How do I tell if my phone have screen protector installed - Touch Diamond2, Pure General

Hey guys, my first post here =)
I just orderd a TD2 from Ebay, and I cant find the screen protector in the box.
Is very hard to tell if the previous owner have already installed the screen protector on it or not, is there a way to find out?
Thanks for your help

Hi, It's easy to discover, simply look at your front camera. Original screen protector film leaves front camera uncovered. you should see a little circular hole.

Thanks!
So glad I bought this phone, is really a work of art

or see above the left button. There is a corner "unglued". Easy to spot

whats the best screen protector and where can purchase get it from? (for the Exec)
cheers
Brando is good. From HongKong.
Expansys also sell good screenprotectors. Around £8

Here's the best solution....I bought a pack of 15 screen protectors (thats right!) for just around 15 USDs! The quality is great, and I have no issues....
Look around for Ultra-Slim Screen protectors from Pocket Solutions for the I-mate Jasjar, and you should find it....if you're having trouble finding the url, let me know and I could help ;-)
cheers,
San
Another thing that I forgot to mention is that, it uses "static" to cling on to the screen and NO adhesives...this ensures that it doesn't ruin your display!
I also love these, as they extremely slim making it seem as if you had no screen protector installed! I think their line of products are branded under the name ScreenGuardZ....

Before you put a screen protector on, I would guess that you should clean the screen first - otherwise you are just trapping dirt under the screen protector.
My question is...what do you use to clean the screen with? I don't use screen protectors and would be interested in finding out what to use to clean the screen with. Any thoughts?

Spectacle lens cloth, and the odd "breath" to clear stubborn marks.
Cheers,
Steve.

it is very nice, cant even tell its there
IMO, PPCTECHS AG and C2 is the best
Personally, I like my "Martin Fields" screen protectors.
Cheers,
Steve.
Whats the best tip for getting them on without bubbles ? Put one on my wizard and its bubble city.
My tips would be:
1. Make sure your screen is as clean and dust free as possible.
2. Peel just a little of the backing off from one end and offer up the screen protector to the screen.
3. Peel the backing off, and as you do so the protector will attach to the screen.
4. If have bubbles then lift a little and re-apply using something flat/smooth to push it down (DON'T PRESS TOO HARD - YOU WILL DAMAGE YOUR SCREEN).
5. If you have dust under there, a straightened paper clip with a blob of Blu-Tac on the end will be able to reach in and get the dust as you lift the protector.
6. If you need to lift the protector, don't try to use something to prize the edge up - you will mark the protector, just use cellotape (clear sticky tape) on the protector, and pull on that - it will pull the protector up.
Cheers,
Steve.
Anybody have one lying around that they don't want and might sell it? Ebay doesn't seem to have any and all the other places i've looked don't seem so credible (like this). If you have any info, feel free to PM me.

I appreciate your warning, however this has been discussed in great depth before on this thread and is why HTC so nicely provided you with a protector in the first place
thanks for reply .I do not know this thread discussed before, and if i knew so my screen still clean

If you search you will find that there are threads about replacement covers for people who have scratched their HD. Most likely in the Blackstone accessories forum
I knew this after seeing my work mates Diamond, he asked me what the clear plastic on the box was for just a little too late Im afraid
Having had an LG Viewty for 18 months and using their stylus on it constantly, I found the screen protector to be much more of a hinderance than a help and as a consequence had not used the screen protector on my HTC Touch HD.
YMMW.
IMHO As far as quality goes there are screen protectors and there are screen protectors.
I always use one but have had problems in the past with el-cheapo ones so I only buy decent brands which a worth the month as they last a LONG time, do not hinder the interaction with the touch screen or alter the viewing experience.
And don't worry too much Gray_Fox, again IMHO it doesn't matter what you write on this forum someone will always chip in with a very supportive "use the search function!" Do a search on being told to use the search function and you will see what I mean ;-)
i think ive used mt stylus twice since i got device
yh i never really use mine especially with duttys rom

Obviously it can scratch, it's only plastic. The front of my HD has little scratches all over it, all on the included screen protector.
Keep the tip of your stylus clean or use a screen protector, pretty much common sense really.
I use mine all the time, and i have no scratches at all. You people must press VERY hard!
Kind of them to bundle a screen protector with the package but why not send a Blackstone that's already got one applied? Or even better just make a more resilient screen, I don't remember any other of my HTCs having this problem!

Is there any screen protector on X1 by default?

Hey guys
today I bought my X1.
I wanted to apply a screen protector but it seems that there is one applied already. Therefore my question: Is there any screen protector applied by default or is there any screen protector included in the purchased parts package?
Please help me!
2nd question: I want to upgrade to WM 6.5. Which steps do I have to follow to have a successful upgrade?
1. I don't think there is one (at least mine didn't come w/ one).
2. You need to do flash Hard-SPL first (search it how in the development forum). Then you would have to install custom ROM made by the xda chefs (I have gtrab's ROM and it's winmo 6.5 w/ lots of goodies on it).

There is a protective sheet on the screen, but I don't think it's meant to be used as a screen protector (like the sheets on the back of the display part).

Check this tutorial. You can download and flash any ROM from the X1 ROM forum.

Thank you for the answer!
Do I have to remove this protective sheet first or can I just apply the protector?
Please find attached a picture with the area marked from which I think it could be a default "screen protector". What do you think?

all mine comes with is a lcd and a touch sensitive digitizer on it
if you remove the digitizer the screen will no longer respond
and even if it did come with a protector applying another would
only make it less sensitiv

Any method that will work!!!??

Hi All,
Sorry if this is already on the forum but I cant seem to find a method that works right.. I stuck my phone in my girlfriends handbag whilst on holiday and on the beach, sand got into her bag and scratched the hell out of it, including the touch-screen. I have bought Displex but even that does not work well on the outside rim let alone the touch screen.
Is there any possilble way to remove these scratches??
Anyone got any suggestions..
Thank you

Lol very good, I could go down that route, unfortunatley no I did not have the protector on ... If I did apply the screen protector.. would it fade out the scratches if not the major ones, perhaps the minor ones.
Ill try that

Thanks for the Message, might sound silly to you but how much are we roughly talking for a screen and perhaps the casing as the front has a number of scratches too.
I have not had time to whizz through this website as mostly I check it through work so apologies if there is a thread on this already.

It can help after wards sometimes I had TYTN2 before with a similar problem I applied the protector after it was scratched and I was pretty happy with the results I could only see scratches when I really looked for them in light so its worth a shot before replacing anything cheaper too
Still think my first idea is better
Fact of life these things get damaged sooner or later. I would just accept the fact that it's damaged as long as it works. You will probably move onto the next device in a few months!

[Q] Glass Screen Protector And Case

hello everyone. i'm looking for some advice or maybe someone that has already had experience with this. yesterday i got this screen protector in the mail. http://mimeusa.com/product/galaxy-s4-ghost-glass-tempered-glass-screen-protector/ i'm loving it, but it goes to the edge of the phone. the case that i already had http://www.amazon.com/GTMax-Checker...=1368372393&sr=1-1&keywords=gtmax+smoke+i9500 is already a pretty tight fit case so it doesnt go up over the screen protector as well as i'd like. so i'm looking for a new case. i like the way the red spigen hybrid case looks, but i have 1 problem with it. it doesnt have the cut outs for the power and volume buttons. my new case HAS to have those cut out. in the past i just havent had a good experience with cases that have buttons over those. it doesnt matter if it's see through or not. so does anyone have any advice or suggestions on a case that will be a good fit with my new screen protector that has the volume and power buttons cut out? if a thread with this question has already been created please point me to that thread. not a thread thats just talking about cases and screen protectors that doesnt have this question in it. thank you in advance.
