anyone able to figure out the reg fix for this, stuck on 3hrs I believe. I would love to be able to change it to an automatic update every 30 mins.

Hi there.
My Hermes is running WM6 (Shamanix Grass Rom) and for some strange reason whenever I set the time to GMT+10 (Sydney) it will change it back to GMT +10(Vladivostok) after a few hours or a few days. This is annoying during Daylight savings times as my phone can be out of time by an hour.
Does anyone know how to fix this issue? I don't really want to Hard Reset it because setting up my 3G Services is a massive pain.
Thanks,
maybe you can try settings->personal->phone->time zone
and disable auto time zone and clock
Ok, Tried that. I'll see how it goes in the next few days
Recently I have noticed that my clock on my home screen stops completely and i have to constantly set it to the right time.
Anyone else with same problem or know how i can fix the problem?
First stop, hard reset. Make sure it's software at fault. Then reload all your programs/tweaks bit by bit and note when the problem occurs. This should tell you what caused it.
I have hard reseted before this problem. Before I do it again I want to know if there is another way.
I have noticed that it is a 3G problem. When I switch the phone band from Auto (3G) to GSM, the clock fixes it self and updates the clock correctly. When I switch the band back to auto, clock is fine again but gradually loses time and stops again. So I kow it is when I am on the 3G band I have this problem.
Any advice or clues why?

how much time does it lose? does syncing with the internet fix it?
I had a time sync problem to do with daylight savings which was fixed with a registry edit.
it loses about 20 minutes to 30 minutes. I never had this problem before. how do I sync it with the internet?
Has anyone found a solution to this. I have exact same problem but it only occurs like once a week I usually lost 5 to 10 minutes and that trick changing Band from auto to GSM and back works for me too.
Is it possible that is operator incident
Same problem here.
I am also experiencing the same problems.
I also noticed this a few days ago. I just switched off and back on and the clock corrected itself.
I've had this problem for some time too; my clock used to lose some 10-12 hours at once, but I've seemed to solve it after I did the following:
Updated S2U2 to latest version, and poked in it's configuration.
Turned off the Automatic Timezone/Clock Correction:
- Settings -> Personal -> Phone -> Timezones.
If this doesn't help, you can use SKTSync in the meantime, to help you correct the clock when it's faulty again. Just run the program, and it will sync the clock to a timeserver.
I've enabled auto update for weather every 12 hours.
It was 20:22, when I've done it, I saw it before update happened.
Well, it happened arround 10:00 when I woke up and I turned sreeen on to see if there is something new, then data connection started connecting and first I checked weather if that is the reason for that.
I saw that is not updated and that update is in progress.
So my question is...does the update start when you first time turn screen on after 12 hours from previous update or is just my hd2 not updating in correct time?

It will only update when you look at that manila tab and the last update wasn´t within the last 12 hours.
Not true. Mine updates in the background whether I'm looking at the Weather tab or not.
So...I see that some hd2's update themself without checking home screen...
Is there any way to fix that so that weather update itself on time?
i saw this awhile ago n now cant see to find it ive searched hwere i forget the location of the file i have to edit can anyone help me im tired of waiting more then 30 seconds for it to update n refresh
I think it is this key
\\registry\hklm\comm\wifi\
scaninterval
or
\\registry\hklm\control panel\wifi\
scaninterval
the problem is that it gets reset every soft reset.

IDK how long it's been doing this but it seems that CarWebGuru is having an issue with the time display. My unit is set for time set by internet and for some reason it Guru is displaying 00:30 for 12:30pm. The system isn't doing that, it's displaying correctly.
When I change Guru to 24 hour time it displayed it correctly as 12:30 but when I change it back to 12 hour time it goes back to 00:30. Anyone know what could cause that?

Did you ever figure this out? I just installed CWG and have the same issue with the formatting of the time. I prefer a standard 12HR clock display and can't find anything in the settings to make that work.
No, I didn't. I think it has to do with these things being Chinese. They apparently use 00 for midnight and if you keep it on 12 hour time they only display 12 as 00 to keep it displayed the way they think is right for when it is midnight.
...at least that's what I'm chalking it up to.
