experienced this problem? Has anyone solved it?
Also, when I place the set face down it doesn't automatically switch to speaker. Is there a setting?
1 - Answer the call on the handsfree and not on the phone.
2 - It has to be on perfect horizontal position to work (if not calibrate the g-sensor)
1- I always answer the call through the hands free but the call goes on the phone. Maybe a reset would do it.
2- Thanks didn't know that. It actually works
