Problems with QuickGPS?

Hey everyone,
QuickGPS popped up as having failed to download. I manually tried... using GPRS, ActiveStync, and WiFi connections. All failed. I can't really find much out about the program. (Yes, I searched xda!)
1. Anyone know what might be the cause?
2. Anyone know if this really makes a difference? (Some posts on other forums claim it makes little to no difference.)

QuickGPS doesn't download
Hi,
I have found I can't download QuickGPS data while my Ameo is plugged into my PC at work (i.e. in activesync). It's probably just the setup of my companies firewall but if I unplug it, QuickGPS downloads okay with normal GPRS.

Yes that is strange, but I remember having this issue before. Check how much time is left before it runs out. I think if there is a certain amount of time left, it won't connect for some reason, but when it gets low enough, it will. Well that has been my experience to date.
In options I have the 3rd setting checked...only update when connected via Activesync. Whenever I check the status, I always seem to have 2 days and xx hours left.
Don't know how else to help mate. If your time has expired, there's a problem, but if not, I don't think it's an issue as it must be doing it silently.
P.S. wgary I don't believe the app to be essential anyway, cause its just for faster signal acquisition when you start your GPS software...unless I'm mistaken.

Or at least it's supposed to be - I've never found it helps much.

problems with newst ROM

I upgraded to the newest available official AT&T ROM (with WM6) and now my "media net" or GPRS or whatever is always connected. How do i fix this? Or is this not really a problem anyway? I assumed it would take more battery life up. Thanks.

I'll go on and answer you before you get flamed for not using the search tool....
I assume you grabbed one of the leaked official AT&T roms from here....
It really doesn't matter. If you always see it on then your mail probably made a connection to the wap net and it wont disconnect after it's done transferring.
DanielHerrero's BandSwitch will auto disconnect if your worried about it. It's here on the forum.
Battery life should be more or less the same if the connection is idle...

Hi! I have problem with ActiveSync program closing on device. When i close ActiveSync with X on Task Manager it closes and after some time (1-2 mins) appears agen. Pleas if you know something about this problem post replay. Tired of closing ActiveSync all the time. Thanks

If you have an Exchange server setup to "push" (or pull) emails at a certain time, I believe ActiveSync will "wake up" and do that for you at the appropriate interval. That could why it keeps reappearing in your Task list.

Nop mail pushing is off. This problem was when i bought device. I done hard reset but still it keeps oppening all the time.

hi guys im new to htc,and have a strange problem,i have a 3 contract with a n95 8gb with unlimited internet the works,and my wife bought me this htc touch hd for xmas, its unlocked so i slapped my 3 sim in it only i cant get any signal .i can connect to the net via my sim but i cant make calls or send txts.when i put the sim in it automatically connected to h3g uk but theres no signal bars when i touch the icon it says no service,and when i go into settings and either automatically or manually select network a network error box appears saying cannot register on selected network.choosse another network,or disconnect your data and try again.ive tryed this to no avail and its thrashing my head.its possibly the best phone ive ever had and i cant use it.can somone please help

Microsoft My Phone Not Logging In

Hey guys, wonder if anyone could help me out here.
Just recently, my Myphone program on my HD2 won't connect to the microsoft servers. When i try to connect, it says theres no connection or there's a connection problem, even though my wifi or 3g connection is fine.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the cab, and now its stuck on the screen saying 'signing onto the myphone service.
Would just like to get this working again before i reflash my phone to the new 1.66 rom so i can retain the messages i have on this computer.
Any help would be appreciated.

Oh yeah, if anyone was wondering, i'm currently running the 1.48 wwe europe rom.

same here my phone does not log in. is there a registry tweak or a patch?

Personally, I've never had an issue with MyPhone, apart from the occassional service down type issues, but I've been using it for about 8 months now, and that's only happened a few times.
Since you said you can use it over wifi, can you not just do that so you've at least got an up-to-date backup before you flash?

I had this issue the other day. Turns out my clock was set to the wrong date/time. Once I set the correct time, I could log in fine.

So what do you mean by the date /time was set wrong? If itsin regards to what day it is and the right date, mine is currently set to the right times at the moment.

Time/Data stamping is very important to a lot of things to function correctly. MyPhone is one of them.
Just sync your time via the internet sync and try it again. I have used this service for some time now as a few others and I have not had more than an occasional server is down messages.
Don't set your time manually do it via internet/air.

Have you downloaded the latest MyPhone from:
http://myphone.microsoft.com/install
Also, connecting to 3G before launching MyPhone may help

Tried everything that has been suggested but still no good.
Upon closer inspection, it seems when u try to logon, the program does not even seem to even access the data connection, whether it is through WiFi or with an active 3g data connection running. it usually jumps straight onto the error screen or just gets stuck on the logging in screen without any result.
So does anyone think it might be caused due to some registry setting preventing the program from using the connection ?
Getting really fustrated with all this at the moment.

sorry to dig up this old post, but i am having the same situation, did you get it solved? how?
Edit: Found on another forum that connecting thought activesync the first fixes this, it worked.

I know this might be redundant question but have you checked your date and time to see if it is correct like suggested previously in this thread. Personaly the date and time somehow getting changed to the wrong date and time is the only reason I have ever bad trouble with Micosoft My Pbone.

[Q] Bluetooth problem, cannot search!

I'm facing a problem with my Omnia 7 (T-Mobile unlocked). Whenever i turn on bluetooth nothing happens. it is unable to find my headset.
Going into diagnosis app then *#232333# "BT Search Test" it shows "Search Fail!!!"
I have tried several ROMs from several carriers and even non-branded ones but still the same. It was working before but suddenly stopped!
Any ideas?

I have a bug too with bluetooth and Mango. no problem on Nodo.
The solution :
Enable bluetooth in settings
Restart your phone with bluetooth enable
Go to bluetooth settings
Search works after restart, you will be able to see the third party bluetooth devices
I'm not sure devices will auto connect next time. Need to check.

After updating with I8700XXKI3 firmware bluetooth is working fine now.

Mine is with wifi nor without not working at all!! ((

I tried the phone-restarting method. It doesn't work for me. Will flash the room to see what happens.

Did flashing the ROM fix it for you?
My phones already been replaced with a refurbished one. This worked fine for a few days but seems to have gone again. I received a couple of Samsung updates for my phone this morning which took my phone up to;
OS: 7.10.7720.68
F/W: 2424.11.9.2
Radio: 2424.11.9.1
Bootloader: 5.9.0.6

I've updated the firmware BUT still no luck
Hello, no joy even after updating to the firmware here http://www.mobiletechworld.com/2011...are-with-internet-sharing-available-i8700ki4/. For your information, I'm trying to connect the Nokia BH-503.

strange i just tried it now and succesfully paired to my head set
but it works just for music, if i play a video it plays from the external (back) speaker, weird!!!!

This issue is starting to annoy me.
Are there any other things that I can try before going to a Samsung repair shop?

Today I noticed the same problem Tried flashing to several 7004 firmwares but no joy. When I turn on bluetooth its only searching and not finding any device. Diagnosis states "search fail". Is this a hardware issue? What else should I try?
Please help

Turn the wifi off, and then try to pair and connect.
Worked instantly for me and nokian bh-111 after i did it.
