On my fuze, I used a program called "tap text" to quickly fill in commonly used logins, passwords etc. If I, for example, needed to put in a username in a program or internet site, I would tap on "tap text" and then on the shortcut for username and it would automatically fill it in. Unfortunately, this program does not work properly on the Rhodium. Is there any other program out there that you guys use that works similar?

I tried WebIS Mail but after uninstall something broke. When i try to get a name to send an SMS to, I start writing the first few letters and then I get a couple of names to choose from. Before WebIS Mail I could simply tap the name I wanted, but now nothing happens when I tap. Now I have to tap the vcard icon and choose name. Is there some registry setting that is fu**ed up?
hi all
i have my new trusty TyTN (SPV M3100) and well my problem is that everytime i send a Text message, it sends it twice! the exact same message twice!
i type out a 1 page text and it sends 2 ...
and i don't know what to do because its using up my credit so quickly!!
one sorta-fix is that as soon as i press the "send" button, if i go straight to the Outbox, and watch it dissappear, it seems to only send it once...and also sends it a lot quicker than minimising the messaging program
any advice? i've had a look around and can't really find anyone else with the same problem
One quick thing to check is that you do not have duplicates in your contact list. Can happen if you import contacts using sim manager.
Others have reported opposite problem I.e. it says cannot send message when in fact it has sent message!
Mike
You know - I'm having the exact same problem. I do use goodlink and are using the good contact list as well as I the sim contact list - is there anyway turn off the sim contacts?
The problem with mine is that usually I would reply to a txt message, and then when I get a response back - it sends the previous message again. It's really annoying.
Any help would be appreciated!
Oh yeah I have a Cingular 8525.
perhaps you have spb pocketplus (or a similar program that allows an application to be fully closed) and you exited the messaging program before the messages were sent. if so, place tmail.exe in the exceptions list.
ahh yes I do have SPB pocketplus.
I am new to the WM platform, could you please clarify how I can add tmail.exe in the exceptions list? where can I find this exceptions list you speak of?
Thanks!
Vinny
i believe the options will be available by clicking on the spb pocketplus icon in its today plug-in, as well as in the today settings (start > settings > personal > today > items).
Yep correct. You open your "Messaging" application. Then, you directly open SpB Pocket Plus (its either an icon on the today screen or you will find it in the Settings: System: Spb Pocket Plus". Then you click on "Close Button" and press the button "Feature Option". Select the "Exceptions" drawer and press "Add" - there you can choose "Add last used program" -> it should be tmail.exe since "Messaging" was your last application. Thats it!
So i changed from the 8125 to the wing and I have discovered it is much more difficult to send a new text message. You have to go through like 5 different commands...(open the message bar, select text message account, tap menu, scroll to new, scroll to sms) it just seems so tedious so i was wondering if anyone knows of a way to make it so i can have new message be one of my soft key choices (preferably where the delete soft key is). Its really annoying.
Thanks BP
How about when you install the HTC Home plugin, I HAD one until i bricked my phone yesterday :'( it came with the PDAVIET rom which was released some time ago.
What it does is, it shows on the Today screen a link to Email and one to SMS.
That's probably the fastest way.
Cheers
how 'bout putting the command "new sms" under a softkey ?
Or simply install the program "name" (sorry forgot the name) that puts a "New" menu at your left soft-key in the today screen, from there you can choose sms, e-mail, mms etc.. Just search for New menu
Press Contacts softkey. Scroll to the intended recipient. Tap, hold, pick "Send Text Message". Type text message. Press Send softkey.
What's the problem?
How About VIJay?
Hello,
I use VijaySMS All the time... It allows you to make a shortcut (I use SPB Today so I create the shortcuts in there) that either starts a blank SMS or start one to a specific contact. You can find the program at Vijay's webpage here: http://www.vijay555.com/
Enjoy!
You could set up the Message button to automatically go to your SMS Inbox when you press it.
Messaging Inbox > Menu > Tools > Options...
Select Text/SMS and uncheck "Display account picker when opening Messaging." This will automatically open your SMS Inbox, thus eliminating the first two steps of your problem.
Just upgraded to 6800 Mogul that came with WM6.1. I have a today plugin that requires the shortcut to SMS, but the tmail shortcut just takes me to the screen where I chose between email and messaging. Is there a direct link or shortcut to SMS?
I did a search for this, but could not find the answer. Thanks in advance.
There is a setting in the messaging program to not start at the account picker. Just make sure that it isn't set to do so and you'll go straight to text messaging or whatever account u last had opened. Press left or right to move from account to account.
Make a copy of the "tmail.exe" shortcut, or just copy the "Messaging.lnk"
Depending on which explorer you use, I use Resco so I can change the path, but it should look like this:
"\Windows\tmail.exe" -service "SMS" "-to" "-body"
Have that in your properties for the shortcut, if not, open a new notepad file and copy that shortcut and save it as "New SMS.lnk".
this will take you directly to the sms section bypassing the select account screen
Is it possible to copy and paste text that's in an email or on a webpage? It seems I can only copy links by tapping on them and holding, or when you have a text entry box it also seems to work, but what about a chunk of text in an email you've received or on a website? Seems like a pretty basic function, if even windows mobile could manage it.
In browser app, press menu, then the last button, then the "select text" voice (I've an italian one, sorry), it will be automatically copied to clipboard so you can paste it everywhere. I've not yet found a way to copy text from mail app, but you can open mail from browser anyway, following the same procedure
Thanks, works perfectly in the browser, and in text messages you can touch and hold the message to copy all its text. Unfortunately I usually need it more in email, and would take less time to re-write than log into webmail and copy. Seems like an oversight really, if it works in the broswer why can't they make it work elsewhere
