Can you flash your rom to one of our other ROMS here.
You can backup using Google Sync / Microsoft MyPhone / PPCPIMBackup

Dont backup/restore SMS messages when you update the system

I made the back of my all database incl. SMS and email accounts, with the program Pocket Backup Plus.
Then I updated the system to the 4.00.11 (also testes 4.0016) from 4.00.05.
After that I restored SMS database (the porccess was made without errors or any special message, everything seems ok) but:
I can send the SMS but I cannot receive the SMS any more!!!!!
No way.
After the hard-reset (fresh 4.00.16 ROM) all started to work OK. I can send and I see received SMS sound alerts. Of course in this version of ROM the device is not wakeing-up if SMS received, only sound alert is.
I can verify that the above info is true.
Ever since I've upgraded my T-Mo xda to WM2003, the restored SMS database affect the receipt of new SMS.
I have flashed my ROM more than 16 times with all released and many cooked variants of the WM2003, from the original Ozone beta to the latest T-Mo .16 version. In all cases, if you use Pocket Backup Plus to restore, make sure to UNCHECK the restore of the email databases, if you still want to receive SMS's.
Apparently something that the Sprite Backup restores, screws up the SMS database and all new SMS get lost or stuck somewhere in your phone, although the network operator thinks that the message is sent to your phone sucessfully.
Yes my friends, i've mentioned this in a previous post. It doesnt matter which ROM versions you change to any backup useing Pocket Backup will corrupt the XDAs mail databases. $hit happens!!
On the other hand does anybody know of backup software which will backup SMS and mail databases?

HELP - Not receiving Text Messages

Hi,
I have sent myself several text messages from my providers website ( vodafone NZ).
They do not come thru to my device ( WM5, Jas Jar : see below ).
I have reinstalled the ROM, and re loaded back up data via Sprite backup software. Still not working.
Any ideas where to start to investigate this issue ?
Thanks
When did it start?
Does the same happen with other people sending you messages?
Can you send messages to others?
Exact steps taken and observations of any errors that appear, if any?
Does it happen if you do a hard reset but then DON'T use Spite to restore data? Ie start from a fresh install.

Click to collapse
check the sent items in the vodafone website, I have had problems with the vodafone.co.nz webbased system as well, the sent items folder will tell you if they have actually been sent, its been buggy for quite some time now
Back to normal now, I did a hard reset and functions turned back on with Test messages, then I installed my back up without the email load. I reloaded all email setup manually again !

HELP - SMS Bug/Problem

Hi there.
First, I don't know if this is the right place to open this thread, so if it isn't I apologise...
I'm having a slight problem in my wizard... a few days ago, I accidentaly erased some sms's I wans't supposed to, so I went to the Deleted Items folder, and copied the sms I wanted to save... in the meantime I recieved 3 more sms's...
I go to my inbox, and I can't see those... but I keep with the "warning" I have 3 new sms's, or SMS/MMS: 3 Unread, if you prefer...
after that I recieved lot's more sms's and they all appear like SMS/MMS: 4(or 5 or 6 it depends)...
I allready tried to reset the wizard, but it didn't work... is there anything I can do, besides hard-reseting or installing a new ROM ?
I use the ROM WM6.1 CLEAN & FAST from JvdSpank.
Thanks
Ok, problem solved.
I did a backup with PIMbackup, erased all sms's and then restored them... it worked...
sorry for any inconvenience.
thanks

[Q] SMS Mixed up

Hello,
first of all, I did use the search function in this board, also google and stuff. But those solutions I read weren't successful. So please be clement
I made a backup of all my sms before getting a new Rom on my Touch HD und I usually used the conversion-mode of displaying the sms.
When I restored the sms they were and still are cut in "sent by myself" and "received" in the conversion-mode. I've read, that this is a known bug by using PIM Backup and restoring the backup while the sms-folder is displayed in conversion-mode. So I made a hardreset and changed the display-mode to simple and restored the sms again. After that I made a softreset and changed the display-mode to conversion again, followed by a second softreset.
But my problem wasn't solved. I tried the same with SPB Backup which unfortunately changed nothing.
In Simple-mode the Date and Order of the messages are correct. Right now I'm using the RTT_LEET_R8_COM2 ROM (WM 6.5)
I hope there are some solutions for this stubborn problem.

HD2 don't send SMS

Hi, i flashed Laurentius Ultimate Power ROM and my HD2 is not sending sms now. If i write some sms and send it, sms is in outbox folder, but never will be sent. If i choose "retry send" options on unsent message, nothing happen. Message stay in outbox folder. I tryied restart phone, but i cant still send sms. I am not sure, that HR will help me. In sms settings i have "Delivery" set on "immediate". Have you some advice to me, where can be problem?
Thanks, Q.
Two options: Search for the same topic inside the forum (there are quite a few threads about this), or ask in the L26 ROM thread, maybe others have the same issue, too.
Get the latest sms function update from htc website.
