Weather animation and flip-clock. One in the same??? - HD2 General

Every time the time changes and the flip-clock flips, the weather animation goes off too! (The one on the clock - not the wallpaper one.)
Does anyone know if this can be stopped? It's minor, but it's bloody annoying and just looks like lazy coding to me. (Yes, I am a developer so I'm allowed to say that )

Manila with endless animation?

Hi everyone,
since a few days it's snowing in good old germany and this makes me smile when I look at my TF3D weather panel.
I was wondering if it's possible to change the weather animation to be endless? It would look very fine if the snow would fall and fall and fall.
(I even like rainy weather cause it looks so cute.. )

Change weather animations?

Hi
I've got a custom background with the weather animations and it's great most of the time. only problem is when it's raining i get the wiper animation and this animation includes the original background so i don't see my actual background until it's finished. not a huge problem but i notice it every time and it's starting to bother me.
I'm wondering if there is anyway to modify the weather animations to change the background?
Thanks
from the home screen use your finger and scroll across to settings.
choose Personalize-home tab wallpaper-weather wallpaper-albums(choose your pic)
then back out to the home screen ...

Extra Animation on Clock [1hour, 2minutes]

Everybody knows the clock has the glitch of flipping 1 hour and 2 minutes.
Solution:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=583638 (point 38)
But now I now why HTC did this. There is a possibility that the clock refreshes the wrong way, just look at the picture with this post.
So the 1hour2minutes change everytime ensures the clock displaying the right time.
Nothing important, but I noticed it, so thought let's post the reason of the clock glitch.

Looking for a 2x1 flip clock widget

Hello,
As I'm reorganizing my main home screen (HTC Desire), I find that the original HTC 4x2 takes up too much space especially because I don't care about the weather part of it.
I do like the "flip clock" design though.
I have looked around for an alternative and have found the following solutions:
BeautifulWidget small home widget
This looks nice, especially with the right skin, but it's still a 4x1 widget and the clock itself is not centered even when hiding the weather part of it.
Is it possible at all to have the clock centered?
Digital World Clock widget
This one is a 2x1 widget without weather, which means I can center it at the top of the screen. Unfortunately the date display is bogus on a French locale phone, it does not respect the date format(day month year) and the name of the day of the week (Thursday) gets displayed as a number (5)
I have contacted the author about that, I'll see if he replies.
In the mean time, would you have any other suggestions for this?
Regards
Olivier
Hey,
You could try "Retro Clock Widget", free in the market. Has clock and date functions in separate 2x1 widgets. Not sure if it solves your date issues though.
Good luck.
Thanks, I did see that one as well but the date is not on the same widget as the time so it's not fitting quite well with what I'm looking for.
I sure looks nice though.

Thanks, but I could not find a way to configure it as a 2x1 widget without weather
Not sure if this is what you're looking for, but I use Flip Clock Large (used to be in the market, isn't any more, but you can still find the APK on the web) It's very similar to the original HTC Clock, but without the weather.
I had awesome 2x1 flip clock widget that is part of cMiui ROM, but can't find it anywhere as a standalone widget... please help.
Here is an image of it:

I tried that one, but it doesn't flip when unlocking, to show how many minutes has passed... this is something I really liked on cMiui flip clock widget and can't find it anywhere. It's driving me nuts
This looks like MIUI flip cloc widget:

BUT it doesn't flip!!!
it is just a static clock widget

[Q] Changes font on clock widgets

Has anyone noticed that the font is wrong on clock widgets like DashClock and Chronus? All the font choices in DashClock are the same system font. It's supposed to be the Jelly Bean large hour small minute look, but it sets itself to the system font automatically. Has anyone else noticed this and does anyone know a fix for this? When you go to add the widget, it shows the correct font.... but when it shows on screen, it goes back to the system default. Please help... it may seem small, but it's driving me nuts.
Really?
No one else has noticed this iisue?
Dusting this thread off. Gonna say I've noticed it too. So maybe it's a bug that hasn't been addressed?
