is there something like in win xp to set a restore point
or is there a install logger?
is it possible to backup all data on the device? ( reg, installed progs ...)
i use wm 6.1
thank you for ur help
Backup
Hello
Yea you can backup alldata ( or just selected options ) with something like Sprite Backup.
Works Great on Ranju's - v7.1 WM6.1 Pro - 5.2.19188 (Build 19188.1.0.0).
Tried all possible options.. No Truble so far
There are maybe other programs that do the Job just as well....SPB Backup, SKTools , Sunnysoft BackupManager and others.
Have Fun
thank you for the answer
i use ranjus rom
SK Tracker can make "snapshots" of your current system (i.e. files and registry entries) and compare them. So you can make a snapshot before and after an installation to see the differences and even restore the former state.

hi to everybody, i've just bought a Jade. 2 questions:
1. does tcpmp work on jade?
2. Does somebody know a freeware soft to make a complete backup of the device? I'm looking for somenthing like the backup tool of winmobile 2003, with that you can keep a new device (doesn't care wich rom in already installed) and restore your backup, after this you will have your device not only with all your datas (contacts, appointments, notes, ecc) but you will have all the programs you had installed too, all the tweaks you set in registry will be restore. I'd like to find out a back up tool that make an "image copy" of the device.
Thanks in advance.

to 2: Look the HTC-website and find "Sprite Backup".
This tool make a full-backup from system.
thanks man!
to 2:
I've got better Results with SPB-Backup on my Elfin an Hermes
to 1:
test it, its work great on the most WM-Devices
I've tested tcpmp on my jade: no problem with installation, I see the icon in the programs page but when I tap on it the player doesn't start and a pop-un message write me off an error and to send the crash.txt file to the developer. So I have to say that tcpmp doesn' work.

Sprite BackUp is included in the Application CD, install both Software, 1 for your Jade and 1 for PC so you can backup your Jade either on your phone or your computer.

I also have the same error with TCPMP, Installation is successful and when I open the application crash.txt is created and asked to be sent to the developer. Is there any other good media player (free) which can be installed as an alternative to TCPMP
hi
this is not my work just rewrote some files
the main add"http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=566731&highlight=sense+UI"
replace cab attached.
1-download main pack from above add
2-use 2 below cab instead of main cab
3-you need JMLPanex2.1 and mortscript("http://www.sto-helit.de/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=5452&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&start=200")
4-first install mortscript then install JMLPanex2.1 after it install hero pack (note 2) and then restart
Well gave it a shot. No love. It makes the Mobile Op screen and freezes.
I'll try again after I reload 6.1, however I think it may be asking to much of the phone.
How much op memery is needed to have all this running?
Remember specs for Typhoon are less then others
Has only 32 MB built in.
Sorry to report.....
I have followed your instructions to the letter.....and again I have to reload my phone with Win Mobile.
( Sticks after Windows Mobile Load screen)
Do not try this unless you are comfortable in flashing your phone!!!
For folks who are flash shy, go with farzad23's Diamond Theme. Easy and good looking.
@ Greywolf_Ghost
i.m using ,dont need more ram but it is a little heavy and another point is "did u read the main add instruction???"
JMLPanex need wm6.5
why flash u'r phone u can just hard reset ,very easy at boot start
Yes as I said I did everything you listed. I even went into 6.5 and tried.
I am running 6.5 as I type this.
The poor little Typhoon just does not seem to have enough available program memory available to handle it all.
The reason for the reload is.........
by default, the last installed screen before reset comes up first. So the phone locks up before it finishes reboot. It runs out of available memory and stalls. ( I tried a number of ways to attempt to get to a default 6.1 or 6.5 main screen no luck on my end).
Thus with a reload ( less then 7 min), no added registry, wallpapers, or files to clog the boot up.
If others manage to get, good on them.......please post up on steps taken.
My feeling tho is this is more for a 64MB and above phone.
It's why I said less advanced users should go with your Diamond version as it looks just as good as this.

I would like to give this another try, however I need you to list what files in what order have to be installed.
I have been reading your instructions over and over, and they are confusing!!!!!
Please list by order, and link the files. ( all required files, and anything that is not needed please also list as a don not install).
Please clear up so I can see if this does work on a Typhoon.
Is anyone else mixed up by the first set of instructions?

The rest seems clear enough.....just some confusion as to what the first file is.
@Greywolf_Ghost
u should install TItanium"http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=588837" then restart then>start>setting>home screen>choos titanium OR titanium media

Many Thanks on the redo of instructions. It worked.
I'd say tho I still prefer the Diamond Slide. As I like the slide bar going top to bottom, in Titanium, bar stays mid and the rest moves through it.
This does look awesome tho.
In any case Thank you for the re-writes!!!
Hello,
I'm sorry if I shouldn't post this here, but I think this is the right place.
Please, is there any solution how to make complete ROM image from my tweaked HD2? I've installed official ROM (1.48), changed some registry settings, installed some programs and now I want to put this tweaked ROM to another HD2 mobile.
Thank you very much!
yes, use spb backup, it makes a full backup, custom backup or scheduled backup of anything. I am using it and its verry good at what it does.
Thanks.
SPB backup can backup the full ROM and anything else (all programs, registry tweaks, localization) and recovery that to another phone, totally from scratch?: )
yes SPB backup can backup the full ROM and anything else (all programs, registry tweaks, localization) and restore that, but if that other phone is a different brand i dont know how the backup will solve compatibility issues regarding registry or 3rd party settings.
I don't think so
My (official) ROM had 180MB, then I installed some programs and SPBBackup has now only 80MB. So I think SPBBackup doesn't backup all the windows files.
I need a tool, which can create image (LEOIMG.nbh) for use with CustomRUU.exe on another HTC HD2.
i guess i misunderstood your point, in this case you'll have to use some cooking rom utilities, see Rom thread for this. sorry.
Anyway, thank you.
I take it that you want to clone the device?! As long as you are using two identical devices (i.e. two HTC HD2's) SpriteClone could be your answer. Try here: http://www.spritesoftware.com/products/sprite-clone
Hope this helps.

Hi All,
I'd like to flash / upgrade my current Samsung Omnia II from Windows Mobile 6.5 Pro CE OS 5.2.21863 (Build 21863.5.0.67) into 6.5.3 so i wonder what should i do to backup the whole Windows Mobile OS ?
is there any software that can backup the mobile phone as whole ? eg. like Norton Ghost in case of the Flash-ROM failed ?
any kind of help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Best software is SPB Backup (sorry can't post link). You can make backup on device with one OS version and restore it on devise with another.
Hi,
I would recommend you to use backup just as a backup and not to use it for RomUpgrade!
If you flash a new software install everything and donĀ“t use your backup.
You can restore SMS, Contacts and single files. But not the whole System. If you do so, your phone will be very slow and bugy.
If you want to backup the Rom you are using right now, search on Modaco for deskdump.exe
Regards
wow, thanks guys, that is so thorough and great explanation.
