When I recieve texts over a certain length it cuts them off. My old Verizon phone sent them in two parts. I was wondering id there was any way to recieve the whole text
Generally it's not the phone's problem, it's the carrier's problem. I think AT&T sends it in multiple 160-character messages, and so does Sprint, but I know a few people from Verizon who send me texts that get cut off after 160 characters.

I have had the same problem on two HTC devices, one, a Wizard and the other a Magic.
When receiving text messages from certain phones (Samsung Cleo on the Bell Mobility Network), many texts I receive say "message format not supported".
The person with the Cleo gets all my messages. I'm on Fido and she's on Bell Mobility. When I put my sim in any of my other phones, iphone, samsung blackjack, I get all the messages.
Any ideas what's going on here? It's only the HTC devices I have that have trouble receiving texts. It's very random. Sometimes I'll get 3 texts in a row, then miss one, other times, I won't get four or five in a row and then I'll get one.
Thanks for any help.
Tom
In case anyone else encounters this problem. The use of the carriage return on the samsung cleo in an sms messages causes it not to be received by either my HTC Magic or Imate K-Jam. Both of those phones give me a "message format not supported" error when someone using a cleo uses a carriage return in their message.
So this may be a question i'll direct at my service provider (Sprint), but I thought I would ask here too.
When I try to send text messages to my dad (AT&T Iphone), he never receives them. When I try to send them to my mom or sister (both AT&T Iphone), they do receive them.
My dad can send them to me and I receive them fine, they just never show up on his phone. I've never had an issue with anyone else receiving them.
Has anyone else ever experienced this?
Purchased a Moto x PE from best buy unlocked. Was using it with T-Mobile perfectly for 2 days and now today I cannot receive text messages. I can place and receive calls, send texts, access data and the only way I can receive texts are if I place an active call I get bombarded with texts that I did not receive before. I performed factory reset and did not fixed issue. I also reseted the APN settings and problem still persists....
Hi guys,
What is wrong with my phone ?
I cannot send TEXT messages, I mean it says they are sent, but the reciever don't get them.
I can normally recieve text messages from anyone. Tested it on 3 different numbers, none got my SMS, I got from all.
Is this my Network Supplier issue, or phone issue?

Free Msg: Unable to send message - Message Blocking is Active
I started receiving this message at exactly 4PM in california today whenever I try to text people. When android people try to text me they get the exact same message, when iphone people text me they don't receive anything but I will not receive any messages or be able to send any messages from and to anyone. I can still call, and called my parents to see if their phone is working since we have the same plan (iTalkBB), and they can send messages freely, just not to me. I figured it is a phone issue and does anyone have any clue as to how to fix this
I had this issue before, it is most likely an issue with your carrier. I have T-Mobile prepaid service. In my case I was trying to text a local 5 digit number that would send back bus/train arrival times, all you had to do is send a message containing the stop ID. But I kept getting some BS about message blocking being active. I could text my friends, no issues. It didn't matter what ROM I was running. I called T-Mo, they said that prepaid customers aren't allowed to message such short number, unless they asked for an exception. The issue is fixed for me now.
my family all use the same carrier and only I have this problem, and my case is all numbers, i can receive pictures and group texts however, which is i found out yesterday
Has the phone had any recent updates? I found that it may be Google Carrier Services that may have upset mine in the past. It gets updates. I adjusted my APN settings and saved and then it was fine.
This just happened to me. My girlfriend wrote to me and received this message. After mistakenly assuming I had blocked her and being mad at me that her account was behind, they suspended her posts. His address changed and that caused the automatic payment to fail. Restart your phone then call your carrier before assuming they are on the other person's phone. if nothing is working I recommend you read this article https://grouphowto.com/message-blocking-is-active/
