dont forget its capacitive touch screen and that it has snapdragon 1 ghz onboard.
sad only 3.2 mpx.

3.2 Mpx is enough if it works correct... I've got SE k800i and great 3.2 mpx camera... miles better than this one on X1!!! I don't need anything better that k800i like camera

I want. I want so bad

Specs: http://pdadb.net/index.php?m=specs&id=1857&view=1&c=toshiba_k01
Lot of this specs will be boosted cause this is very old source from April 2009...

according to this picture above Dimensions of K01 are
(width x height x depth): 64 x 109 x 15 millimetres
which is 1mm shorter than X1, 10mm wider and 2mm thiner than X1
WOW

but the keyboard is damn UGLY!

I agree with you...
But more important for me is functionality of keyboard... How quickly can I type, and is the keyboard comfortable!!!

Adding a keyboard won't magically turn that POS device into a dream one. I'll wait till I have some hands-on experience with the soft.
P.S. Capacitive screen = FAIL!
P.S. Obama nobel prize = MAJORFAIL!
P.S. Moonimpacting rocket = SUPERFAIL!

Here is a site with all specs
http://www.megamobilecontent.com/specifications/Toshiba-K01/
is 129mm x 70mm x 15mm which i think makes more sense ... how can it be shorter than x1 if has a 4.1" screen...
same specs at the official toshiba roadmap
http://www.gsmarena.com/showpic.php3?sImg=newsimg/09/04/toshiba-tg01-tg02/gsmarena_004.jpg

Do some maths. And you will see! If touchscreen is 4,1' in diameter ... that's 104mm. Aspect ratio of screen is 16:9... it means that dimension of the screen is 51x91mm and if you compare that with photo above you'll get mesures I stated...

I can't agree you more. But, K01 is still far more better than X2, in terms of CPU, LCD, Capactive Touch Screen, and every things except the camera.

Resistive is better than Capacitive. You may PREFER capacitive screens, but resistive ones give you more flexibility and some other stuff that I won't get into.
Agreed about the keyboard. It's the epithome of ugliness.

that keyboard is like the 80's game consoles
winner button ... "space button"

Where can I buy the K01 now?

OMG~ Why can't do these sexy hot specs for Diamond? (I don't like the keyboard )
SE X1
this is the HTC version of the SE XPERIA X1, some of the specs are exactly the same, great device none the less
Hi
How big is resolution ?
is it just me or do all these photos look photo shopped? it seems like ive seen all these pics before as just the diamond...
why do the new devices from HTC use all VGA? Available software is mostly optimized for QVGA or am i wrong and all QVGA-Apps also work on this device
I know what PHone i want next now... lol...
when does this come to the US ???
it will probably be out in shops by mid summer
i noticed, sizewise, it's a little smaller than TyTN II
TyTN II is 112x59x19
Diamon Pro is 102x51x18
plus it weighs less: 165 gramms compared to tytn ii 190 g.
This is the perfect upgrade to my mogul
isnt this phone working on cdma only?
as far as I can remmber it is only cdma!
if not
I want 2
the problem is its VGA not QVGA
You guys know how this goes... This phone is a must for me, and as i saw it's kinda same for you. But i'm a poor little guy over here, someone should buy me one
I promise i will tell you how good it is... Mutually beneficial, isn't it?
EDIT: nvm.. changed my mind.. lol

thinks its only we t-mobile tho and their poo
i know voda is getting the diamond
have to wait and see

Xperia or Samsung OMNIA?

Hi there people.
Which one do you people prefer?
I have a 16gb Omnia, but I love Xperia's 256mb RAM, Real Keyboard, Video @ 30fps VGA and the fact its built by HTC...
But happens that I love 5 megapixel camera
What whould you do in my place?
384mb RAM to be exact

really?
I didnt know. Some of this is specific to video like in Diamond?
xperia, no doubt in mind (well, maybe price)
Honestly, I feel the Omnia is severely overrated... I don't think it even deserves a spot in conversation with the Touch Pro, Xperia, etc. Nice phone? Sure. Past that, I don't know... It seems like an iPhone with no capacitive screen and windows mobile. When you take your stylus around, does it go in your purse right next to your tampons and lip gloss?

I have to agree with that, very girlish
but I dont use the stylus, I keep it in my wallet
and I dont think its overrated, great storage, great screen, great gps, great sound
but obviously you cant compare with HTC in build quality and style
The Omnia is actually a very good WinMo phone - probably the best out there at the moment. There is a reason why it seems to be going like hotcakes (I can't get one on Orange but would have no problems getting a Diamond).
Sure the lack of a stylus slot was a serious oversight (well outright dumb to be honest) but I have played around with this and a diamond and I would go with an Omnia everytime. Aesthetics are very subjective, but the phone has a large screen, is eminently pocketable, has a far better battery than the diamond, and isn't as laggy as the diamond. It has good build quality and feels good in the hand and importantly has very good performance and also a very good camera (with a flash )
With regards to this or an Xperia X1 - it comes down to what is more important - screen resolution and keyboard versus slightly bigger screen, massive storage without the need for an extra microSD card (although it does have an expansion slot) and a very good camera.
To be honest I would be happy with either - I need to play with an Xperia (lord knows when that will happen ) before making my final decision.
I seriously considered the Omnia, but I just can't get excited about a WQVGA screen. I went from a VGA screen (Axim xv50) to a QVGA when I decided I needed a converged phone/PDA, so I'm really, really eager to get back at least to the VGA resolution, and I'd love to get to WVGA. If the Omnia had the same screen as the X1 or the Touch HD, it would be very close to my ideal hardware.
(I'm confused about today's news about the Epix, though -- is Epix the new name for the Mirage, which was assumed to be AT&T's name for the Omnia, or are Epix and Mirage different products, so that there's still hope for Omnia appearing soon in AT&T's lineup?)

Blackstone, here comes Firestone!

Hey fellas, considered getting an aussie Blackstone.then my evil side says checkout pdadb,up pops the Firestone 100!! says it will replace T8282.600mhz CPU w/1000 max overclock.10/09 release.crap, it isnt even spring!!! evil says 50 usd from wife to hidin spot.that aussie Black still looks good though!
i didn't even understand your post sorry.
As far as i can tell, the only major upgrade is the 8mp camera, other than that, the screen is downgraded. The processor is faster by about 80 Mhz but again, who cares. If they don't provide the drivers then it's wasted potential anyways.
Knowing the camera off the HD, i don't think anyone will care about the 8mp camera on the Firestone.
I have a HD and absolutely agree with Post # 2 above. Personally I will wait till WM 6.5 is out and I have seen actual user reviews and also compatibility of my existing programs with 6.5. By that time I am sure HTC would have come up with a model which I can call a real upgrade to the HD. Just my views
I'm really hoping for a Tegra successor to the Blackstone with the same screen size (I believe Blackstone hit the sweet spot, Toshiba TG01 is waaaay too big).
Before that arrives, I think I'm good with what I have.
The OP didn't make any sense.
But just FYI the Chip used is a SnapDragon clocked @ 600Mhz.

It is a WiMaX handset... nothing special about it
Processor -- Qualcomm ESM7206A clocked at 528MHz
Memory -- 288MB of RAM, 256MB ROM, and 8GB of flash storage
Display -- 3.6-inch touchscreen display with 800 x 480 resolution
Cameras -- 5 megapixel main camera with secondary VGA-resolution camera for videoconferencing
Wireless:
WAN -- Tri-band (900/1800/1900MHz) GSM/GPRS/EDGE and Yota Mobile WiMAX (2.5 to 2.7GHz)
WLAN -- 802.11b/g
PAN -- Bluetooth 2.0
GPS
FM receiver
Other I/O:
3.5mm headphone jack
miniUSB port
Video output (connector unspecified, but likely uses special dongle attaching to USB port)
Dimensions -- 4.46 x 2.48 x 0.54 inches (113.5 x 63.1 x 13.9mm)
Weight, with battery -- (151g)
HTC are shipping out to many phones to close to each other with no great improvement between them all.
Personally I would wait till WM 6.5 is released, let some cook do his thing then flash it onto your Blackstone. Why waste money on a new phone which isn't any better than the one you have!
Think I'll wait a while until something really special is released, until then I'm gonna sit on the blackstone!

X2
Nice pics...
But going by SE track record and add to that the lag in release of WM 6.5, I dont think this device will hit the shelfs before end 2009
Hardware doesn't seem to have changed much - just the design. Hmmmm..... I actually think the X1 looks better....
EDIT - From the other post concerning X2:
'According to insider:
-8.1mpx auto focus, VGA @ 30fps (MP4 HQ)
-3.5´ WVGA OLED (increased from 3.0 from X1)
-GPS, aGPS
-Accelerometer
-Faster processor
-512 RAM
-Custom Windows Mobile 6.5 (SE engineers customized Win6.5 which runs very. very speedy. in par with iphone and better in some cases)
-XPERIA Panels are modified with plenty of innovative features (PS3 remote play being one of them)
-Upgrading to Windows Mobile 7 is supported by Xperia panels'
But according to the above screenshot same processor???? Maybe I'm wrong but if the above is implemented then it should be good. design still looks crappy though IMHO....
Great info there. Thanks for sharing it.
By the looks of it... X1 is much better. But in terms of specs if what was stated is true then it'd be great, although I don't think many of us X1 owners now would feel the need to upgrade.
Looking at the keyboard's buttons... is that design supposed to give a better tactile feeling? hmm... I still prefer X1's current keyboard. Took some time to get used to it initially but heck... like it in the end.
Faster processor... well... with all those wonderful cooked roms we have here... guess the difference won't be that much compared to X1.
Oh well.. just my 0.02 opinion. Still love my X1...
With a little improvement from x1, i think almost all the x1 users will stick with their x1 because its not really what you call an upgrade this year.. But if they are saying that you can upgrade the OS to WM 7 we may think about it..
wats up with ur post saying 512mb ram and the phone saying 200(256mb) ram lol
In my opinion X2 really looks cheap. Its like poor sister of X1. I love design of X1.
Btw. check out the Panels button. There is no X anymore. And I would also miss softkeys.
gee...this is the 3rd thread about X2 on the first page already. How many more do we need? lol

New pyramid photos leaked (Desire HD 2 ? )

A couple of new pcitures have been leaked showing the htc pyramid aka the desire hd 2 , looks pretty nice i was pretty much sold until i saw it has 770 mb of ram , i like that the camera no longer sticks out ( less sctraches) and it looks thinner than the desire hd and i also think they dropped the unibody case kinda sad but at least the battery cover will be beasy to remove

indeed qHD screen would nice and also a BIGGER battery!
I hope the qHD screen will get higher refresh rate than 60hz... otherwise frame limiter will be also set to 60fps, and those shiny new dualcore will be really limited...
Uuh how I miss a simple way of opening the back of my DHD, the picture from this one here really give me new hope.
Sent from my Desire HD
The hardware specs are WOW. But the design to me looks a bit feminine like that of samsung. What i mean is....the design is too much of curves on the phone. The top and bottom are also curved and not flat. I like the look of DHD which is VERY masculine hehe

I feel opposite, I much prefer DHD way of keeping minimum area of weak parts of the body making the overall feeling sturdy and cracklingless
Well, DHD by default is not that with it's weak mini covers, but they can be worked out.
