It would be great to have a running thread of suggested/tested applications such as on the Rhodium board. I understand a lot of those applications work for the Imagio, but it would be nice to get a linked list going in here.

now that we have a Touch CDMA android development thread, android posts should go there. besides keeping things organized, you may get better answers to your questions, as that is where we are all looking now. so post here. mods, can this be stickied for a few days?

I believe the "don't create new threads" rule supersedes the "post in the right forum" one
I think this whole separation of threads was a bad idea. It just makes things more complicated and messy... With that said this entire rom development section is just riddled with questions and threads that would not fly in the regular hd2 rom development section (including this one).
With that said I am simply asking the moderators to clean and maintain this section. There a lot of non rom development threads being started and no one is moderating them.

Lack of moderation is untrue. Threads are being moved as we find them; however if people don't post in the right fora then this is always a moving feast.
Why don't you help us out by identifying and reporting via the reported posts system any that you come across or think should be moved.

I think the tmo hd2 should be a sub forum with the regular hd2.

That'd be nice, that way all the chatter can be thrown in the general forum. Which I never read.... And keep it my the tweaks and software forum for the device...

I dont own an Evo yet, but im not new to android. I come here for a friend that is very new to android and I like to help. I understand this is a new phone so many people are flocking to it. But I honestly cant believe how many people are posting things in random places. The development thread looks like the general section. Its hard to even find what im looking for.
I know many mods are on it. But the rules of this site (stating what i said above in a professional manner) need to be stickied on all 5 threads for the time being. Hoping it cuts down on useless threads and cluttering of (personal opinion) the development thread.
I was going to post this in the dev thread, hoping people would read it. But i figured it would be hypocritical since this inst dev related.
Second post on the same topic.

do you guys think we could make a few more stickie threads so we can just fill up the entire front page with them? after that why dont we fill up page 2...
i havent gone through them all yet but it looks like theres even a stickie of a thread of all the stickies. did someone divide by zero or something?
can i get a mod to make this a stickie thread? thanks in advance...

Yeah the 100 stickies just suck. Plz make a subforum "for beginners" Or something...
The "Sticky Situation" is temporary. There will be roll-up threads created that will link to all of these stickies later. The fact that they are stickied now is just so that they don't get lost in the transition until they can be added to a roll-up thread.
In the mean time, this thread however is just going to lead to problems and so I'm gonna close it.
Hey guys, relax...the only reason there's a bunch of stickies at the front of every section is that while we were going through ALL the threads in the HD2 sections, we moved certain items to the top by stickying them, which we're going to roll up into a single consolidated thread, one for each section. It's just been the last thing on our list of tasks associated with the changes that have happened today.
That's all, I promise They'll all be out of sight and nice and tidy here very soon, in the meantime, please just bear with us, if you don't mind...
I was wondering what happened in the themes and apps subforum for the hd2, I decided to come out of the hd2 android dev forum and swing by the themes and see if there was anything new for my hd2 and shortly after being there was wondering if I was in the right forum or if they just fired the moderator because almost all of the threads I opened had nothing but irrelevant and non theme/apps discussions, I know is not from a missing moderator, they have a lot in there plate with 100s of post and threads to watch over, there's a lot of threads that should be here instead of there. Apparently a lot of the new people can't navigate to the right forum before creating a new thread that clearly shouldn't be in a forum specifically for themes and apps.
I'm sorry and I don't mean to rant but please, this goes to the newer guys that feel unsure where they need to create the thread, when they are going to post something, if you write "sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong forum" 9 out of 10 times you are in the wrong forum, so please take the time to search and ask, or send a moderator a pm if you're unsure of where you need to be so we can all help in maintaining a cleaner, more organized forum/subforums and in the same process helping each other to find what we're looking for easier.

i don't think you are alone in this regard; i quite agree.
so many of the app threads are "where can i find this app" or "please post" or "can someone port" it gets somewhat annoying. especially as someone who has a thread that is actually a theme (and if i do say, one of the few remaining built on the hd2 that is actually being updated.)
but overall i feel like the ingenuity of hd2 as a device separate from android is near an end. for example, there is nothing special about my theme being built on an hd2; rather it is built for hdmi phones. same i assume goes for most things.
also, the fantastic themers for WM HD2 have not migrated to android. some did, but i haven't seen releases. would be interesting if more would come over.
anyways...i too find most of those threads annoying and misplaced. but in the end, if they weren't there, i am not sure really what would take their place. there really just isn't much being made on hd2s and released here in addition to the main android threads.
