I own the HD2 english version, but I bought copilot with german maps. Now I installed the deliverd CoPilot version 8.0.0.346 and activated the german maps, everything inside CoPilot is working, but the integration with HTC SENSE is gone. When I choose footprint for example, and press the button for navigate to this footprint, CoPilot starts, but nothing happens. It just start as it would start when I use the program button, but it don´t get any coordiantes and it did not show me any direction or any target. There is just the "new" co pilot live window, were I can set up new target, my targets,mode and setup. How can I disable this windows and get the SENSE integration back ?

Hi all,
I'm just a noob for programming, but I'd like to know if some programers around here could make a script with mortscript for instance, that make the following:
1)When launch, it disables HTC home plug in
2)Then, it launch Igo8
3)When we close igo8, it relaunch HTC home.
It's quite simple, and could make Igo 8 work simply...
Perhaps it's an idiot think, but if it works, I'm sure that a lot of persons around here will appreciate.

If you have Htc home plugIn active, you have not only disable to start Igo8, but you must disable htc plugin then reset htc, otherwise Igo8 will not never start. It's not quite simply, dont' you believe ?!
iGO8 works fine with HTC Home. i'm using it on my polaris for sometime now and it hasn't given me any trouble.
Why don't you post your request on Mortscript thread?
I was thinking about allmost the same, I have ThrottleLauncher activated and it consumes about 7mb and igo need a lot of ram.. I think with mortscript this is no problem but I don't know how

I have tried and it works for me !
I don't have the weather tab enabled and if I switch off HTC home, IGO work, and if I switch on Htc Home Igo don't work . and this without any soft reset.
So The solution might be : disable weather tab, and have a script that disable HTC home before running IGO, and then Rerun HTC home when closing IGO.

Is there anybody being succesfull in transferring the I-GO 2008 navigation software into Diamond Touch? I heard that it was possible and worked but I could not figure out how. I found in forums how to transfer the software to my PDA with Win mobile 5, but the same process was not succesfull with Diamond. My Rom is 1.93.479.3. The app would not finnish instalation and cannot be run after (it just would not start, though it appears in PROGRAMMS as if installed... Any advice?

I have installed Igo8 in my Diamond and it works. Then installation in device, you must copy igo8.exe from device to internal storage/igo8/ and start the application with it. excuse me for my english

i have iGo running with UK maps, but can only search for places by address.

running iGo 8 on my XDA Diamond with original O2 Rom....
running fine with 3d terrain and buildings enabled....
GPS working without problem...search works by adress, poi...everything
only TTS suxx right now....
good ...small maps....(found no tomtom7 map for germany and the netherlands..so i used the 1GB version of western europe)
igo uses only ~360MB for maps (ger+ned) buildings poi speedcams etc....NIIICE

you type postcodes in the CITY box mate
i've got full 7 digit postcodes in uk, BUT not for 2008.4 map only 2008.1
Igo8 will do 7 digit postcode
to get the 7 digit postcode search working in IGO8 do the following
1: download the postcode enabled map from here --> http://rapidshare.com/files/166750423/UnitedKingdom7PPC.rar.
2: after putting it in the map folder in your igo8.content/maps folder start the app
3: when running click find and in the box UNDER United kingdom, the one where you normally put the city put your post code, but (and this is important) you MUST put a space in it, eg DL17 2HR . if you try and put DL172HR you will only get as far as DL172 then it will jump to the 5 digit address.
I have this running on a Touch HD with full postcode search and it works a treat with 3D landscapes, looks very nice.

I've installed and using the IGO R8.3 with my Touch diamond device. Use this sys.txt file Should work.
I have onCourse, and it's working but voice doesn't seem to work at all.
Want to try iGo. However, don't know where to get the required cabs/files, etc. Any help?
Is possible to have TomTom as a defalut navigator with Footprint? What & where are the value to change in HKLM.
In few words i wish to start tomtom when tapping a footprint image in footprint Tab ( and not google maps )

- create in the registry
1. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC and add new key NaviSW
2. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\NaviSW and add new string value
Value name: MiddleLayerDLL
Value data: NaviSWMiddle_TomTom.dll
- after that take a Soft Reset
All done but when tapping navigate to my pda hangs & I've to soft reset
are theese settings corrects?

I can confirm that this works - at least it did for me with TT7!
TomTom should already be running in the background for this to work. This is very annoying as who wants TomTom running in the background.

Is this true?
As a check I've just performed a soft reset to ensure that nothing is running and then selected the M2D Footprints tab followed by Menu -> Navigate To.
TT7 then fired up (indicated by the TT7 splash screen) before going off to look for a valid satellite signal.
Please correct me if I'm wrong but I think that TT7 wasn't running in the background until the menu selection launched it.

huh, well, i guess i had something wrong with my setup then.
my tomtom wont's start,
when i select with footprint an image and then Menu -> Navigate To seems that somthing wants to start ( windows loading logo appears ) but after a few seconds all is out of work , i've to reset the phone

I confirm that tt7 freeze if start from navigate to. But if running in background this work fine.

Has anyone managed to get TomTom 7.915 working correctly with any version of Footprints on a Polaris ?
EDIT: OK so it seems TomTom 7.915 just will not work correctly with Footprints. Turns out Tomtom 7.910 DOES WORK perfectly, the only thing you are losing out on is 'navigate > to > photo' in Tomtom 7.915 (but who needs it because that was footprints is for)
I have attached, what should be, the HTC version from Diamond (slightly modified to work with other devices).

I've now set up my HD2 on WinMo as I like it (stock 3.14, CHT 2.0), but am tempted to run Android, and have installed it for testing. Long term I only want one system though.
Can anyone out there suggest some alternatives for free software I use on WinMo:
Navicomputer: Brilliant and wouldn't want to live without it. Set up to download maps from Google maps, Open Street Map, Bing Aerial, Ordnance Survey on my PC, for excellent offline map access.
CHT: is there an android version? I've got the desire android build running with sense, love the control CHT gives you on sense.
Torchlight: control LED on back as flashlight
Excel: use it in the gym to keep track of exercises, any spreadsheet would do, pref excel though.

not sure about navipanel alt, since i use copilot. (tho android market has a lot of free mapping apps)
no CHT for android, you can try launcher pro, much more customisable than sense
android sense builds have 'flashlight' app, for using led as a torch (can also dl from market)
excel isnt covered in that post, but take a look at documents to go, quick office or think free office (also google menshealth workouts for android & 'bodybuilder' app, they have some useful features & allow you to set up custom workouts)
Thanks for the update - for clarification, I'm not looking for navipanel, but navicomputer, which isn't a routing application like co-pilot, but a mapping one.

1.I would like to run NAV IGO 8 and I have downloaded torent version 8.3.4.117940 (Nov.3.2009) is there any new one available for download today?
And please if there is any procedure how to install this on sd card...
2.Once installed NAV IGO can I update this maps from Naviextras.com?
3.How I can access GPS LAT/LONG position on my HD2?
4.What is your opinion about Copilot 8 installed by default in HD2 ,if I purchase Europe version licence for maps do I have to pay still for software ?

Sorry as I can not help you with all of your questions, but i can help you with one of them. Go to and download the SpeedoPhonev1.31 from freewarepocketpc.net. This app will show your longitude and latitude, plus it is a pretty cool app.
