Hey there,
i installed swype and it was just nice.
but badly, it deleted all of my passwords: w-lan, mails, dataconnection, facebook, etc.
i uninstalled it, because all programmes didnt remember the pw's again.
so, everythings just like before, but not facebook app.
is there a way to "reset" the app or cache, so that it will save my login again?
thanks.

From what I've read, its an issue that they haven't fixed just yet. Which version of FB do you have?
its version 1.007.
maybe reinstalling the app could help?
DN41
There is a newer version out, 1.1.0.17
Download it from Marketplace.
thanks.
i'll try that
DN41
edit: installed new one...doesnt work too...
it must be a setting which was overwritten by swype...
Yeah, i've read swype has issues, although, mine is fine since it came installed on my USHD2. Try uninstalling swype, and see if it works. My FB accounts auto logs me in.
as i told, i did uninstall it
but doesnt change anything

Mine stopped saving loggin info the minute I installed swype
Mine stopped auto-saving a couple of weeks ago for no reason. And I had Swype installed long before that. Actually I haven't had anything new installed for a while. It just stopped working.
You guys should check out the Facebook thread for more info and updates on the app.

I stopped using it anyway.
I use touch.facebook.com
It's way more advanced than the app.
had to do a hardreset because of another issue.
as i thought, everthings fine again and i will not install swype anymore

I don't have swype but the facebook app still won't remember my login.
If I quit the app then my login credentials are gone. Gotta retype login and pass again each time.
Any thoughts?
P.S. I'm on a stock ROM and the FB app is the latest version.
nope sorry. had same issue, only help was performing a hard reset.

Well, I havent dont anything different with facebook.. BUT today I clicked on the application and now it is once again saving my login info. the only thing I have done to my phone in the past several days is UNINSTALL PALRINGO and REINSTALL a newer version.
hmm.. I just checked again and YES it is still saving my info. I wonder what caused this to start working again...
hi,
has the problem been fixed ? Anyone has any idea ? My facebook still unable to save login..
Since i have updated my Rom to 1.72, its been fine :S

Same here. It seems a lot of users are having this issue. It seems its a recent issue. Something changed on facebook login requirements? There are a few threads on here reporting this issue.
same here. For me I think Swype crashed it, but some people report its caused by deleting some temp folders like using the auto clean up in SKTools or something
Reinstalling from Omarket worked for me. Was mentioned in another thread.

Hey guys,
my HD2 is running evo hd2 v90 since about two months. But from the beginning on i had problems with some google apps.
Google maps doenst work for me. When i start my HD2 i get the notification that google maps has been closed. I can't open the app. Google mail istn startable too. The other google apps like play store, talk, search are working. I think these problems are the reason why my HD2 stucks sometimes. After an undefinite period of time my apps dont start anymore. I can klick the apps but nothing happen. Navigation through the screens etc. is no problem.
Where do i get the zips to flash google maps and google mail? Perhaps it's the solution for my problem. Or does anyone has antoher idea how to solve this?
Thx guys
Best Regards
Marko
Google maps regularly closes during navigation, it's not a force close, it just disappears. I have made sure it's protected, I have tried clearing data and cache of Google maps. The version is 9.16.2. I'm on B200, on the GRA-L09.
Does this happen to anyone else?

I have this problem too (i'm on b200). Maps doesn't appear in the protected app list.
Note that similar issues occurred for background apps (wallpaper auto changer, calendar widget, etc.) and i've fixed them using performance mode in power saving settings instead of smart/intelligent.
MapsD (NimaGL2 Default Edition).apk
I am on b200 aswell and gad the same problem.
I need maps and google navigation at work so this wasnt acceptable for me.
I rooted my mobile and deinstalleted google maps completly.
Then iinstalled maps in the version 6.14 ,which I prefer much more.
I installes by this app ( MapsD (NimaGL2 Default Edition).apk ).
Since then no crash or closing anymore

I have flashed the fromfuture but haven't had the opportunity to test the navigation properly yet. I will report back. If it doesn't help I will try the solution suggested above.
I still have the same problem with the fromfuture rom. Not really sure what to do, I may have to roll back to an earlier rom and just live with that.

Hi, I have solved this problem turning on the gps... With B200
I have a problem with play store: if i download an app from it, it remains stuck at 100% downloaded but it doesn't install... it needs sometimes even 3 or 4 minutes to start installation. Same thing for uninstall... I have just tried to clear play store memory (cache + memory) and play services memory but it doesn't help...
Seems i have found the problem... i have uninstalled and re installed nova launcher and now it seems to work perfectly... i think that's something related to "add shortcuts in home pages" in play store settings...
It already happened to me on my former phone. But I solved the problem by rebooting the phone
Problems persist... i've done a factory reset but nothing: sometimes it's impossible to install/uninstall applications from Play Store, the progress bar of download stuck at 100% but the app won't install... sometimes it needs some minutes, sometimes it's just instantly... it's something play store server related? If i try to uninstall app from touchwiz it's simply instantly even if however, if go to app list in play store, the app i've just uninstalled is still present in the apps list... .
I noticed that sometimes even the manual update of phone firmware doesn't work and the "checking update page" appears sometimes instantly ans sometimes after some minutes...
Same problems here. Noticed the same when requesting system update for the gear s3 from the phone. Also happening on my tab s3...

Have you tried to update Google play services? And play store to the latest version. Do both of these then boot to recovery and wipe cache and reboot.

Fingers crossed
Some apps have permissions to draw over screen and we need to disable this permission for apps to install correctly. I had a similar issue on my previous phone where the apps were stuck at 99% installation and then just dropped off. I had to literally disable 'Screen overlay' for almost each app for play store to install correctly.
Also, If you are able to sideload apks without any issues then it may be a play store related issue.
Hiya.
I have the same issue, and have for around 1 week now. Only with PlayStore, sideloading works fine
Has someone found a solution for this? I have noticed that sometimes it installs apps without any problems and sometimes remains stuck also for minutes! I can't realize what causes these slow down... maybe is something related to play store servers?
I have the same problem with 100% download and no install afterwards.
But at the same time I noticed two other problems:
- Badge Notification is not working - I don't see the "badge" on app's icon, when I receive messages.
- boon payment app is not working; when I touch screen to activate payment process (NFC chip), it supposed to countdown 60 s, but nothing happens.
I don't know if this is part of same problem. However I've tried - without success:
- reboot phone
- clear data/cache Google Play Store
- clear data/cache Google Play Services
- clear data Badge Provider
- clear data/cache TouchWiz
- reboot to recovery and clear cache
I think there is some process that should be reset (clear)... Any other suggestions? I'd try factory restore as very, very, very last option.

I've tried factory reset (2 times), but didn't help...
Having same issue with S8 and Tab S3. Also notifications are delayed for random amount of time. Some lag and connection timeouts with different applications, not all though.
Tried factory reset couple times, it fixed the problems for a while but after 1-2 hours they came back. Checked with safe mode if some 3rd party app is causing this. Issues remained in safe mode too.
Got it to work for now by clearing cache and data from Google Framework Services and Google Play Store. Lastly removed and re-added my Google account, rebooted device and wiped cache partition.
Notifications are now on time, Play store starts install instantly.
Still afraid that this is only a temporary fix, waiting to see if these problems arise again after few hours of usage.
Seems there is an issue with Google services on some Samsung devices, mainly running Nougat 7.0
