Note: Your alarm will turn off after 10 minutes - Nexus One General

I overslept today because my alarm was automatically switched off after 10 minutes. (maybe the volume was too low)
There was a notification that said that it was automatically turned off after 10 minutes.
Is there way to make it
1) ring longer and
2) use an increasing volume or high volume.
or do I have to use a separate alarm app ?

Go to the advanced settings in Alarms and you can set the volume for alarms.

download Klaxon alarm app.

I use klaxon because of this feature.

Try getting more sleep.
I can't imagine trying to sleep through 10 minute rining and vibrating of a phone.

New Alarm

I used the alarm function on my old phone and it was great, it would ring and ring and ring for a minute every five minutes unless i hit snooze.
My new phone (Titan) has a terrible alarm, it can ring and vibrate and light up... for about thirty seconds, and then I get a wonderful little reminder that my alarm went off on my screen! Its such a great alarm that I was only a LITTLE late to school today.
Any help would be much appreciated.
I've been looking in the forum but have thus far not stumbled upon anything useful.
My alarm will repeat until I either snooze or turn it off.
Under clock and alarms, go to the alarms tab, then tap the bell on the alarm.
repeat will be an option as well as flash and vibrate. I use alarm5 for the sound. See if it works with that sound on your device....

Alarm, profiles and sounds problem/question

I noticed something last night after setting my alarm for the first time. If my phone is set to vibrate or silent the alarm doesn't sound, even if I tick the box "sound alarms even when the device is set to silent or vibrate" in the cloks and alarms folder in "All settings"
I've found that this is becasue in the profiles silent and vibrate, the system volume is set to 0. The only way I can get my alarm to sound is if I turn the system volume up. However, if I increase the system volume up on either of these profiles (eg select vibrate, keep rinder on 0, and set system volume to 50% for example), after about 20 seconds it automatically swaps to the profile "Normal". the normal profile then has the settings I set for vibrate ie, ringer 0, system volume 50. If I select vibrate again it goes back to the default vibrate settings, ie ring 0, system 0. Why does it automatically go back to normal, and thus altering normal, and can you personalise each profile?
I want to be able to set a profile where the ringer is off so I'm not disturbed by phone calls in the night, but where the system volume is on so my alarm will wake me in the morning. I can set it to profile and adjust the ringer volume using the side volume controls, which is my solution for now, but I would like to be able to do it by selecting a profile.
Cheers
I’ve got exactly the same problem. Having Xperia X1 previously windows had a simple option to set off the alarm even when the phone is in the night mood, so I wasn’t bother by anything during the night and have my reports in the morning. Not anymore with my new HTC HD2. If anyone have a solution please share it with us.
There is another problem of mine. As previously Xperia X1 let me show the time across the whole tabs in the tab/notification bar, again HTC HD2 doesn’t seem to have that function, or does it?

I'm sure I came across an option for this whilst exploring my phone, but I can't remember where. If I find it again I'll let you know, unless I'm totally losing the plot and there isn't the option and I've just made it up lol

HD2 phone alarm...

It's been acting strangely for the past few days. Basically I have the "Alarm-Snooze" tone for my alarm sound.
On a different topic, if I have events set to remind in my calendar, I have the reminder tone set to "Ring-Basic"
Now going back to the phone alarm, every morning when the alarm goes off, it goes off playing two tones "Ring-Basic" + "Alarm-Snooze" COMBINED! Plus instead of the alarm going off until I physically turn it off, the alarm turns off by itself after about 5 seconds.
This isn't right, and it have never done this before. A bug perhaps? Any suggestions...

How can I put the phone on mute and still use alarm?

After upgrading to 5.0.1 (Magma ROM) I am trying to put the phone on silent when I go to sleep but still want to wake up from the alarm.
In the quick toggles I can switch from sound to vibrate and vice-versa but there's no option for mute as I used to in KK.
I don't wan't to enable the Don't disturb mode with priority alerts since I don't want to be notified on events while I'm sleeping.
Any idea?
It doesn't matter if it's on silent or not, the alarm will ring.
Otherwise it would be useless.
On the old phones the alarm would ring even when the phone was turned off.

I9500 doesn't ring when it's off and it doesn't ring if it's on silent mode (without priority alerts)
I just realized that in priority alerts, even if untick all options, alarm will always ring.

Setting a reoccurring alarm issue.

So I have an alarm set every morning for work. I also use the do not disturb quick launch. Well for whatever reason every time I use do not disturb it turns off the alarm even though I have it set for alarms only mode. Anybody else having this issue?? Or and I just doing something wrong.
Alarms Only mutes only alarms. Try Priority.
