I don't understand why. I had this problem before. My messaging apps was constantly quitting as if I was pushing the home key. I wiped and everything was working great.
I recently had to wipe and restored my apps via titanium backup and now my maps app keeps quitting on me. so far that is the only one with the problem. Anyone else experiencing this? It quits so often, it renders the app pretty much useless.

Hi all
I have been using froyo in my G3 (JPM version) with no problem. I installed go launcher ex and it worked perfect. But once i moved google maps into the main desk, and i used gps to get my ubication the mobile started to do strange things.
Google maps crash all the time, and then other applications start crashing as well.
I rebooted my mobile but while it was starting, google apps start crashing like calendar or gmail. I unistalled "go launcher ex" and i thought the problem was solved... but yesterday i got the same problem... Sometimes i can start the apps but suddently all apps start crashing and i cannot open any of them so i need to reboot the mobile again.
Any suggestion?
Thanks
Maby your phone cache is full. You could try 1tab cleaner (free). I had the same. After cleaning the cache is doesn't happen again.
Thanks mate.
I hope it works.
Hi, so I am running this rom.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1429199
Everything runs great except Google Maps. I noticed that whenever I open Google Maps and use it for a minute or two it tends to just freeze for 2-3 seconds then closes and boots me back to my home screen. No FC's, no error, just kicks me out. This happens everytime I use it Google Maps.
I have cleared the cache and app data. I have not uninstalled/re-installed it yet. Guess there is always that..Just wondering if anyone else has had this issue.
Thanks.

Update:
Actually, I force closed the app. cleared data and app data. Uninstalled the app. Rebooted the tab. After reboot I went to market and pushed the update to it. (I guess it doesn't actually uninstall since its a G App). After that it works fine, with no closes. Not sure what it was, but that got it working.
same thing here
Hi,
I use the same pre-rooted ROM and have the same problem.
Using the satellite layer in maps even reduces the time it takes to crash.
I also see this behaviour in Google Earth.
I've de-installed and reinstalled, deleted cache and reverted upgrades to no avail.
Any help is welcome. If a log can help, please le us know how to get it.
Thanks.

Edit:
I switched the ROM to Ezterry's (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1265847)
Just wiped cache and dalvik and installed on top of Gersma's
That fixed it for me.
Hi all.
My S4 all the sudden has choppy graphics after a few app updates. All graphics are acting this way, the main launcher (stock) is even acting up! Graphic transitions are not as smooth as they used to be.
This happened before, after installing some camera app, I quickly uninstalled the app since the difference was immediately noticable after installing it and everything went back to normal.
However, a few app updates have been installed tonight, and I don't know which ones were updated, I cleared all the notiications without looking at them all.
Any ideas? Can I somehow see a log of updates for my apps? I really don't want to reset my phone!
Also, HOW in the world can this happen? This must be a bug in the system, that allows apps to mess upp ALL graphics! Very dissapointing.Has anyone else experienced this issue?
Well... I ended up uninstalling almost all my apps, more than 100. :-/
That solved the graphics issue.
Would be nice if this issue was resolved at Google but I'm not sure how to reproduce this since I have no idea what app messed things up!
So today I noticed something when I rebooted, all of my apps are out of their folders in the app drawer, for example I have a folder called social networking and the two apps facebook and facebook messenger will come out of that folder every time I restart the phone. I've tried clearing cache and data on tw launcher, and powering off and on but none of these help, anyone else experiencing this issue?
Edit: Tried a factory reset, this did not fix the issue, apps are still coming out of their folders on a force close of tw launcher or a reboot of the phone. This is annoying as hell!

noticed this too with root.
I have been experiencing a very annoying issue with my moto g5+. Every time I enter the Google search app (swipe right on home screen, tap search bar, enter from recent menu, etc.) there is about a 5-10 second delay where the entire app will freeze. The app will become completely unresponsive, and after the 5-10 seconds everything I've been doing will happen all at once, like typing or scrolling.
This issue is very annoying, and perplexing to me as everything else with the phone is buttery smooth. If I initiate a search from Chrome instead of Google app, I have no issues. This issue has cropped up for me right around the time I downloaded the US OTA security patch, but this could be coincidental.
Has anyone else experienced this? Anyone have any ideas of how to fix it? So far, I have tried clearing cache in recovery menu with no avail. Phone is stock US non-Amazon without rooting or unlocked bootloader.
I have experienced the same issue. Same phone and rom. Are you using an SD card as adopted memory? I haven't yet tried removing mine to see if that could be a factor.
Same here. I had it a couple months ago and then something recently caused it to reappear. I thought maybe a system update had resolved this but it came back again this weekend. I don't have an SD card at all.
Most success I found from clearing cache+data from the Launcher3 system app then restarting the phone. Settings --> Apps --> Show System. You lose your app icon placement but it immediately sped up the Google app.
