Hello all.
I think it will be useful to get short vibrate on each button press in intelidialer to make it sure that button really pressed. May be somebody can write small program to do it? I know that there are several replacements of intelidialer that have such function, but they do much more and are big in size. Thanx in advance.
It will be great. :!: I think that it is possible to realise it by regisrty editing. Does anybody has an idea?
Yes, this will be great!
Plz Help :?
Anyone have tried motorola a1000? it have this feature...
(this is the only pros of device  )
Yes i need something like that too, because when i press the touchscreen with my finger doesen't press every time, so a short vibrate to indicate that it is pressed will be gold.
I tried to find a solution but have no results yet. But I've made a registry tweak for the keys sounds like loud "one", "two", "three" etc. If anybody intrested in it I can make a cab a little bit later.
for me it sounds good, it's a good start, first we have tones and then someone can ad vibrate, it's better then nothing.
we are waiting for a .cab with digit sounds.
thnx.
I found somewhere a free dialer that claims to vibrate on every button touch but i don't want to use other dialer. If someone it's intereseted i think i can upload it or give a direct link, just tell me.
give us a link.
maybe it will be useful
Here is the link: http://www.pocketgamer.org/d9/
Maybe someone can make a seperate program just for the vibration, from the source code? :?
This program do the job for only 10 $

Direct link to the program

I find the way!!!!!!!!!!!
for i = 0 to 9
Give an example for "i" Button:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sounds\Dtmf "i"]
1. Rename Standart DWORD parameter "Sound" to "Sound1"
2. Create new String Parameter "Sound"
3. Assign value *vibrate* to this new parameter.
next i
Hi StronG01,
Thanks for that. Its works like a charm. You are gr8.
Cheers,
Vishal
Thanks!
I can't make it work.. . I renamed the old "Sound" to "Sound1" , i Add a value string named "Sound" and then it ask about "Contents for <Sound>" and if i write there "vibrate" nothing happens. What i am doing wrong?
Its ok, I finally did it. The value that must be written when ask "Contents for <Sound>" it is "*vibrate*" not only vibrate, but with the asterisks too.., thax a lot, it's great.
Excellent find, dude,.
Thanks
faysel, over at the modaco forum has come up with this awesome cab that lets you get vibrating feedback everytime you press one of the number buttons in the phone. The vibration lasts as long (or as short!) as you press the button.
Great cab, very useful for knowing whether you have indeed pressed the key.
This is great, thank you. I used to use Redial with vibrating effect on my PDA2k (WM2003SE) but this is even better
don't expect a long battery life with that!

Are you kidding me? I mean what kind of a battery effect you think it will have? Its such a small vibe that I don't expect to have ANY noticable effect on battery life. First it vibes only when you dial phone numbers (how many a day? 5? 6? even 20? Its still nothing. Second, receiving a phone call, that is the vibration during it, probably uses more power than this addition will use in 20 calls...
I really disagree...
This is a great little program!
I don't like it because if you tap fast, it wont vibrate. In addition to this, there is a serious problem with the dialer after you uninstall it.
So I had to reinstall it and now i'm stuck with it
My rating : 0 (ZERO)
@Andrew_sh: use the attached cab to get the keytones back, then uncheck from the sounds and notifications settings to get a working silent dialer back.
@Koksie
Thanks for trying but unfortunately it won't fix it.
When I press the button , the tone will sound but if I press it again shortly after, it lags and makes a higher pitched tone.
Sorry to hear it didn't work Andrew, I have no idea how to fix this. I use the vibrate and am happy with it, on my Magician going back with this cab worked fine, I have no idea what is causing this in your Prophet. I hope you can figure it out and correct it, good luck with that.

Try this, it's a saved registry string of the original keys that the .cab modified. Hopefully i'll work for you without messing up anything else.
I had to rename the file vibrate off.reg.exe to ba able to attach it. Just delete the .exe part ie. vibrate off.reg
this is a technical forum
can someone paste here the registry keys which are being modified by this vibrate utility?
thanks
Using a registry editor navigate to the following keys and follow the directions. Do this for each of the listed registy keys
1. Rename Standard DWORD parameter "Sound" to "Sound1"
2. Create new String Parameter "Sound"
3. Assign value *vibrate* to this new parameter.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sounds\Dtmf#
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sounds\Dtmf*
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sounds\Dtmf0
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sounds\Dtmf1
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sounds\Dtmf2
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sounds\Dtmf3
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sounds\Dtmf4
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sounds\Dtmf5
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sounds\Dtmf6
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sounds\Dtmf7
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sounds\Dtmf8
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sounds\Dtmf9
this mod doesn't work fine for me, I noticed the vibrate a few time but it's not working everytime I tap on the Keypad...
Strange :?
Although the mod works fine, I had big troubles removing it again.
After removing the mod with the supplied cab file any keys pressed in the dialer would lag and emmit a short beep.
i finally succeeded in removing it manually:
First reinstall the vibrate mod again so that the keys vibrated again when pressed.
Then go into the registery keys posted above, deleted the parameter "Sound" and then rename the parameter "Sound1" back to "Sound".
Do this for all Dtmf keys.
Thats all
its true if you tap fast it wont vibrate at all.. very annoying. is there a way to make it vibrate for a set lenght.. much like the dtmf tones used to be.. no matter how long or short i press..
that would be very useful.
regards,
tom

I used this mod until I found out that I couldn't turn off vibrate on incoming calls anymore. I can't be sure that they are related, but the timing was right. The next time I did a ROM upgrade I didn't install it again. I use speed dial with Photo Contacts Pro anyway.

Not installing on Tytn / Black2.5
"Installation unsuccesfull, Not meant for this device"
Did anybody have more luck? How?
I don't like this
...the vibrate just doesn't trigger some of the time, which means you can't rely on tactile feedback on dialling, which makes it fairly useless. Sorry...
buhahahaha

works fine on my Jamin. Great app
Hey all I wanted to know if there is a program that will make my Wing vibrate slightly when I dial so I know I pressed the keys. I found this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=269024
but is doesn't work on my wing. Any thoughts out there?
Doesn't works for my LG KS20 too, is there any software to do the same job for vibrating on key pressing like the LG Viewty?
did you set the keypad tone to short under phone settings?
I cannot install it... error message.
I adjusted the reg, its faster and simpler. Did you try that?

Vibsrating Keys Cab
Here u go ..... just made a cab for it
Its lso included in one of my WM6 Roms
Thanks for the cab, i'm going to try it on my wm6 device.
i see 7 downloads..but no feedback yat..
feedback...;-)
thanks for the cab..i installed it on my tytn 2 and it works fine. there is one flaw (and i am almost sure it has nothing to do with what you did): you can press a key very lightly and produce a number without any vibration..i don't know if this can be prevented, but the problem is: you never have a 100% reliability that no vibe= no key pressed...
maybe its also related to ur touch screen pressures setting..
that sure makes sense...;-)
Have downloaded and used the vibrating keys cab on a 2003se BA. Great. No problems, and thanks!
cab only works intermittantly on a hermes/tytn/8525 device. uninstalled, and no longer get dtmf tones. dtmf is funtional, but i dont hear the tones when i press a number to dial. all i get is a singlr tone for most of the the keys, and another tone for a few of t e others. how do i restore the tones that were produced prior to this cab. Also, would someone share the reg edit that makes the phone vibe on digit press.
Works on Eten M700
Works great on my Eten Glofiish M700 with WM6
you have to make sure that under phone options, its set to short or long tones..if its set to off, you will not ave anything
Thanks for the great CAB

Hi.
Im having a problem with my diamond. Its seems it will not stop vibrating whenever a call comes in. Instead of short repeating vibrations its now one long vibratiiiiiiooooooooooon. You get the point.
Why is this? Am I alone with this problem?
Thank you.
//
Im using:
Official 2.03 ROM
S2U2
this is no problem...
its the normal vibration behaviour..
somewhere in the development and hacking section there is an application which lets you "customize the vibration pattern" (search these words)
Place the phone in your pocket. It may not solve the vibrating problem but you'll find that you suddenly don't care anymore!

Hi Skeptisk, have you got Microsoft Voice command installed? As had the same sort of problem and other random issues and in my case it was caused by MSVC. Other than that please list your installed apps and tweaks you've made and I'm sure someone will be able to help you.
you must change the registry entry for that
go to HKCU\ControlPanel\Sounds\RingTone0 and change the value from Script to av1pw3r
the v0 or v1 or v2 stands for the seconds the phone is vibrating
0 is endless and 1 is 1 sec vibration etc....
just use valert but you will have to not use htc volume control, because it's a bug in that program, works fine with the standard WM vol control tho
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=437279
there is a problem with WM6.5 roms lock slider:
if a call comes in & the lock is active but the phone is in suspend (power off or manually pressed the power button) the call will show "unknown caller"
you will not see the name until you answer od then you can see it later as missed call
this is annoying as you can not screen the calls & answer/ignore the ones you like
the slider lock will show the name only if the sceen has not turned off yet (did not enter suspend mode yet)
is there any fix out there?
I am thinking if someone knows how to make the screen light dim firest the turn off only (without power off / suspend) then it will work
anyone has a registry tweak to just turn screen off & leave the ppc running without suspend?
or any other fix????
i like to use the wm6.5 lock, i know i can use S2U2 but i prefer this one & hope we can fix it
thanks
Same issue !
Same problem here...
i use Chobit Company SmartLock and HTC phone Canvas...
HTC phone canvas is first to present ID caller then in communication WM6.5 lock is activate by Suspend mode in communication... because Chobit Smartlock is in use... other i have the same issue like You...
unknown caller with WM6.5 lock when it s suspend mode...
i agree, if anybody knows how to solve this problem... i buy it !

hmm i couldn't get the smartlock to work for me on my xperia
i used CsDevCtrl and it's sorta working... it auto locks my device if the backlight turns off or if i manually put it in suspend mode *power off button* and locks on wake up.... has a bunch of features i'd never use so it's a bit more complex than i'd like. but even with that auto lock i still get the unknown caller... i'll have to read more about htc phone canvas.. i'm not really liking the xperia dialer anyway... never have...
p.s. while we are on this topic of wm 6.5 screen lock... anyone else notice that alarms sometimes don't display the minutes if the phone is locked ? the slider works and everything for snooze and dismiss... but... it just shows the hour of the alarm.. and then dots like "10:...." even though the alarm is for 10:25...? plz post if you are also havin this problem...
again tho.. these problems might just because it's not the offical build yet... these problems may be worked out with an offical release... nothing i can't live with at the momemnt
so i still have no luck with this unknown caller ID issue
i am sure someone knows the registry tweak..as many programs just use screen off
for example media player as you can play music while screen is off
or S2U2 can lock / turn off screen but leave phone working unsuspended
please help
Thanks
I've noticed this also but if you use a dialer that has its own slide to unlock then it tends to work fine..at least for me anyway..
It does take about 2 seconds for it to go from unknown caller to who it actually is though..
not sure if device dependant, when a call comes in and no id showing I simply press the power button twice (off then back on) and i.d then shows
Hmmm, after showing Unknown for the Caller ID this morning, now the caller ID is showing up on wake. Strange. Only thing I have done was install the sdkcerts cab. I'll test further.
no caller id in tmobile wing after installing s2u2 1.62
Has anyone tried changing calleridmatch?
Use a registry editor and go to HKCU\Control Panel\Phone\CalIidMatch value is by default 8, i.e 8 Digits. Change that to 7 and soft reset.
I will test and see if it helps, it used to help w/wm6.1.....

Hi
i did not notice that i guess because i did not the alarm with lock screen before
but thanks for pointing it out
i fixed the problem
all what you need is to unzip the attached file..use the 2 files inside to replace the ones in "\windows" folder
i used resco explorer to replace because they are protected windows files
then soft-reset...everything works better after that & shows full clock & am/pm too
enjoy
It seems that the latest builds of WM6.5(builds 21221 & 21222) have solved this issue...

Yes. I notice that the cuts happen when the video plays (the small arrows to the left and right of the slider) Once that times out, the music is contiuous.
