hey whats up everyone i was lookin at the youtube videos and i saw a titan with a iphone interface was wonderin how i can get that on my titan that i should be recieving in the mail on wednesday TIA
There are 2 themes I can get you. One is simple and the other is annoying and long to install, but quite possibly THE BEST iphone theme out there.
Simple one (requires no other programs): Download from below
Complicated one (requires Wisbar Advance 2 and Wisbar Advance Desktop):
http://www.ppcgeeks.com/my-iphone-theme-finalized-and-includes-instructions-t6291.html
Pictures from the complicated one: http://picasaweb.google.com/lazyboy0172/MyPhone
thanks alot i will most def try theharder one first lol and if it seems to hard i will go with the easy one lol thanks again now im just waitin for my titan to come in the mail
I can only imagine what the memory usage would be after running all of that...it's sick, but I can only wonder what the performance is like.
well if i get it working lol i'll let you know

Never really looked at free memory before installing all that stuff, but after removing the voice speed dial and sms programs from my startup folder (never use em so no reason to let them sit there eating my memory), I have about 21mb free RAM. Thats with wisbar advance 2, wisbar advance desktop, the iLock program, and the imselector keyboard skin loading at startup.
When you leave voice speed dial and the sms program in startup, you only have 10-12mb free RAM. So yeah, if you don't use those 2 programs, remove them. They're called sddaemon and poutlook and they're located in the windows>startup folder. I just backed them up somewhere in case for some odd reason I'd want them in startup again.

If you use SPB Backup, you can backup your PIM stuff (aka email, contacts, etc.) so that should cover it.
we set it up on the 6700 and its awesome didnt lose anything its great....now just waitin for my mogul and i'll be puttin it on that damn SPRINT.COM for takin my money and still havent sent my phone
so is this complicated one worth while? i wanna do put an iphone theme on my mogul, and theres alot of em out there. so i just wanna kno which is the best... is there anyone better than that complicated one?
not its not hard at all took about 35 minutes my friend has been playin with it he says its nice as soon as we got it on his phone i had taken off so didnt get to see much he was flippin out about the scroll unlock thing he things thats the greatest thing in the world haha i dont know when i'll see him again but when i get my mogul i will def put it in
Dam I didnt know you can do this... Im going to do this on my mogul... but I have one question..... IF YOU DO THIS MOD... CAN YOU UNINSTALL IT AND GO BACK TO REGULAR THEME? AND HOW CAN YOU DO THAT???? OR EVEN BETTER... CAN YOU HAVE BOTH THE REGULAR THEME AND THE IPOD THEME??? AND CHOOSE BETWEEN THEM....? THANK YOU..... IN ADVANCE....

Well, there's always the hard reset button.
does anyone have an instant messager? cuz im pretty much a noob, wen it comes to this stuff... so if someone could help me out, it would be much aprpeciated...
Ok I installed it and just uninstalled it. I don't like wisbar it's nice for looks and sounds but beyond that it does nothing special. Also I can't stand iLock it looks pretty but it's so poorly executed.
Personally, I'll stick with my pocket breeze and SPB pocket plus today plugin.
If you want a phone that looks pretty but can't do anything go for the iPhone don't bungle the Mogul up =/

Amen, brother...........
I just install the "long" version of the iphone theme, everything seems extremely slower now. Also the clock onthe slide2lock screen is off. how do I adjust that?
Did everyone install this on the phone or on the storage card?

unfortunately I've had limited success with this theme. It eats up all my memory and causes me to soft reset about a dozen times per day. And it always locks up at the most inopportune moments. i just hard reset and am going to try installing again to see if i can get some better results.
If only the Mogul had as much free RAM as we all thought it would. Hopefully someone figures this out and gives us our RAM back!
hi all,
any s/w available for having video ringtones on wm5 ?
why would you want video ringtones?
Something eye catching for deaf people?
it looks cool...so is nethin 4 tht available ?
time to keep this post on the top of the thread. someone please code this up before apple takes credit for one more thing.
http://gizmodo.com/5020939/video-ringtones-for-iphone-revolutionize-answering-your-phone
and i dont want to hear "oh thats stupid" because after apple does it...it will be the best thing since slice bread.
it would be nice to see it in a program like S2U.

If I could work out how to capture calls, I'd give it a shot... But, I haven't worked it out yet!
I hate Apples marketing lies too!
VERY DOPE IDEA.....someone please hop on this
ya for real i will donate or pay. we need something way cool to shut the iphone people up. video ringtones
maybe itll be easier to start with animated flash or gif instead of full vdeio clips? very interesting idea indeed!
If you could capture the incoming call
the all that woyld be needed is like tcpmp to play full screen video
or even wmp instead of audio ringtone
With 2 buttons Ignore and answer
And of course the caller ID info displaying
I havet written code in 10 yrs and I was never that good
i wish i was though
This is a great idea
But sprint phones had Video Ringtones like 5 years ago
On the sanyo mm500
So APPLE didnt revolutionize sh**
But WinMo can make it BETTER!!!
Apple are not revolutionary, and this is done by a seperate company anyway...
I'll package up a very basic call capturer as a test to see if it works in theory... Then I'll try and embed some form of media player...
could we maybe modify photo app by removing limitations (picture format),so it can play gif's as someone mentioned....or maybe a plug-in will be enough....it'll just take to make a plug-in
I was just wondering yesterday why WM phones can't do this. Seeing that a lot of non-smartphones can do it. I don't really mind since it's kind of pointless. I have S2U2 showing who's calling me, which is actually useful.
I think this is a cool idea, not sure that I would use it, but nevertheless..nice idea
Here's a quick test app to see if it's possible to intercept the calls...

So has anyone tried this yet?
Edit: I put it on my device but I'm not sure what to do with it. When I click on the icon it gives me some screen about the caller name, the caller number & the caller contact... with the only options to accept or reject. Any suggestions or just a description l3v5y?

Wait until you get a call and tell me if it pops up above the default screen.

Get a call! And then tell me if it works!
(I'm not popular enough to have people call me )
This sounds like a very useful dialer ..
http://www.engadget.com/2009/04/03/eyes-free-shell-for-android-actually-delivers-on-its-name/
i.e. touch any part of screen and it will be 'five' then your gestures will decide which number to pick. With every number you 'go over' you get a feedback (vibrate/key click).
Would be awesome if someone can port it over to windows mobile.
It would be sweet to have this for WinMo.
However, if it will be a paid app I'll skip it though.

Thats brilliant if u ever find one for the HTC Wizard do post
I dunno about the vibrations and whatnot to dial. It would be like morse code lol... but a full sized canvas for you to draw numbers wouldnt be all bad. it could even use gestures and still not require you to physically look at the phone when you dial. A
brilliant idea
what for is this solution?
If someone is blaind then I uterstand but in other case i can't find enything briliant in that thing. Sometging new but useless for me ....
msvc or cyberon anyone?
Nah its just useful if you are preoccupied doing something and you'd rather not look at the phone when you're dialing.. for example.. say you're watching a movie and its getting good.. but then your girlfriend asks you to call her friend and ask her what time your gonna meet her somewhere and blah blah.. So to put it simply, it just makes life easier.
Honestly how many people these days remember numbers? Most people just stick a number in their contacts. The only numbers I could tell you off the top of my head are my own and my wife's.
ever tried to use the time when driving for 'useful' purpose like navigating complex phone tree ('press 3 for billing followed by your account number') ?

...hate wen that happens
cool app, excellence in its simplicity i have to say
here it goes

i worked on this today.
let's see what you think
It is gorgeous and for the last 3 days all's I have done tweak/upgrade and generally have fun with all the possibilities.
One thing I am a bit disappointed with is the font display on the home screen in the quicklinks - the font is so small it just does not seem to display correctly...and some of the links I have added to the quicklinks seem a bit pixelated...
Is there anything I can do about this?
Thanks
Scott

i dont get it either but i guess they want phone that works out of the box and they dont want to spent time tweaking it(best part about windows mobile, cause u can make your phone look like exactly the way u want ) and maybe cause of appstore? dunno about that cause itunes are very bad imho... slow and doesnt let u do what u want...
well everybody likes somethin else...
Activating Cleartype fixes the pixelation in the fonts you referred to. To turn it on go to Settings>Menu>All Settings>System>Screen and select the Cleartype tab.
Excellent that has made such a difference - the small title text for each Quick Link is still a bit fussy - or it just maybe be me....
I love this phone!!!
Thanks
Scott
Just did a restart and found the text is now truely clear - so I revoke my fussy statement from before.

Almost sold my HTC TP2 but SOMETHING told me to wait .. Problem was I was not happy with anything about it except the quality and feel ... I have been using the iphone for over a year now. got so used to that who interface. Someone said try the SPB Mobile shell .. I did .. had an old version from I don't know how many years ago .. Didn't do it for me ... then I went to see what the latest looked like .. WHAT AN IMPROVEMENT .. After than I installed the idial pad and the icontacts freeware and my phone I believe is going to pass up my iphone. I will be passing that to my son. There are a few apps that I will miss but I might find a replacement if I keep looking .. The most missed will be the program for looking at my eBay auctions and second is something called Glucose Buddy .. iphone just makes things so simple ..
gladd that u searched and did some mods and u love your phone. cuz i do to.
Hmm... why did you get the tp2 if you had an iPhone?
DOUBLE POST .. hmmm .. how did I do that ?
I bought it because I like windows mobile .. I don't like paying to put music on my phone, I don't like paying for ringtones... on too many occasions I paid for something and it got lost ??? I don't know how, but whatever was just GONE and couldn't get it back... ON and ON ... I wish WinMo would react to touch a little better, more like the iphone, but it is close enough.
ALSO: I am a gadget-a-holic. I saw one that someone had and just had to have it ..

It makes the menu in file explorer all fit in one screen...stock and some roms make the menu finger friendly, where you have to scroll up and down to see the rest of the menu options.
At the risk of sounding like I should have my phone taken away from me and replaced with an old Nokia or Motorola .. Is there a ROM that would transform this phone into an iphone sort of ?? What I miss the most is that with the iphone there is no digging. There is an icon for settings and the rest of the icons are applications .. I like that because I feel lost every time I pick this phone up .. Yesterday I had to go somewhere and didn't want to have that, "how do I ??" look on my face so I put my sim in my iphone and left my HTC at home ..

Every Sense 2.5 rom offers you today screen with roll-up-applications-on-a-screen (specially Cookie`s amazing Home Tab + editor), plus every important notifiaction on a screen. If you don`t wanna change your rom, you can install Iphone today, it gives you exactly same screen interface like Iphoney - no digging, just taping and you getin` there. Check it out:forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=508429.
Thanks for the iphone today skin info. I installed it and I am tweaking this and that .. I know windows mobile people hate hearing "I love my iphone." But I will say this .. I HATE THE FACT THAT I LOVE IT .. but I miss all the other bennys that come with owning something OTHER than the iphone .. I am now happy to have the best of both worlds.
Lately my eyes are getting older [ I AM NOT THOUGH ] and I have a hard time with windows mobile, especially making calls while driving. So don't get me wrong people .. I love Windows Mobile. I love HTC phones .. I hate Apple ANYTHING .. but I not only WANT but NEED the big icons etc that I have on my iphone .. I hope to be selling my iphone or giving it to my son if he still wants it, in the near future .. He is actually talking about getting the HTC HD2 I think ..
well i know that you can increase the text size but i myself never really did check to see if it did work since i can see but go under settings -> system -> screen. then go to the text size and adjust it from there. not sure if it would work or not but hope it does do the trick for ya
You can configure SPB Mobile Shell 3.5.3's home screen to be almost a dead ringer for iPhone. I understand the thing about picking up the phone and feeling lost, but only when I'm supremely inebriated, sleepy, or trippin' pretty hard. I got SPB set up with 3 pages of quicklinks for 95% of the things I do with my phone. I like to leave the stuff that can temporarily bork the phone in a place that has to be dug out to find...

There is also an exact shell replacement that mimics the upcoming WM7.
