oh i forgot to add the HTC website my bad! i hope they FIX the Music Player!
Well I hopped onto the HTC website for some info and was disappointed when it refused my S/N.
I have a UK Orange HTC Touch HD, popped my S/N into the box on the UK HTC website and it rejected it.
It doesnt look like a huge update so I am not so bothered but a bit miffed that its not working.

my UK purchased 'unlocked' HD serial number is being rejected as well, so I cheated http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=501583
since when did the UK leave the EU ???
differences i've noticed in using the new rom for about an hour
1) GPS lock is quicker (and i was previously using the latest radio on a stock UK rom) haven't been on a trip yet to test the lag though
2) Phone feels a little bit quicker to respond (but this could just be me)
3) Activesync doesn't seem to start all the time
4) occasionally the first time you go to turn wifi on it doesn't actually turn on and you have to turn it off then back on again (but it does start correctly every time after that)
5) addition of Iplayer as a program and on the internet tab
I'm impressed so far, am very glad that i read these forums first and went back to the stock SPL before flashing though

Do you mean their's an actual iplayer program or is it just a shortcut that opens opera to the iplayer website?
This iPlayer application sounds interesting, hopefully it can be extracted soon.
what I've noticed:
- calendar bug has been fixed, now it starts in monthly view if set earlier.
- active sync doesn't run all times - saves memory -

v.

HTC says: "This is a generic software update. Any additional software or settings provided by your mobile operator or company will be lost. If you require this customization, please contact your supplier first before upgrading."
It's part of the HTC OEM deal that locked operators have to repack the upgrades with their config and branding, and release it via their own website. I assume HTC is simply ignoring any serials that were sold with branded ROMs to avoid people accidentally killing their phones' operator-specific software.
delete windows mobile 6.5
If i download this rom update.
Will it then delete my windows mobile 6.5 version.
I hope it will be deleted,
6.5 is not so good, very slow - 6.1 is better

HELP
does it have the new manila (like Diamond2 or touch pro2)????
Link from HTC site seems to be removed...it's still there though, follow the link mentioned in page 1 of this post
Thanks for the information!!!
I tried to cheat and use a different S/N too, but after 1% downloaded, it said that the update was not for your PDA. What is going on? Anyone knows how to go around it? I tried the HTC Europe S/N.
Thanks
Hey there, ive had the htc hd2 for a while after getting rid of the touch hd and have to say, its alot better then the previous model but one thing thats missing is the youtube application, i have got in on contract from t-mobile uk and was wondering is they anyway of getting the youtube application without flashing a new rom?
thank you in advance
yes it can be installed as a cab..... but it will screw up other networking programs.
use the search function and search for t mobile youtube app there are several threads about it.
I loaded Ytube via the cab and it works fine without any issues with other programs. I am on T-Mobile. My only problem is the distorted sound on high frequencies during calls.
Today i am really mad with HTC.
I am an owner of HTC HD2 (LEO)
I went to a store in greece to see the new HTC HD-mini (photon) to have a closer look.
I tapped the internet tab on htc sense and it opened Pocket Internet Explorer, and having the habbit of opera mobile of my hd2 and i started pinch 2 zoom and i couldn't believe on my own eyes..!!!
The HD mini had multitouch support on Internet Explorer.
The Rom version that i saw was 1.07.482.1 ELL.
Why HD2 doesn't have multitouch on pie and HD-mini has.??
Can somebody explain me pls.??
Any developer to bring the multitouch pie from HD-mini to LEO??
Thanks in advance.
i think HTC wants you to buy HTC HD Mini when you already have HTC HD2.

The HD2 originally had multitouch in PIE but it was removed for some reason or another.
It would be nice to have pinch to zoom in IE (I don't think full multitouch is possible), but I don't recall seeing a build anywhere.
A possible reason is that 6.5 didn't properly support capacitive screens while 6.5.3 (hence why the HD Mini with stock 6.5.3 has PtZ PIE while the HD2 doesn't. Only Opera).
Personally, I still prefer Opera, and with FixOperaFlash, PIE has been made redundant (to me) on my HD2.
Just asking becauase my brother has the HD7 and cant download apps, games, etc.

no there will be no problem if you can get an activation code from htc
witch seems to be the most precious thing on earth
HD2 or HD7 ??
Every HD2 can run xap file and games but U need to JailBreak or active your device。
Now there is a new way to install xap without ZUNE
i love you hd2...more then...
I activated WP7 on my HD2 . full work......activation in bulgaria
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh forget .hd2 faster then native wp7 devices
I have just loaded an Android ROM onto my HTC HD2 and its working really well. Thanks for all the info on this site. Now my friend who has a HTC HD Mini has asked me to android it aswell. Can i follow the same procedure i used for my HD2 or do i have to use the alternative method. Many thanks
Why do you post your question 2 times?
Btw: There is no "HTC HD2 Mini"
Sorry my PC was playing up and it ended up doing it twice
Thats curious, a 5 minute lag between both posts... maybe we should call an admin for that
the title made me 鸡冻(means excited)
