Its not bricked. Just flash the original T-Mobile ROM while connected to USB and all should be back to normal.

That works good to me
I have a similar problem but I can't connect via USB to my phone. It will show USB on the bottom of the phone's screen, but Windows mobile device center doesn't show any connections. I'm running Win7 64 bit.

In bootloader "Windows Mobile Device Center" will not sync. If you are trying to recover from a bad flash just leave the phone in bootloader mode and flash the stock T-Mobile rom back into the phone. You will not need Active Sync/Windows Mobile Device Center to sync for that... I have done it many times and I too have Win7 x64 and x86. Also XP.

My friend's jamin when he tried upgrading with smart1 wm6
after the flashing process finished it gives the 3 colors of boot loader
the screen flickers continously with the 3 colors
no way to hard reset the device
and activesync doesn't feel it
I searched all the forum for a problem like this but I didn't find any
any suggestion please, or any help?
Flash NVID Rom and try Smart again. Read WM6 upgrade Manuel and readme for the ROM.

Please how can i flash with the activesync doesn't notice my device and where's NVID Rom
Ok. I'll search for it but please help how can I flash it to the device which doesn't recognized or felt by PC
If your device is in bootloader mode, activesync cannot recognize it but this is normal. Jamin is recognize only as a usb device and you can downgrade it to NVID rom easly.
Then you could upgrade your favorite rom, I suggest PDAVIET 4.0.0.1
Bye for now

I think I didn't discuss the problem well
The Problem is when I start to flashing a rom a message tells that check if the usb is connected and if the device is connected .
This is happen with the device is connected to the cable and the tricolor screen is flicking . and the device doesn't open doesn't flashing.
must use NVID rom. maybe qtek nvid one from here? http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Prophet_ROMs

If the problem still there, Try to release the battery for 1-3 hours and put it again to the device, go to the boot loader and pray. Hopefully it could work. Actually, this way worked on my Himalaya and Prophet.
Just run the "Step 1" component of the PDAViet ROM (http://rapidshare.com/files/32728615/Prophet_PDAViet_Step1.zip), which is just a plain AKU 2.20 NVID. This will find your device even if its in bootloader mode (it doesnt depend on activesync). Just flash it with that sucker and you should have a working phone on WM5, then you can safely upgrade it to WM6 (or leave it if you like).

Error 260... If i remember correctly that's "cant find device" or something.
Few things to check:
Is the PC you are upgrading on running windows vista?
If so, use a different PC running windows XP.
Have you tried a different USB cable?
If not, do so, this tends to be the cause of problems like this.
Have you checked device manager?
Go to control panel, Administrative tools, computer management, device manager and see if you can find your device. If it has a yellow ! icon on it or is listed as "Unknown device" or anything like that then you may need to reinstall the drivers (int hsi case the easiest way to do that is to reinstall activesync). If everyhting is working properly it should show up as "HTC USB Sync", "PocketPC USB Sync" or something like that under the heading "Mobile Devices".
Have you just plain tried another computer, regardless of the OS?
I found that I could never get my phone to flash on my laptop, but it worked without a problem on my desktop. This is not to say laptop's cant do it, it simply means some computers just have problems like (in my case i believe) no USB 2.0, or too low-powered USB ports.

When I tried hard reset it stucks at bootloader. so tried to enter boot mode (red green blue screen) and reinstal rom. it starts and look it works properly but instalation of new room is not completed (error 270). have read simmilar topics in forums and it seems it´s because device is not connected with activesync. any ideas how to fix? please don´t say I have a brick
Cannot connect
Use the original cable supplied by HTC. There seems to be an issue with other cables.
sanjeev
Are your really using ActiveSync or Mobile Device Center?
In bootloader mode when connected via USB, can you read "USB" on the Bottom of the Display?
to both questions I can say yes. but nothing happens. it seem pc doesn´t recognize device.

Opens activesync at the PDA and the go to connections settings. (menu->connections).
See if USB connection is selected there.

Hi there,
I flashed my HD2 several times before, using winXP. Now I got a new laptop with
Win 7 64 bit. I want to flash my phone with a WM6.5 Dutty ROM. The phone syncs fine when running but when it switches to bootloader, the laptop doesn't recognize the phone anymore. It does not switch to USB and on the Laptop I get the message that there is no driver for "Qualcomm CDMA technologies MSM"
Help please, I tried to find some answers but couldn't find anything!
Thanks.

Mate, this issue has been known since the beginning of HD2 using win 7 or vista. There is a thread duscussing about that, but unfortunately I forget the link for that.
I also use win 7 64 bit and I experienced that too.
What I did to solve it was turning off my phone and leave it for a while (at least 5 minutes) and also turn off my pc.
After that i turn it on again the pc and the phone and plug the phone to different usb port. It works.
If you still have problem, you can try to reinstall windows mobile center.
goodluck
hi.i have a touch hd quite a while, and i though about flashing it...i read the two sticky threads, but no matter what, when i try to flash my 1.54 spl, via HSPLWrapper_Blackstone_156OliNex.zip , when goes to bootloader, i get a message in my pc and it says that its not connected etc. i updated my drivers (win 7 32bit), via the guide some1 posted, but no results... can someone help? am i missing something here? i tried to use hspl steps.. "Anything but 1.56.OliNex - go to step (HSPL1) on post 2"
r 1.13.25.24
G 1.56.00
when i went to bootloader says spl 1.54 .... any help??
First of all you have to verify that if you connect your device to pc via usb cable, WDMC (Windows Device Mobile Center) starts and recognize your Touch HD.

yes it is connected....when i connect the hd to pc , is connected to activesync directly,as the installation notes says to do.thats what i cant understand.
when is says that the stuff will take 10 mins, and is flips from WDMC connection, and bootloader shows up, it looses the connection there.
but when i generally open the bootloader, it says serial, and then when i plug the usb, it recognises it and it says usb...
Have you shutdown any firewall and antivirus?
If yes, try this:
1 - shutdown your Hd
2 - unplug usb cable
3 - start in bootloader
4 - connect usb cable
5 - start wrapper
If you have problem yet, try another usb cable

Here on XDA you can find a huge variety of ROM for HTC Blackstone but I can't say which is more stable.
I have tried Energy 29022 Sense2.5 Cookie2.0 Jul.08, it's very beautiful but there is no volume control via hardware keys so I removed after one day of use.
Now I'm testing blackSTONEhenge™ HyPer with Manila 2.5 on my HD and It seem ok.
I suggest you to start with one of these, then search on XDA, look your favourite ROM and test yourself if you like it
I'm glad the paparoachh got this resolved, but please post any further flashing queries in The Dummies Guide thread rather than starting a new thread.

Hello...
Where could I get USB drivers for HD2? I've searched all over the web and found nothing.
The thing is, that I can't get anything flashed onto it. I start it into bootloader mode (I have cotullas HSPL 2.08 version) and it says "Serial". When I connect it to the computer via USB it says "USB" but when I try to flash anything it just doesn't recognize the connection so it says that USB connection can't be found.
What to do?

try different cable and usb ports.
Which OS do you have? Windows 7 doesn't need drivers, just plug and play.
Official HTC cable is the only reliable one, s spurious cable might work for charging but not for data!

If you have Windows 7, install Windows Mobile Device Center (WMDC) before flashing anything.
