I am using HTC PhoneCanvas 3.0 33556.0 under WM6.5 Build 21202 WWE R6.1 cooked by Xplode. every thing is working smoothly BUT there should be a tab under phone settings to control many options like:
1- add new number to contacts at end of a call
2- vibrate when call is connected
3- reject call with SMS + the option to write your custom SMS
Where is that tab????
i believe phone settings tabs are controled by phonesetting.dll and HTC phone canvas add another file called phonesettingExt.dll that should hold 2 tabs( more & advanced) but this one have (PIN2 & more)!!! so now i can control PIN2 from 2 different tabs!!!
any ideas?
80+ visits and no reply!!! Does that mean i am the only one having this issue or that every body have it and dont mind???

Hello Xplode,
i am using HTC phone canvas that you posted in "Iolite Stuff for Blueangel updated [31.01.2009] " thread!
By the way thanks for your great efforts that made Blue angel survive till now
maybe i have missed depedency for it, look in kaiser forums there is ported phonecanvas which woked fine
When I start a program on the HD2 it stays active untill I go to Setting - Other - Taskmanagement and deactivate all.
On my previous HD I had a setting where I could choose to deactivate the program when I choose the [x] on the upperright of the screen. Now there is no possibility to do such a thing and to go to [Setting]-[Other]-[Taskmanagement] each time is not my prefered way of working...
Does anyone knows how to do this on HD2?
Thanks!
I think there should be a taskmaneger settings where you can set on "x" button to close programs not just minimalize. I had it in my TP2 with leo rom i think.
nope, there isnt one.
you need to use the taskmanager
install Showcase, that is similar app... tha press and hold right upper corner...
showcase works great. thnx
not as handy as the quick menu like the HD but this works fine for me

What version are you using?
Showcase did not work on my HD2.
Leo (HD2) comes without HTC Task Manager and this is why you don't have the option to close apps by using "X"
You can install the HTC Task Manager by cab and you will get this functionality.
^where do I get the cab miri?

Are there any performance issues, when installing the HTC Task Manager?
Or what is the reason, why it comes without it?
Because HTC did it again...
A wonderfull phone with a Beta ROM (GPS Lag, No TaskMannager button, No Owner Info to register your Apps, No real Multitouch,...)...

i dont have a gps lag, but i've got the rest.
for the owner info, just put your name in the people/contacts by ME
that should do the trick

if you mean navigation,
i use garmin. with all the extras on it,
gps fix is made within in a minute.
with my hd1 it took like 2 or 3 minutes before i've got a fix
I don't know the reason and don't see it causing problems. I'm using it on my ROMs and there are no problems with it.
Probably because HD2 has bigger RAM HTC has thought that it's better to leave apps open on the phone...this way they open faster
I don't have the cab, but you can search on the forums.

If you don't like Showcase, or for whatever other reason, another option is MobileSRC's Flipper (http://www.mobilesrc.com/flipper.aspx). It's got other features besides a task manager (you need to purchase the app if you want to use more than two features at a time), but I've found it works perfectly well as a free task manager.
I don't know how it'll work with the HD2, though, as I'm still waiting mine to arrive, but the app works fine with my TP2.
It's weird that HTC removed the Task Manager. Ok it's a "beast" and can run lots of apps at the same time, but the task manager was a nice way to close apps we don't want open.
This should work.

is it possible to activate HTC time enhancement in WM calendar, I mean tapping and chhoring time? by registry mod?
I usulally disable sense (manila) and use titanium but I noticed that in several apps HTC time enhancement appears (myphone, Group Sms) but I don't know how to use it in WM calendar. It would be great!
If you use one of the newest ROM builds (the one with the new button layout), then I think it has a much better time selector...thing.

Hello,
i used advanced configuration tool to show the 3g auto option in comm manager. Only problem is it wont move, and is stuck in the off position ?
i use 6.1 1.56.405.1
radio 1.13.25.24
Any ideas please ?
steve
hi,
i have hd with stock rom....
i had same problem as you with" advanced configuration tool to show the 3g"
when i wanted to tweak ..my comm manager with "advance config"..
.(.yes as you put it "button was stuck ")
i then tried alternative and it works o.k for me...
... have been " using hd2 comm cab with 3 g slider button " for a few months (5..or maby 6 months ?)
..no problems..!
anyway ..to recap ...
i saw..." tip 49 in..." Leo Hints, Tips and Registry Tweaks"
in the... hd2 general ..section ..
and i quote....from tip 49...
..." 49. Enable 3G Button in Comm Manager
In Comm Manager, you can substitute the Microsoft direct push for Outlook button for a GSM/3G button by installing the cab below. Warning, please execute tip 60 before this tip "
here is the link ..you might want to take a look at it ..?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=583638
by the way .. i choose to ignore tip 60 as i do not use or miss " direct push "
(also you will see relevant cab for, hd2 comm man , just below tip 58 )
if you want to try it.. dont forget..to install to device and soft reset..!
good luck
willcor
hi and thanks willcor for the information.
I found a 6.1 rom that did not suck the life out of the battery, in fact in testing at the moment seems to have slightly better performance. It is called dammsmalltopix and has a very small amount apps, which means you can still add on the one you really want. If, in final testing i find even the topix rom sucks more battery power i will give your .cab a go as the stock rom, with a radio 1.1.4.25.24 upgrade is really good battery wise.
I have tried most(if not all) win mobile 6.5 roms and they all burn down the battery...they look very nice though. The best 6.5 rom for battery life was miniterror ravge`s that was controlled by the lock program s2u2, for keeping background apps off as best as possible.
Thanks again,
steve.
Willcor,
just as an update...that works...perfect mate, thanks
Steve
